They're working out very well for us. We had literally just bought us a new house. They were able to come in and provide insight for some of the things more in-depth than the initial home inspection covered. We will probably be calling them here soon again to replace the plumbing of our house. We weren't charged over that big deal amount.

The plumber called et me know he would be on his way to the home in 30-45 minutes. He arrived on time came straight in and got to work. The drain was cleaned out in less than 30 minutes. They honored the $66 drain cleaning discount. He also looked at another existing issue and gave me some advice on how to fix.

A+ service from start to finish. Office answered phone promptly and scheduled service for next day. Tech (Joe) arrived on time and gave us an estimate for installing new faucet, shutoff valves and drain pipes. When installing the drain pipes tech showed us the severe rust on inside of sink. I Ok'd replacement of sink (which I knew would have to be replaced soon) , and sink was delivered within 1 hr. The techs were very professional, did the job well, explained everything re costs of repair. We are very pleased with this company and will certainly use them again!

When Gary arrived and we told him what our problem was, he immediately knew what to look for and how to fix it. Replaced the water supply line on the commode and then cleared the drain on one of the two sinks also in the master bath. We also had a friendly chat and found out that Gary was an avid Bowler and told him my husband had managed three bowling centers and was also a Hall of Fame bowler in the past in Nashville.

He did not use his drain cleaning machine because it would not be safe with our older type of pipes. He recommended and sold me 4 quarts of the drain treatment solution for $49. I had a $59 Angie,s List coupon for the drain cleaning, so the total came to $108. He also gave me free advice on a couple of other minor plumbing problems that I was then able to take care of myself. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable.

terribble- I read their response and it is NOT accurate. Their manager called to talked to me about my review and admitted that they should have given me options to repair which they DID NOT DO. They only gave me pricing to replace the units and neither attempted to repair nor gave price to do so. They were very keen to discuss the tankless option and only after repeatedly stating I did not think that was for me would they even give me pricing of new tank units, and then the pricing was for two units even though only one was borken. The "broken gas valve" referenced as receiving a blow is in fact only the plastic knob that you turn into position to light the pilot, it simply cracked when my husband was turning it, the water heater was not dealt some mysterious death blow. The fact that they were not honest in their response is further reason why I would never ever recommend their service. Not only was the heater that was broken repaired cheaply, the one that was never broken at all but they wanted to replace is chugging along nicely as well. This is in contrast to their insistence that both needed to be replaced (because allegedly if they only replaced one, the second would stress out when the replaced one was up and running).

I had received a flyer in the mail for $50 off any service with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. Since I'm an Angie's list member, I checked them out there first, which they have great ratings. I called and spoke with Rita. She was polite and professional. Since I was calling around 5:30 pm, it was considered an emergency after hours call, which is an extra $50 on top of the normal $49 service call charge...so it would be $99 to just come out. Since I'm an Angie's List member, the $49 part of the fee was waived. They did call me, per my request, when they were about 15 minutes from arriving. Gary, the plumber, access the situation and was able to get it working as mentioned. Then he showed me how to turn the water off at the city meter in our yard near the street using a "water key" going forward instead of using the gate type of valve that is not working properly. The cost to replace the gate valve would have been over $400...a little pricey. Since it is working now we elected to not replace it. Gary was polite and professional as well. There were prompt and available to come out right away to get the water working.

The technician thoroughly check things out from the water line to the fridge to all the fixtures to going into the crawlspace to inspect the pipes. He replaced two warped flappers and our our toilets now work better than they did when they were brand new. ======= UPDATE ======= Well, the new flappers fixed the continual leak but now our toilets won't STOP flushing about 30% of the time. Another plumber came out and I told him the previous plumber had replaced the flappers and why. He apparently had no clue how to fix the problem. He didn't even attempt to. He blamed it on obsolete technology -- like there aren't millions of toilets out there WITh flappers that are working just fine. His recommendation was for me to replace our toilets!!! Our toilets aren't even six years old. I've had other plumbers at our other houses who could fix this issue. Why suddenly is the repair no longer possible? That's like saying "we can't fix that creaky floorboard without ripping out your entire floor and replacing it." I will find me another plumber. You had two chances Ben Franklin. Maybe you should've stuck with kites and lightnin.

They came on time and the were able to fix it quickly. It was very easy to schedule the appointment. One person came to my home to do the work. He seemed very concerned during the appointment and made sure not to get water on the floors. I appreciated that.

I have always been pleased with this company's service. They are professional and courteous. knowledgeable also. More expensive but in the long run, I know that I will be pleased and I will not have to have them come back and re-do the work. This company hires good caliber people.

We use them for our primary residence and rental property. They show up when they say, tell you exactly what to expect and the cost before they get started.

Joe arrived within the time window given by the scheduler, who called in advance of his coming. After perusing the home to be sure he understood all that needed to be done, he first took care of the toilet, pedestal and sink, allowing access for the men working on the floors. He placed those items carefully, after assuring all were completely dry, on a towel in a basement room. He then took care of the previously mentioned items. Joe was very neat in both appearance and in his work, cleaning up after himself and leaving everything as neat as it was when he arrived (and, in some cases, even neater). This company was recommended on Angie's list and it's a pleasure to add our very strong recommendation to the earlier praises.

Very nice tech who put on shoe protectors and I told him we were part of Ben Franklin maintenance plan and had leaking toilet. He replaced parts and checked other 2 and there was no charge as under warranty from over 6 months ago. great service!

Technician tried to sell me a 300+ product twice. He asked me to sign a blank service agreement and said he would fill it in later, which I did not do. Then he came in after job was finished and tried to sell me the same 300+ product again and tried to get me to get a year service agreement. I was busy at the time, but later when I went out to see the job done, I noticed that he had melted the exterior siding on my home. The technician did not mention this to me. I immediately called and was assured that this was not the way they do business and it would be taken care of. After MANY phone calls, the issue is not resolved!!!! I will be making a complaint to the BBB. They also have already cashed my check!!!!!

Toilet is working well. The company was very punctual in scheduling service, very punctual during window of service provided. Pricing was very clear and reasonable. Provided advice for new type of toilet when the time comes to replace.

We think Ben Franklin Plumbing are the best plumbers around. We use them for all our needs so when we saw the Angie's list coupon we bought it. We were already sold on how professional, how attentive, and what good service they give. This visit was no different. They always seem to do a little extra, and they always try to make sure that we are not spending more than necessary. We would have recommended them to anyone prior to Angie's list. But nice to have our thoughts reconfirmed by others.

We purchased a drain clearance big deal, but it turned out that the problem was deeper, in one of our sewer pipes, so the plumber accessed that and was able to clear the blockage. This wasn't covered under the deal, but we appreciated that the plumber stayed late (it took several hours and was after 7 PM by the time he finished) to resolve the issue. He was very punctual and professional. Will use them again for future jobs.

They were very responsive, punctual and honest. I thought I had a problem but he told me that I did not have a problem. It was pretty amazing. I called them in the morning and they had two options that afternoon to come out.

We have used Benjamin and Franklin for serveral different plumbing issues. We have used them several times after receiving the quote and have not several times due to the cost. However, we had a leaky toilet in our front bath and got the coupon from Angies List which they honored for the initial problem. Once they fix the initial problem and tested the toiled to be sure it was working properly it was discovered that the issue was far more detailed and involved both the front toilet and master bathroom toilet. In order to fix the issue the piping system between the 2 bathrooms had to be totally reconfigured so that each toilet would operate correctly without backing up into each other. Although the work turned out be more costly and indepth that our original plan we moved forward and are very pleased with thte final results. They worked with us on discounts due to previously working with us and for being a member of Angies List. The young man that came out in the morning around 9:30 to start the original job stayed there and worked non-stop until around 9:30pm trying to complete the job that day as promised. Unfortunately due to the age of our home there was a part that was difficult to come by and they finally had to wait until the next day for it to be delivered from an out of town source. The company sent over a supervisor to explain what the problem was and why it was necessary to fix it now instead of just repairing and hoping for the best. He was very honest and fair with his assessment and pricing. As the daughter of a Plumber of many years, it was very clear to me that he was honest and not extrating the work that needed to be done. When it became apparanet that the part needed to tie to the drain lines for the toilets back together was not going to be available until the next day they explained how they were going to temporaily hook up the master bathroom to be used during the night and would only have to take a few hours the next day to complete the hook-up of the front bathroom. The young mang who started the job early that morning stayed on the job from 9:30am until 9:30pm with out leaving in order for us to have at least one working bathroom. As promised he was at our house at 9:30 the next morning with another helper and the work was complete and working perfectly before 11:00 am. WE are very pleased with the work performed and will not hesitate to use them again. They do tend to be a little more expensive that some of the other companies we have gotten quotes from but I feel that the professionalism and responsiveness is well worth any difference in cost. They were the only company that was available to show up on the same day called and to get the work done so quickly and efficiently.

The plumber (Joe) from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing who visited our home arrived at the scheduled time, introduced himself, and put on shoe covers before entering our house. He listened as I outlined our problems and asked several questions to better understand our needs. He explained all work he would perform, provided a straightforward cost estimate, and discussed the benefits of their service program; for an $8 monthly fee members receive a free annual house and water heater inspection, 15% discount on all, and priority scheduling. We elected to have him perform all work and also joined the service program. Joe performed the work promptly and explained what he was doing along the way. Overall, we are satisfied with the service we received from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. We will use them for our future plumbing needs and recommend them to fellow Angie's List members.

He had to take apart all the pipes under my kitchen sink , then he used an electric snake to clear out the drain. The man that came was very professional and explained what & why he had to do it that way . He put booties on his shoes each time he came into my house from outside , he also made sure the sink drained properly before he completely cleaned up everything.
