They were great. They had to come and replace our water heater. Everything was just punctual and responsive and they knew what they were doing.

I have a sump pump in the garage that kicks on if the sewer drainage stops up and the water level rises to certain level. If it's not draining properly, a buzzer goes off. The buzzer kept going off so I called to see if Benjamin Franklin Plumbing would send a technician to fix the issue. The technician came out and clearly explained how the system worked and what the issue was causing it not to drain properly. He replaced the faulty part in the pump and noticed a tank above the water heater that was not working correctly also. He replaced both and did so quickly. He was very professional and did quality work.

We had a HUGE waterbill in which the local water company called us and asked us to investigate. Benjamin plumbing came out on the same day we called and helped us locate the leak in an upstairs bathroom. We had everything repaired and working correctly on under an hour.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in my opinion made history today. I was given an 8am-1000am window and they actually came at 8am! WOW. Daniel I believe is his name introduced himself and explained to me what he was going to be doing and asked me where I wanted him to start. He point out things that needed to be done and provided me with upfront pricing for those things. I will be using this company again in the future.

The job was performed quickly and in a timely manner.

We just moved into a new house and after being told by the inspector that the garbage disposal worked fine we realized that it would not dispose of citrus peels and other things it should have no problems with. Since we did not have the tools or know-how to install our own we set up an appointment with B.F. Plumbing after looking them up on Angie's list. Justin was prompt and courteous. They provided three estimates for different models. The installation was quick, and it has worked well since. Overall it was a good experience. The only cons involved transparency of pricing. While a price was provided for installation of each of three different hp disposals, the make/model was not provided, even after I asked. Also, when I asked how much was for parts mad how much for labor he could not provide the breakdown Looking back I think I should have bought my own disposal and had them install it, however I don't know because I don't know how much the installation would have cost and what make/model I have.

We had a minor plumbing problem and our technician didn't want to charge us for the service call, so he asked if we'd had our annual plumbing inspection and we said we had not. He said if they could do that, it would be much more cost effective and could cover everything at one time. We were very appreciative.

He said that if I took the full house package I could get a 40 percent discount for plumbing, heating and air conditioning. So there was a substantial discount if I took him to do a full house package but I didn't sign the contract. I just felt pressured; he was a salesman and I just felt that I was being sold a contract. He was very responsive.

Went really well, He was so sweet and knowledgeable. He looked at some other items that I thought of since he was there. I felt he was honest and not trying to sell me something that I didn't need, although there he could have easily done it. Very trustworthy. I would highly recommend them and will use their services in the future.

When I was experiencing high chlorine levels in my tap water, I realized my new filtration system was not working properly. Eric was scheduled to come out on the 2nd, but called me 2 days before, and by asking me to push a few buttons on the unit, he was able to determine the issue was a defective valve. He and Greg came first thing yesterday morning, and replaced the part of the unit that was not working. They tested the system and the water, and all of the chlorine was removed. It's obvious this company is extremely concerned with good customer service and quality. As for the unit, there are always times when a product has a defect, but it was promptly repaired, and no fault of this company. I am SO glad to have water I feel is safe to drink, and that will remove all the chemicals, and other harmful substances. Also looking forward to improved condition of skin and hair, and improving the actual fabrics when laundering them. I already noticed a difference in the smell of the water this am. So far, I have been extremely pleased and impressed with the service techs (Greg and Justin) and Eric (advisor), and would highly recommend them.

The service turned out okay but I thought the price was a little high. They took care of the problem quickly and effectively. They got the job done in about 4-5 hours.

The serviceman arrived within the stated time period. He explained the check out procedure that he was there to do. We began a check of the house that included all plumbing fixtures, We went under the house for an inspection of the water lines and sewer system. We discussed water pressure and the in coming water pressure was checked at the outside hose bib, [60psi]. Drained the hot water heater and inspected the andiod rod for amount of corrosion and discussed the time left before a new rod would be necessary. The tank was refilled the power turned back on. Recommendations where discussed. I was impressed and have been put at ease by the inspection.

Plumber was so nice, friendly, professional. He performed a walk through and evaluated all of my plumbing for possible repairs. He was excellent! However, when i received their proposal, the estimated cost was twice as much as previous estimates I received. He did not charge me for the walk through, since I'm an Angie's List customer, which was a great service to me! However, I just could not choose their services over other proposals due to the estimated cost. I will definitely call them in the future and consider their services, as I always request 3 quotes for any major service or purchase I make. If their price were more reasonable, I would definitely select this company.

Our new house did not have a pressure regulating valve and the 130psi line pressure made us nervous, so we contacted some highly-rated plumbers on Angie's List. Ben Franklin came through with the lowest price estimate and we had used them before with good results, so decided to go with them again. We could not be happier with the whole process - scheduling, estimating, and executing. Everyone was courteous and professional; the job was done on time and with no mess to clean up. I highly recommend Ben Franklin to anyone needing plumbing services.

I was very impressed with Justin and this company's trying to accommodate my emergency situation with a clogged toilet. While he was here, we discussed my kitchen faucet, and for sanitary purposes, I decided to purchase a touchless one. Justin installed this a few days ago, and it is wonderful! He did an excellent job, and made sure things were functioning properly, and cleaned up the area before he left. We also discussed the horrible quality of our city water (living within 500 yds. of the water treatment plant), and I scheduled Eric to come out and test my water. I thought I would throw up when I saw the sludge that was suspended in my tap water, as well as filtered water from my refrigerator. I knew the levels of some questionable particulates were too high in our water, and decided to purchase a whole house filtration system. Justin installed it today, and replaced a valve he thought was not installed properly (by previous company), at no charge. I am hoping this system will be the answer to lime build-up, scale, and just the horrible taste and quality of our water. Eric will make a return visit in approx. 10 days to see how the system is working, and go over questions I might have after using it for that time period. I am extremely pleased, and feel like I now have a reputable company I can call on for all my plumbing issues. I have used other plumbers in the 4.5 yrs. living here, and none compare to Ben Franklin !

The service person was waiting on me when I arrived home. When he first came in he did not introduce himself just proceeded to the room where I leak was. He realized he did not introduce himself then said, "I didn't introduce myself - I'm Henry" After looking at what might have to be done to fix the leak, Henry said it would be around 569.00 to cut out the ceiling to see where the leak is coming from. I then asked if there are any specials or discounts offered at this time. He said no but would see what he could do. Then as we were waling upstairs he said I guess you're like a poor white woman living in a trailer park like poor white trash..... I said, "No I don't think so" I didn't feel comfortable confronting him about his statement because I was here alone with him. I guess he was making some sort of statement because most of the furniture is out of the house. My house is on the market and I'm in the middle of moving and have moved most of the furniture out of the house. He (Henry) could tell something was wrong and stated sorry for the trouble as he was leaving. I would suggest appropriate/proper communication training for all of your employees. ***UPDATE - The manager from the company contacted me multiple times to apologize for my experience and to let me know what steps are being taken to rectify this event. The attentiveness and professionalism shown by the manager demonstrates that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing takes customer service VERY SERIOUSLY. Based on my interactions with the manager I would definitely call on this company again. ***

Job went very well. Daniel was knowledgeable and well versed on what needed to be repaired. He was very careful to ensure no problems were encountered during the repair process. He presented alternatives as it related to what was available when it came to replacing the internal flushing mechanism. I choose to have the brass vs plastic flushing mechanism. Prior to Daniel presenting the option of brass vs plastic, I had no idea that brass was an alternative. He also did a check of my water pressure to ensure that was not a problem. I am impressed with Daniel's thoroughness in not only repairing my toilet but looking at other plumbing issues (water heater) which might come up in the future, it was a sales pitch, but very interesting. I will definitely use Benjamin Franklin again.

Everything was excellent. The worker was on time, tidy, and professional. I just did not expect the extra charge. Great job!

The guy they sent was very inexperienced. He cut a hole in our ceiling for no reason. They have a large staff and you never know who you are going to get.

They are expensive, but they did a good work.

Went very well...no complaints. Guys were here and worked all day long. It was a long day for them. Had additional issues as a result of the work and they completed those eagerly and entirely to satisfaction. I'm glad I chose Benjamin Franklin over the other quotes I received.

I received estimates from 5 different plumbing companies since this was a major cost project, much more than a simple water heater replacement project. Benjamin Franklin was by far the highest estimate received for the same water heater quoted by all 5 vendors, by several hundred dollars.

Our kitchen sink had a stubborn clog and standing water. I found a special price on Angie's list from this provider so I was very happy with the cost. The appointment was easy to set up. The plumber was prompt, courteous, professional - all of those things that you would want. However, after 30 - 45 minutes he was unable to unclog the drain. He recommended instead replacement of the plumbing. It's 60 year old plumbing, so I don't believe he was completely off base or intentionally trying to sell me an unnecessary repair. However, I called a second plumber who was able to unclog the drain. I did not complain to this provider, so I can't say how they would have responded. Generally, I had a good impression, but unfortunately they weren't able to do what someone else was able to do. Update: I agree no one's perfect. I'm very appreciative that they addressed my issue and refunded the purchase price. I have a very positive impression of this company and would call on them again.
