They got there, they were very prompt. They go there since we got them in and took care of the problem right away. Very good job. I'm liking the repair. Very professional. I have no complains. The only thing I remember not being 100% pleased about was, the plumber made the choice without really asking me. They should ask the customer about the type of pipe to use. I don;t remember the name of that thing but instead of PVC, there's a clear plastic that's being used and so I wanted that to be used. He put in copper pipe instead of the stuff that were talking about. I know copper is expensive to use but I don't really know why he made that choice. They attached the copper to the existing PVC. I'm not sure that was the best solution. I was just disappointed about that. That's the only one thing I think they should pay attention about.

It was fine. Scheduling was very easy. The plumber was really nice and got the job done in about 1 ½ hours.

They stuck with the deal I bought. It would have cost me $140 with other plumbers who should have been cheaper. He was nice and professional. He was thorough and explained everything to me. It was half of what they did.

They were very easy to work with in scheduling our visit. They showed up on time and performed the diagnosis of the water heater. It was determine that it was leaking from two different places (about 13 years old) and needed to be replaced. The service technician gave me my options and I picked one. When I asked when he could do the work, he said now. I was very pleased with that. He called his office and had the water heater delivered. During that time, he removed the existing water heater and prepared for the install. In a very short period of time, the new water heater (very good quality product) was delivered and within an hour, he was packed up and gone. It was a job very well done. The overall experience with Benjamin Franklin is EXCELLENT. I highly recommend their services.

We didn't like what they did. They came in for one thing and then they recommended a bunch of other stuff. Their price wasn't exactly what it should have been. They came to do the job within a week or two. I wouldn't recommend them. I didn't like that they overcharged. I few months later we had to hire somebody else because we had problems with the pipes.

The service call went very well. Caleb was very knowledgeable and did a great job flushing the hot water tank and performing the inspection. He explained the minor problems found and the options to fix them without pressuring or attempting to up sell. I will definitely use them again for future plumbing needs.

We called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to come investigate when both our toilets were plugged up and started leaking into the unfinished basement. Given that we called at 8:30am on a Sunday, I'm reasonably pleased that they could send someone out by 1:30pm, but given that we had no toilets or showers in the meantime, it would have been nice if they could have come sooner. Once their service man Jeff got there, he diagnosed it as a plugged main sewer line and snaked it out -- all told it took about an hour and a half and things are working fine now. I'm very happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism of our service tech. On the other hand, as I've mentioned before in another review, I'm not a big fan of Benjamin Franklin's "flat-rate" pricing, in that you pay based on the job type and not based on how long or involved the job is. I would much rather pay for parts and labor by the hour. That being said, based on research, it appears they amount I was charged wasn't unreasonable, and I would be willing to use them again in a similar "emergency" situation, as our usual plumber (a one-man shop) can't come by at a moment's notice.

I would give them four stars out of five. They came out two or three different times because the service they came for had four pieces to it. So they had to come back and do some more things. He fixed the actual problem that I had with no problems. But, we found some other stuff for them to do at the same time. They did great. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. But it included the other stuff that I added on. I was a little put off by the first visit when I thought the guy was just trying to make money. Then, I ran into some other problems which showed me that I did need to actually do that.

Both John and Justin did both jobs and did excellent work. Very professional and knowledgeable. I was shown an old pipe (galvanized) and could not get a pencil in the line. Will refer this company to anyone who need an excellent plumber.

It was expensive. It was good but I think it was overpriced.

Exceeded our expectations. We called for service based on Angie's List ratings. They scheduled for the same day, were on time, and had all the parts we needed. They were friendly and efficient.

The BF service rep was polite and informative. He let us know exactly what he was doing and when, and how much the necessary repairs would be also, prior to performing them. Our showers are working better than when we purchased our home five years ago. We are quite pleased with the results. We also chose to join the "Ben Society" for $7.95/mth. This will provide us with an annual inspection and water heater flush as well as free regular business hour service calls and discounted repairs.

great!! Jeff was wonderful. I had used the $66 coupon on Angie's List and was braced for the spiel about how this was going to cost more because...... I was especially nervous when he had to cut the pipe to get to the clog. Apparently 40 yours of washing eventually causes enough "gunk" to accumulate in the vertical pipe so nothing flows. Cleaned, sealed, and working in under an hour!! Cost $66 AND trip charged waived for Angie's List members!! Best $66 I ever spent and now I have a plumber I can trust. Yes, I will call them again. Jeff was very professional. Jan in the office was also a pleasure to deal with. Most customer support these days is not pleasant. These folks are old school. They aim to please.

The scheduler called and reported that their crew as on their way, and they arrived onsite in approx. 30 min. John and Justin were the techs/plumbers installing this outside unit. Both were extremely polite and conscientious and explained the services planned for the installation, including working in the crawl space to run gas line and water connections. After the old water heater was disconnected, removed and the new one hooked up, John assisted me in determining that the hot water was reaching all outlets, that there were no pressure issues noted, and John provided me with an inservice on using the thermostat, gave me a tour of the outside unit and answered all of my followup questions. The original estimate given by Eric (our original contact) was that it would take half a day or so to perform the install; actual time on site was just a bit more than 4.5 hours. It's too early to tell if we will be as satisfied with the tankless system as we were with our old tank water heater, but I can certainly recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing and specifically their employees Eric, John and Justin for their professional services.

Monty was a true professional and new exactly what he was doing. Couldn't ask for a better plumber!

They came out the day I called. I had to have it done quickly, as we were leaving town, and they came out the next morning around 8 and were out before noon, as promised.

I continue to be extremely satisfied with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, from the customer service representatives to the service plumbers. I have NEVER had a bad experience with this company. We had horrific plumbing issues after moving into our home a little over a year ago. Benjamin Plumbing stuck with us through complicated diagnostics and repairs and stood behind everything they did each step of the way. Today was no different, beginning with my early morning call for help. They scheduled me in the afternoon, but I quickly received a call that they had additional workers coming in to help and was moved to the morning. All this started at 7 a.m and everything has been resolved and in working order now at 9:30 a.m. What service! Levi, as are all of the people from Ben Franklin Plumbing, was professional, polite, and expedient. Allow me to recommend their 'Club' as I have found it to give me peace of mind for very little expense. They installed the tankless water heater we have and all was covered by warranty today. Thank you, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

Ryan and Monty were waiting for me in the driveway when I arrived. As we stepped into the house, they pulled coverings on their shoes to protect the floors. I was *already* impressed. They assessed the two bathrooms, explained what we needed to do. One of the things they suggested was cutting an access into a bedroom wall. One of the drain pipes was quite loose and they were concerned it might not be connected to the vent. Since the house was sold (closing Friday) and the new owners had not and could not be consulted about the access panel, I asked Ryan if there was another way. He returned from the truck with a Christmas present from his wife--a camera that could look inside the wall. The drain pipe was connected to the vent pipe, saving us a considerable amount of money and preventing cutting the wall. The 'genera' contractor' had left a pipe disconnected from the drain and the plumbing beneath the sink was done very badly. Ryan and Monty re-plumbed the sink in accordance with codes. The Master bath was in the same sad shape and in addition the sinks were draining slowly. Ryan and Monty re-plumbed the sink, then determined that the drain pipes beneath the house were completely clogged. By this time, it was nearly six p.m., but they went back under the house (in a *very* tight and difficult location) and replaced the clogged lines. One of the old galvanized pipes was split and they replaced it as well. When they returned to the master bath, they discovered more bad installation from our 'general contractor' and corrected that as well. Unlike most plumbers, when these guys think they have a problem fixed, they test and re-test, check and re-check. These two fine gentlemen spent eight hours in that house. They were polite, friendly, congenial and the epitome of customer service. I will hire Benjamin Franklin and Ryan and Monty for all my plumbing needs.

Great experience. Jeff was on time, courteous, and professional. He took great care with protecting the floors and cleaned up nicely after a dirty job.

Overall, my experiences with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing were excellent. In fact, they were good enough to sign onto their annual maintenance plan, given that the leak they fixed was a pretty large one. Caleb had to work that night in a somewhat wet area of the crawl due to the leak, and he did a great job. He was the one who got me to thinking about repiping the kitchen line, which I already knew was going to be a problem in the future. Figuring I may as well do it now before it became more serious, I scheduled the appointment and Walter and his partner (whose name escapes me) did a spectacular job pulling out the old pipe and replacing what needed to be replaced. Walter encountered a hiccup where the previous homeowner apparently had zero idea how to properly tile a bathroom; they had tiled *around* the toilet instead of lifting it and tiling *underneath* of it. Thus, we had to buy a new toilet to fit the flange and horrible tile job. Finally, I scheduled another appointment to get a whole house shutoff installed, which (again) I knew needed to be done but Walter had mentioned in passing while he was at our house. Jeffrey came and installed it and pulled out some other old copper that wasn't being used and that I didn't want in the crawl space anymore. My only complaint was that he didn't properly brace the work he did, but he did come back out and make it 100% right. That's all a customer can ask for. If you want a good plumbing job done, you can count on Benjamin Franklin...they are a bit pricier than I'd like, but they have done a high quality job!

Experience was positive from first phone call, to courteous serviceman, thorough work, good follow-through. I would use again and recommend without reservation.

It went well in terms of the work. I would question pricing of the equipment, however. The original estimate was $1,748 to replace a 50 gal gas water heater. This included a $100 premium to extend the warranty on the heater from 6 years (std) to 10 years excluding the expansion tank. I was given a $100 credit coupon for reasons not entirely clear to me, but appreciated, lowering the price to $1,648 including removal and disposal of the old tank. The technician arrived ahead of schedule at 11:30a and was on his way out the driveway by approx. 2:30p for approximately a 3 hr stay to perform the work. Assume a labor fee of $100/hr (slightly higher than local average) that brings labor to $300. Assume consumables (solder, fittings, propane) to be $100. That means the new tank cost me about $1,248. That's a pricey piece of equipment. I think they might have done better than that.

Gary of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing just left the house - totally professional - great job. We will definitely keep using this company. Consistently great work at a fair price. Very satisfied with them!

On time. Professional. Knew what the price would be up front. Good quality on the items used and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone. They are not the cheapest, but then again, I have not had to call them back to fix any problems either.
