I ordered the $66 unclogging a drain deal on Saturday. I had a disposal that was leaking badly and a drain that was clogged. So I could not wash dishes or do the dishwasher. I was not given an option to set up an appointment on Saturday. So I made an appointment on Sunday. I had to call on Sunday and found out that it would be an after hours extra charge. I was a little upset that I could have gotten some one out that first day. Since it was Memorial Weekend, we had to wait till Tuesday. On Tuesday, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing came out, on time, and was very professional. The repairman was very professional and very helpful. He explained everything and gave me several different options. He did the job well.

This was a very positive experience and I would use this service provider again. Daniel S. was very patient answering my questions and addressing my concerns. He was very professional and did a great job.

Personable plumber but quoted expensive alternatives to make excessive bill seem reasonable. Would only use them for prepaid work in future. Bought service club to mitigage cost.

It was great. They got here fast (within hours of submitting for a recommendation on here). The guy was professional and up front about the pricing. He cut open the ceiling around where the leak was. Found out no pipes were affected. Ran some tests on the tub and finally found the source - the shower/tub fixtures. So, he sealed it and then cleaned up downstairs. In all - took an hour. It was awesome and not as expensive as I thought.

The fellow who was here went upstairs and turned on the faucets in the kitchen sink to check to see if he could get it to drain. Then he came down here without turning them off. Fortunately, I went upstairs, just as they were starting to overflow, and turned them off myself. There were some other things that were going on that just did not make me confident in their work. So, I made them leave. They never completed the service. I had to have someone else come in and do the work. There were no additional charges. Essentially, to me, I threw away $65. They came when they said they were going to. The guy was nice. Update: I received a call from Brad Curry - Operations Manager and we had a very good talk. Even though I told him it was not necessary, because Angieslist had credited my account, they reimbursed the $66 I had paid for the deal. I assured him we would give them a call if we have a need for a plumber in the future.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing's technician arrived and using drain cleaning machine to try clean my kitchen sink drain for over 1 hour, but he was not able to unclog my drain. He then decided to give up and left. We were later hired Mark from Drain Guy to clear our drain. He was succeed unclog our drain after 3 patiently hours. Benjamin Franklin Manager contacted us few days later and explained the $66 we paid for is just for simple clean that's why his technician was not staying longer to clear our drain. He also refunded our $66 due to the unclear Benjamin Franklin drain cleaning ad we purchased through Angie'slist

I discovered that my water heater was leaking and called several top name plumbing companies in the area. I received estimates from three of these companies and decided to use Benjamin Franklin due to their focus on plumbing. Benjamin Franklin pricing was competitive with those companies however, more expensive than buying a new water heater at big box hardware store. What I was most impressed with was Benjamin Franklin's professionalism, timeliness and workmanship. I was especially impressed with Caleb, the technician that did the installation. He was cautious, meticulous, and informative. This was a positive experience primarily because Caleb did a phenomenal job installing the new water heater. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is not the cheapest company, however, they offer licensed/bonded, trained technicians with well stocked trucks that provides confidence in the work and materials being done.

He was on time and worked quickly but was thorough. Gave me good advice on caring for the drain and older pipes in my house. Did present information on some packages they offer but I didn't feel pressured. I will say a friend of mine used this company and had a bad experience, but for this service everything went very well for me.

One clog was caused by paint that the painters had spilled in tub and the other by hair from the previous owners dogs. Unclogged the drains in very short period of time and recommended a product to use monthly to keep drains clear.

The visit went well, professional. He notified me of possible concerns with suggestions/recommendations. He wasn't able to identify where the main shut off valve to the house was located...which is one of the main reasons for having my new house inspected...

He came and I explained that the drain in the bathroom was not working. He spent sometime there with a plunger then use a snake. Then, he said that it was not possible and that he need it to do a more extensive work (value $800)

Tammy from customer service was able to schedule John to come out same day on a Saturday. He was actually able to come prior to the arrival window with a courtesy call from Tammy. John was very professional and friendly. He wore shoe covers to protect my carpets and layed plastic when cutting out the drywall. He was very careful to clean up after himself when the job was complete. And the pricing was very affordable. Would definitely call John for any future plumbing needs.

I heard popping sounds from my water heater and read that I might need to flush it. I was very happy with the Benjamin angie's coupon offer and the flush that took place. My water heater no longer makes popping sounds. I asked for an estimate to replace supply lines (we had a line break and flood our kitchen hardwoods in the last 6 months), and repair a toilet with an internal leak. That estimate was $2,700. I later found someone else who did the work for $500 in two hours, which is the reason that I would use that individual again in the future. Overall, Benjamin did nice work for me the day they came out!

They were here maybe 10-15 minutes. They didn't do anything deserving almost $900. They made me write a check right then and there. I've never been expected to write a check right then. I've always been billed. They were entirely too expensive. The work was poor an the leaks are still a problem.

They confirmed that it was just condensation from my AC unit. They did a good job and I was pleased with the service. They are honest and I would use them again.

They scheduled the same day i called and were prompt. Gary was terrific and very personable. He was obviously knowledgeable. When he said replaced the toilet for $733!!! I normally get other quotes, but I had a mess on my hands. I have since got some other prices and realize that this was exorbitant. I am definitely having buyer's remorse. I should have known better. I used them before and after telling me there would be no service charge, the tech told me I needed a new water meter and charged me $119 for a "trip charge" after being here 10 minutes.

Terrible experience. While tech was punctual and a persuasive communicator, we really felt pressured with unprofessional, perhaps even unethical, scare tactics surrounding the water heater replacement (i.e. t/p valve damaged...your water heater is going to explode; extremely dangerous situation, unsafe situation). FYI, we were not experiencing scalding water issues at any faucets which might indicate an overheating issue and water was not pooling from tank or t/p release valve. It just so happened the building manager where one of us works heard the conversation and prompted us to get a second opinion; especially when he heard the prices we were quoted to replace the tank heater or install a tankless system. We asked the tech to only repair the sagging pipe. The tech insisted on turning off our pilot light when we said we were going to get a second opinion on the heater claiming he'd lose his license if he didn't. A family owned company, in business since 1988, came out first thing the next morning. They demonstrated that the T/P valve was in fact not damaged. They did agree it was getting close to the life span of tank but there was no reason it was going to explode. That company replaced tank heater with a top of the line tank at almost half the price quoted by BFP. Make us wonder if BFP techs work on commission.

Really good. The plumber was very nice and funny. He answered a lot of questions we had about other plumbing problems.

The first visit went terribly. The technician was rude, distracted, condescending, and I wasn't sure he knew what he was actually doing. By the end of his very short visit, I was just happy to have him leave. He stated he couldn't flush my water heater because I had a valve on it that was leaking, and it would "flood my house". That's understandable. I certainly didn't want my house flooded. When he left, he gave me a written quote for his company to come back and fix a few minor problems (things he overlooked that I had to specifically point out). However, it blew my mind that there wasn't even a quote to repair my leaky valve on the water heater that could "flood my house"!! I got a standard "how did we do?" email that evening from the company, and I let them know how it went. I also asked if I could get a partial refund since my water heater had not actually been flushed. I didn't expect to hear anything back. But surprise! The manager/owner/operator called me the next day. He apologized for the technicians demeanor, swearing he's typically one of their best, but said he would address the incident with him. He offered me a FULL refund for the services. He also sent a different technician out later that week (a very pleasant one) to replace the valve on my water heater and flush it, free of charge!! I also received a coupon in the mail good towards a future service. He then personally followed up with me after the second technician had come out to make sure that I was happy with the service and felt like I had been treated fairly and respectfully. I really respected the willingness of this company to reach out in such a sincere manner and go the extra mile to ensure that I didn't walk away from their company dissatisfied and without the services I'd originally paid for being completed. I would definitely use this company and would not hesitate to refer to others.

Good. Friendly, knowledgeable. They have a list of costs based on time and service that seems a little high to me, but haven't checked around to see if that's true. I would call them again, knowing what it'll cost to do so. So having a set cost sheet does give you upfront knowledge of what it will cost you for the service.

This is a very dependable company. A cheerful rep named Tammy answered the phone, and Monty the repair guy was here within 1.5 hours. My water heater is in the attic and today's temperatures were sweltering! Monty graciously went up there, diagnosed the problem, and had it fixed with half an hour. I can enthusiastically recommend these folks. Another service company had come over for the same reason three days before and charged $120+ to push the reset button.
