Terrible company that does not stand behind their work. The owner Ken is nothing short of a bald faced liar. I had this company do 2 different commercial jobs and they screwed them both up. One they fixed after we chased them for months and the other they refused to fix even after it became apparent that their crew hadn't cleaned or prepped the walls properly which caused the paint to start flaking off within a month or so of the completion date. Ken was full of hot air and excuses and even tried to blame Sherwin Williams paint for their subpar work. They have been paid in full and yet they still refuse to fix their mistake. Classic example of a company that doesn't desire to be in business.

Excellent experience, Richard and his wife (sorry I can't remember her name) did an excellent job on the painting, they were there promptly and performed cleanup every day. We particularly like the job they did spraying our doors. Jeff followed through and kept us informed every step of the way. Jeff went above and beyond to make sure the staining of our new stairways was perfect, really outstanding service. We have some additional work coming up in the future when we finish up our den and look forward to working with the Ready family again

We chose Painter Ready for our project primarily because of the "A" rating on Angie's List. After a few calls emails to the company, an estimator, Josh, came to the house on October 2, 2017. He was personable and attentive, took measurements of the room, and notes on our specific requirements. We accepted the proposal for the work the very next day, October 3, 2017. We heard NOTHING from the office for over a week, prompting my first call to the office, which was not returned. The time stretched into a MONTH, and I made SIX telephone calls to the office, and two emails, before I finally got a response from the "scheduler" on November 15! On the 16th, we agreed on a four day window for the work to be done, beginning Monday, December 11, beginning at 11 AM, and ending COB on Thursday, December 14, to allow for drywall installation, mudding, sanding, painting and priming. Jeff, from the company, confirmed this on November 17, and again on the 18th, by email. On the day scheduled for beginning the project, no one had shown at the house by 12:30 PM, prompting another email and call to the company, unanswered. Late in the afternoon, a man came to the house, took some notes and measurements, DID NO WORK, and left, saying he needed to get materials and he would be back first thing in the morning the next day. Neither he nor anyone else showed at the house until after 3 PM, effectively wasting two of the four days scheduled for the project, time we had scheduled to be at home and away from our jobs. The man who came, Armando, apologized saying that he had didn't really work for Painter Ready and he was only called by Painter Ready on Sunday night before the project was to start on Monday, November 11. He had not heard of the project or the requirements for the project until Sunday night. Painter Ready had "subbed" our project out to him without the measurements or specifications. He had bought cheap manufactured "wood" molding when we had specified stain grade molding, and tried to convince us to use the poor quality materials he had brought. He finally brought the proper molding, on the third day into the project. When I saw that the workers had wasted the first two days, and worked only minutes to hours of the next two days, I became concerned that the work would not be completed on time. Armando seemed to think that he could continue to "work" on Friday, and even into the following week, despite the agreed on timetable. I contacted Painter Ready, and Jeff sent a condescending email in which he instructed me that I just did not understand that drywall "mud" needed to dry between coats, and this process could not be rushed, despite the little time remaining. Obviously, Armando and his crew did NOT finish the job by close of business on the agreed on time, Thursday, December 14. We rearranged our work schedules to be at home on Monday, December 18, yesterday. The crew did not arrive until 9:30 AM, and by 12:15 when I came home for lunch (my wife having let the crew in at 9:30), they stated they had finished the job, sanding the drywall final coat, applying two coats of paint to the ceiling and a coat of primer to the molding, all in under three hours. Pretty hard to actually believe. When I inspected their work, I noticed a fairly large gap around the ceiling fan mounting escutcheon and the ceiling after the workers reinstalled the fan. I pointed out that this was not acceptable workmanship, at which time the crew informed me that it was because I had the wrong ceiling fan (exactly the same one that they had taken down to install the drywall on the ceiling), or that the "wires were too short" now that the ceiling was less than one inch thicker (but failed to convince me that this had anything to do with the large opening that THEY had left in the drywall that THEY installed). When I said that the hole needed to be patched, Armando stated that no, they "would mud it", and then pronounced the job done DONE in less than 30 minutes. They stated that they had placed drywall mud, two coats, sanded it and painted it with two coats of paint IN UNDER 30 MINUTES . So much for Jeff's statement that these things cannot be rushed; you just KNOW this is a quality job!....NOT. The drywall mud patch is stuck and painted to the ceiling fan escutcheon, so that nether the escutcheon nor the fan can ever be removed or adjusted without cracking the paint and the patch. This is a very poorly done job. This company is NOT professional, but amateur. Perhaps if one wanted worked done on a barn, one could call them, but NOT to work on one's home. They do NOT show up when scheduled, and are unresponsive to attempts at communication. I do NOT recommend Painter Ready, and I would never use this company again.

Everything went as expected. They removed and replaced the roof in two days. They cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. They had the materials and dumpster delivered two days before they started, and once they arrived it was straight to business. The lead installer was very helpful with my requests, and made sure their work didn't disrupt any of my neighbors.

We are totally satisfied with the work performed. It was done on schedule and the quality is excellent. From the onset we found them to be very professional - they arrived as scheduled for the estimate, priced well for the market, and arrived each day for work as scheduled. We'd recommend them to anyone looking to have painting done in the Chattanooga and surrounding area. Thanks much!

The lead, Alisha, and her partner did a wonderful job. Our house is older and has a lot of surface imperfections; they went above and beyond in repairing minor issues in addition to painting. They smoothed out some ridges in our ceiling and tackled lumpy kitchen wallpaper that had been painted over by the previous homeowners. The finished product all around was impressive, and I wish we had the budget to have them paint the entire house! In addition to the painters themselves, every contact I encountered from Painter Ready (Josh, Jeff) was professional and kind. We will definitely use them in the future.

Great - they arrived on time and worked consistently over four days until the project was finished. They produced very little drywall dust and cleaned up after themselves. They communicated well via email and text so I could easily schedule around them. It was painless and the result is very professional. I would definitely use them again.

The last painter had left drips on the floor and other walls. In my last review I said I would never hire the company again. Because of Jeff's attention I will hire The Painter Family again!

The walls look nice but the painter left paint spatters on the floor, and a brush mark of the wrong color on a wall. Also paint splatters on the doorframes. I think the company is good but this painter is not.

The painters were prompt, polite, and professional. They did a great job! We painted the bedroom walls ourselves, and had them do the ceiling. If we had to do it again, we would've had them do the ceiling scraping/painting before we painted the walls - there were a few places that some of the white ceiling paint (or perhaps popcorn dust) got on the freshly painted walls. This was very minor, and we didn't notice it until they were gone.

I did find a couple of cigarette butts in the lawn, but that's far better than having them smoke in the house. Again, an extremely minor issue.

The quality of the repair of the water-damaged ceiling is impeccable - you'd never know the ceiling had been damaged!

This was the second time we've used Painter Ready, and we'd use them again. They aren't the cheapest in town, but they very well may be the best!

Words can not adequately express the terrific Painter Read Team, husband and wife, that painted our home.  They were personable, friendly, punctual, and paid attention to the smallest details while painting.  They insured that the area in which they were working was clean and a barricade was erected to discourage pets and children from walking on the drying paint and stain.

During our project we experienced some rain delays.  This Team never failed to telephone to check on the weather conditions at our house instead of assuming what the weather was doing.  If their schedule was going to be modified, due to weather, they always notified me which I totally appreciated.  They also notified me when they were leaving for lunch and when they had finished for the day.  This courtesy kept me informed and never wondering, 'Where did they go?'

I am so impressed with this team that I will request them for our next painting project performed by Painter Ready of Chattanooga.
