The team arrived exactly when they had said they would. They were very courteous and professional, and they did a good job of painting the wood trim on the exterior of my house. Also, the price was very reasonable.

The crew arrived promptly (often early) and worked diligently. They took a short lunch break then went right back to work. They were courteous and professional; and completed the job in a timely fashion. They left things in order at the end of each day.

Denny contacted us promptly with an estimate. He and his crew showed up on time and completed the job quickly. The work was excellent and they did more than expected The removed old nails and screws in the siding and sanded down for a smooth job. Nice edges where one color met another. Very fair price. They were almost half the estimate of the painters who just completed an addition to our house. So glad we found them on Angies list. His crew was very polite and I felt comfortable with them around my house. We will definitely use them again.

Denny Nackley and his painting crew provided the ultimate in superior workmanship; pride in excellent performance; courtesy and professionalism; and the mission to "do whatever it takes to do the job right." I sensed something was "different" from the beginning. I received an estimate the day after I called for one. Denny had come, walked around the house, sent us a brief email telling us what he'd do and how much it would cost... and that was that. No time wasted in meetings or working up a fancy proposal. Other than the wood repair (which we told him to tally as he went along -- and which came in at a most reasonable cost), the estimated cost for painting/staining was what we paid. Denny gave us an important instruction: to be sure we had samples of our paint colorsn-- especially those that Porter matched from another paint line -- available to him by the first day of the job, so that he'd be certain the paint he would buy would be the exact color we want. As it turned out, Porter had to "tweak" our paint color several times before we had a final version we could confidently hand over to Denny for volume purchase. Since the previous paint job was eight years ago, the exterior was in bad shape: peeling paint, cracks in the wood, rotted areas. The superb preparation started with the most thorough pressure-washing I've ever seen...the decks were down to bare wood, for examples. The crew then scraped all the siding by hand, hauling away bagsful of paint peelings. They caulked windows, puttied cracks in the wood. Then came the most sumptuous primer I've seen: instead of the watery white stuff you usually see, the primer was thick, glossy and olive green. Entire facades received this rich treatment, as needed. As bid, Denny and crew applied two coats of Porter Acri-Shield Exterior Latex paint to the house, and Porter's Deck Stain (we chose semi-transparent). He advised against using a flat finish, explaining that satin would be more durable and cleanable, and that the shiny appearance would fade over time. (We've actually grown to like the shine.) The paint and stain application was by spray, roller and brush. Under the foreman's supervision, each day the crew worked like a "well-oiled machine," keeping track of areas that already had their first coat, allowing for drying time, then applying the second coat. The very dark brown color we used would have magnified any sloppy work; there was absolutely none -- clean edging everywhere. Each of the painters was competent, friendly yet focused on his work, polite and professional. Denny's superior customer service came into play when I requested a somewhat tricky color scheme for window casings; he understood my reason, communicated it to the guys and I got exactly the result I want. Another instance of customer service: when I told Denny the house and deck wood was still wet after an overnight thunderstorm, he obligingly re-called his men and waited to resume work the next dry day. With some embarrassment, I told Denny that I had changed my mind about the color of the front door and front windows...AFTER they had been painted. No disgruntlement, no extra charge -- he accommodated my change of heart with his "whatever it takes" principle. Knowing that the project was in expert hands gave us the confidence to actually enjoy the repainting experience. Our house looks fabulous!

Denny responded quickly to my request for a bid. He is very busy but always on time for appointments. The bid was fair and informative. He and his team arrived on the scheduled date and time and worked very hard to complete the job. They were always professional and made sure that all was done to our satisfaction before leaving. The space was cleaned and neatened when the job was finished. Overall, this was a very good painting team - and nice people.

The owner, Denny Nackley, returned my call promptly and came out the next day to discuss what I wanted him to do and he emailed to me a quote for the project that same day. I accepted the quote and we scheduled a date for the service. We communicated by email several times before the scheduled date of service and Mr. Nackley was always very timely in responding to each inquiry I made to him. He and his workers showed up on time to paint and they worked diligently all day until the project was completed. They were professional and friendly and I am very pleased with the quality of work they did. I had another vendor (cabinets) come out to perform work in the garage after the paint job was completed and this work precipitated the need for touchup to the walls, etc. I contacted Mr. Nackley and asked if he could touch up for me and he was very kind to come out immediately to make repairs and touchup the issues caused by the other vendor. I highly recommend Mr. Nackley and New Improve Paint Remodeling Co.

I was very happy with Denny and the New Improve paint crew. My wife and I had just purchased a new house, and with packing, moving, etc., we waited until the last minute to line up painters. New Improve was able to do our job within two weeks of our initial contact. They worked through the weekend to complete the job on schedule. I was impressed with their punctuality as I had been burned in the past with other companies' lack of dependability for other services. Once on site, they were efficient and asked lots of questions to make sure our needs were met and the job was done right. They were also flexible enough to work around the mess we had in the house as we were in the move-in process. The only thing that could have been better was if they'd finished the job in two days rather than three; they were only on-site for about six hours each day. However, considering they traveled from the Franklin area to northwest Davidson COunty, it probably still was an eight hour day for them. I would definitely contract with New Improve again for painting.

Denny and his crew were at my house on time. They were very professional. It is hard to find good and professional contractors these days. Denny is the real deal! If you are not happy with his work, he will come out and do it the way you want it to be. I definitely would hire Denny and his crew again!

Project took longer than expected and he did attempt to raise the price. His attitude was purely about my satisfaction. Call him for all your interior and exterior painting needs.

Denny Nackley and his crew were everything I had hoped for. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, professional. They were very neat and their attention to detail was impressive. Denny was always on the scene coordinating who did what. He offered some good suggestions which I took him up on. It is obvious why he gets such good reviews. The final price was exactly what he had quoted with the exception of a few minor extras he had offered and I accepted. I had originally thought I would use another contractor on Angie's List, but I was surprised when I received their bid for almost 3 times Denny's bid. Basically they tried to justify the higher price by saying that they just couldn't explain how much better work they do and that I would have to see it. Well let me just say that I am a rather picky person and there is no way they could have done any better work than Denny and his crew did on my house. Trust me, you won't find a better painting contractor in this area than "New Improve Painting and Remodeling"!

Can't say enough about Denny and his crew. He was on time for everything, did a wonderful job and his rates are very competitive. He did a couple extra stuff for me like help me move some furniture. Just a nice guy and very professional!

I would not use him ever again. I just wanted a quote on the work I wanted done. He did not come on time and eventually came during dinner time. It through everything off. Then, the appointment took less than 5 minutes. He did not make me feel like he wanted the business at all and he did not allow me to ask any questions.

We were very happy with the results. He gave us a timely estimate which was reasonable and remained consistent. They actually were able to work us in quickly. Several guys came in, prepared the house and painted over 3 days. We continue to be very pleased with the work that was done. The repair work looks good and the paint job was doing very neatly. We were pleased with the quality of work, the short time it took them to work us in and the minimal disruption during the process. Feel very comfortable recommending them.

Guys did a great job and Denny was there as well. Very professional and punctual and completed everything in one day with 3 guys. And clean up was done very well also. I will be calling him in the next month to paint some other interior rooms in my new house. Great guys that do great work.

Denny was very understanding of the delays caused by my house moving and the wait to see if it was corrected and our mutual scheduling problems. In spite of his very busy schedule, I admired his punctuality. He showed up when he said he would with a full crew and they went right to work. They covered everything well, were very careful when they moved anothing and applied caulking and even removed some over-painted spots on door hardware from previous painters. They also knew not to paint the vinyl on the newly installeld windows (it voids their warranty). Tearing out two large sheets of drywall and replacing them because they had bulged and cracked too many times was no problem for them. Even adding a dryer vent for a portable A/C unit through an outside wall in an upper bonus room and dry-walling around the pipe as it sticks inside the room was as seamless as possible. With my supplied paint on the exterior vent it is almost unnoticeable. He said they should be done in a week and a half and they finished two days early! They even offered to come back and repair anything that was missed after I paid them! I was glad to pay their price. Worth every penny of it rather than taking the lowest bidder. (Been there and regretted that!) I would highly recommend Denny to anyone who wants a professional, quality paint job done right!

My daughters room was pink and was changed to a light yellow and required 2 more coats than quoted. Denny included the extra coats at no charge. I would glady hire him again.
