John & Joan are amazing! They came out Tuesday 6/26 to give us an estimate, instantly liked them. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Could tell they love their job. They said they could come out as soon as Friday, very pleased with the quick response. Looking forward to continuing to do business with them in the future.

They are a very professional company and if I need something they are always there. They are very accurate and helpful. They are good with large yards.

They came out for an interview and looked to see what I wanted done. They had some different ideas than mine and we incorporated both ideas to come up with a plan. A proposal was submitted and then agreed to a start date. They were on time and on budget. Work was done in one day and all of the staff were professional and knowledgeable. JOB WELL DONE!

Joan called me within an hour of my Angie's List inquiry. We set up a walk around date a few days later and could tell they were very enthusiastic about their job. I had to wait about a month to receive the funding to pay for the job and they were ready to go when i did! We set up a date for the work to be completed by passing email on a regular basis to ensure everything was set up for a smooth and successful landscape!

In late February of this year (2012) we decided to purchase a home for retirement in Summerville within the historic district. Having lived in the town in the 80s and 90s we were familiar with how much effort is required to maintain an acre plus lot filled with azaleas, wisteria, and many other plants, trees and shrubs. We knew we would need some help for a few years until we actually retire and move in full time. I joined Angie's list specifically for the purpose of finding the best lawn care service in the area. We immediately noticed the excellent reviews given to Keystone and contacted them for an estimate. They quickly visited the property and developed an estimate for us. We ultimately selected them and planned for the initial cleanup effort to start right after we completed the purchase process. Bottom line--Keystone has met all of my expectations and more. Joan and John are wonderful and take great care to explain what they will do and what they will not be doing for the job and made great recommendations on how to actually do the work. The work was scheduled to start as soon as we closed on the home and after the first day of the planned two day effort we were able to see the immediate impact because Joan posted the before and after photos on Facebook. I highly recommend using Keystone for your lawn care needs. They are honest, professional, show up when promised, and are fair in their fees.

They answered the phone initially, but that's it.

They are punctual. They are willing to do what it takes to fix the lawn. They are knowledgeable. They are coming back out soon.

Work completed within a few days. Came back to complete small area as they said they would.

I called Joan to set up an appointment for an estimate for spring cleanup. Her husband arrived and walked the property with me and we discussed what needed to be done. I received a phone call the next day with an estimate and scheduled a day for them to come and complete the work. They were there early and work was completed appropriately. We scheduled an every two week cut and maintenance thereafter.

From the first time I met them, they have listened to what I have in mind and have also made great suggestions. They have worked within my budget and not tried to sell me more than I can handle at any time. My yard looks great, thanks to them!

Everything went fantastic! They arrived on time and completed the job in a timely fashion. I wasn't able to be at home while the job was preformed, so I couldn't wait to see my "new" backyard. I loved it!! Keystone did a super job arranging the scrubs and I have a beautiful magnolia tree as a focal point. They informed my on the maintenance that is involved caring from my new plants and it seems easy enough. I cant wait for them to start on the front yard!! Thank you Keystone!

I contacted Keystone for an estimate for some pruning and yard cleanup for a rental property we own that we are getting ready to put on the market .They were able to come out the next day for an estimate (they were doing work in the neighborhood) and called me that evening with the quote. We scheduled the work for the next week. . I was in town yesterday when they were doing the work, so I was able to come by the house and meet Joan and John when they were doing the work. I was very impressed w/both of them. They are both very knowledgable and professional I really felt like they were taking a personal interest in how the property looked, not just a mow and blow operation. They took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. They gave some suggestions as to some easy things we could do ourselves to improve the property that wouldn't cost a lot of money. I am planning to contact them right before we list for some last minute curb appeal. I wish we had known them when we were living in the house.

I contacted Keystone, mainly because of their positive reviews here on Angie's List. They came out to my home and walked around the property with me while I described the work I wanted to have done, as well as "dream projects" for the future. All in all, it was a very pleasant meeting and I felt really good about working with them. Joan said she would email an estimate to me either that night or the next day. For the next few days, I kept expecting to get the estimate but none ever showed up. I considered that possibly she had trouble with the email, but of course she also had my phone number and knew where I live. A week went by and I decided to follow up with them. On Jan. 20th, I sent an email to the address given on their website asking about the estimate and whether they were still interested in the jobs we discussed. To date, I still haven't heard anything back. I noticed she's followed up with other customers on Angie's List though, so I can at least rule out too sick to contact me as an explanation. There was no animosity between us when we spoke on the phone to set up the appt or when I met them at my home. I'm baffled why they suddenly decided they didn't want my business after all. Too busy? They're already over-committed? The job is too big an undertaking? They simply enjoy wasting my time? I have no idea because they didn't do me the simple courtesy of responding, much less following through with an actual estimate. The irony of it is that we even laughed about how fly-by-night some of the other companies I'd contacted in the past are and what bad luck I've had with them. I guess the streak continues. So I'm back at square one, looking for a (reliable) landscaper and getting more and more frustrated by the lack of available options. 2/2/12-I received a personal response as well as one on Angie's List from Joan. She was gracious enough to apologize and explain the circumstances of our situation. I respect that very much. Her apology sounded very sincere and I appreciate the effort, so I am chalking this up to a simple misunderstanding that we've now resolved. No harm, no foul.

First let me say you will never find nicer people than Joan and John. They were a joy to deal with. My yard looks likes it should have been on a home show with the "Before" and "After". What a great job they did transforming my overgrown yard to a yard worthy of the cover of a landscaping book. They came and worked their butts off! They listened to what I wanted, helped me re-think things I didn't know, and made suggestions that were just right. They are very knowledgeable about plants and their growth habits. They put new pine straw down and did a great job. If you want people who treat your yard like it's their own John and Joan are the folks to call. They know their stuff!!

After being disappointed twice by another company(not on Angie's list) I gave Keystone a call. They were quick to get back to me and we set up a time to get an estimate. They showed up on time, gave me a reasonable estimate and gave me suggestions for the future. The day of the service they did everything they said they would do and my yard looks fantastic! My husband and I will definitely be calling on Joan and John in the future! Thank you guys!!

I really have no other words for start to finish but exceptional. This couple is very PERSONABLE & PROFESSIONAL. They both kept working until the work was done & asked questions along the way if unsure of something.

Service was excellent. We had just moved into our new construction home and the landscaping was awful. They were able to turn some rough ideas i had for the landscaping and bring it to life. We are very pleased with the work that was done and will definitely be doing business with them again.

They were very accommodating. We were not scheduled, but they filled us in. Very polite. We recommend them.

My experience went very well. At the time I initially contacted Keystone I was in need of some one to care for my lawn weekly while I was out of the state. Joan and John responded to my initial phone call promptly and came by that very same day to look at my yard, listen to my concerns and to give me an estimate. We agreed on a start date and I could count on them to care for my lawn like clock work every week. I was more than happy with their service.

Quick response, fast estimate, easy to work with. Again, the work was done perfectly. Complete clean up afterwards. I did not have to lift a finger!

The first time I met owners Joan and John was when they came to give us an estimate. They appeared very friendly, professional, and serious about what they do. They gave us an estimate for an initial service ($75) and we scheduled the work to be done. On the day of the first maintenance they showed up a little early (to my delight!) and spent 2 hours mowing, edging, and weed whacking, then suggested weedkiller in some small problem areas and did not even charge extra for it. Joan explained grass / lawn issues to me, took me around the yard, and pointed out where she had done what and why (e.g. left grass a little longer in some spots due to yellowing grass underneath etc.) The yard looked fantastic after they left! For their first regular service they arrived early again. They mowed and weedwhacked swiftly, and also entertained and waived to our son every time they passed by the window he was watching from. The yard looked great once again! I feel like they go above and beyond "regular" lawn maintenance. They are personable yet professional, and very reliable. This is the first time that we have someone maintain our lawn and we're very pleased with the services we've received so far. We were looking for "reliable", "professional", "resonable", "thorough", "someone we could trust", ("friendly and personable" a plus) - and we found, John and Joan at Keystone!
