Matt's Painting & Pressure Washing Service is a local guy. I say whatever you do, do not get this guy. He comes on very professional, he comes out, he bids the job. He seems to be very trustworthy. He was recommended by a friend of mine whose a contractor who worked with me. He came on the job. He said that he'll have it done in four days. That was four months. I had to call him back all the time. I had a sick mother-in-law. And I was in the middle of this paint job, I could not leave to go down and take care of her. He never came when he said he did. He didn't give us a receipt. The problem was my husband paid him before he finished. He said I'm going to be finished the next day. The second day after he started the painting job, he wanted more money straight away. More money for materials, more money for this, more money for that. My husband would give it to him and I said no, because you gave us an estimate. Nobody twisted your arm. We didn't even have any other estimates because he came highly recommended to us. He used guys who didn't speak English. They were not supervised. They got up on the roof with putting one ladder on top of something and somebody else holding it. And they did not do safe work. It took forever to finish. The material that they used was not satisfactory. They had to come back for what was supposed to be lifetime guaranteed. It never dried. Bugs got into a lot of it after they've painted it. And a lot of these bugs are stuck on there. I have a 14 foot off the ground house and it's two storeys up from there. They painted the whole outside of the house. I guess it's OK, but it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in my whole entire life of anybody doing any kind of work for me. And if I could stop anybody from using them, I would be glad to. I even told his brother-in-law who was working on the job that Angies List called us a few weeks ago - this was when they were doing the job - and I told them to call back so we could tell them what kink of work he did. But I don't think they care. There are two contractors that he worked for, and I had to call the one who is a big contractor - I had to call him to ask him if he would speak to this guy about coming back to finish the job. Because I had a porch that had to be screened in after they painted it, and I was replacing all the ( inaudible 10:51:4) deck. And I couldn't get the work done. My whole house outside was torn up. And on one day he would have to paint the inside doors of my house. We had to unlock them and my husband had a doctors appointment, and I was going with him. And he said he'll be there with the guys. And as soon as we left, apparently he left. So here's our house open to people that we didn't know. Somebody used an American Express card of ours and we don't know if it's in my husband's dress room. It was still there, I don't think they stole anything, and I don't know if it was these guys. But it was right in the same period that somebody used our American Express number. It was a very terrible experience. And the guy - we live out on a small island in South Carolina - and this guy lives down the road. So I'm sure if he read the review he would know it's me, but if anybody ask for a recommendation about this guy, I would try my best to steer anybody away from him. It was a horrible experience. One funny thing was, when he came to did the job, he live on a street with a gate, but the gate is not closed during the day. He always parked outside of the entrance, he didn't come into our street or into our driveway. His men sometimes did. One day, I told him that they would have to wash the bugs off. He sent one man - he dropped him off with a bucket and a rag. Now my roof is probably 60 feet up in the air.Before they've painted it, they pressure washed it and did a very good job. In fact, he told me after I've had so much trouble, that he was going to do three free pressure washes, which I know he isn't going to do. He is never going to come back here, because he won't drop off a receipt for guarantee of the paint. When you talk to him you think he is such a nice guy and if you call him and ask him anything, he goes oh sure I'll be right on it. I called him and he'd been missing in action for a week or 10 days. I think if he came with his men and stayed here with them, and worked with them, it would have been fine. I think he knows what he's doing, because he came one day and did some work. It was the best work that they did and he was here. But it was only one day out of probably 30. I'm not paying somebody to supervise. For the job that they were supposed to do, it was a good price. But for the job that they did, it's two different things.
