12 years ago I contacted Richard to rebuild a window frame that was rotting at the bottom. I'll admit freely that at that time he and his team did a good job that lasted until a several months ago when I looked into replacing or repairing the same window. After going through a few replacement companies with little result, I contacted him again. He came out, gave me two prices for replacement and repair and, at his assurance that the repair would last for at least a few years, chose that option. That's when the problems arose. It took weeks to get him to schedule an actual time with me having to constantly call him and remind him. At one point, I actually had to contact the office manager who I think is his wife who intervened. Once the crew came out, they were very nice and professional and when they allowed us to check it everything seemed fine. A few weeks later, though, in looking at the bottom of the frame there were parts coming off, sections that you could push like a sponge, and it was obvious that the job was not fully done. When I planned to call Richard, since I had asked him to call me about scheduling other work on painting and pressure washing, he call me and I told him about the problem. That was a Friday and he said he was driving and couldn't write it down but would try to call me the next week. He even said if he didn't to remind him. He didn't and I called to remind him at the end of the week. There was no response. After waiting into the next week, I called his office and left a message with the nice lady there, and no response. I then left a message on his website to which his wife responded saying she would have him call. He didn't. Finally, given my work schedule I asked my wife to try to follow up with calls and message to which his wife again responded. Richard called and after giving a lot of misleading information to her assured her he was on the way to look at it. That was a couple of days ago and no response. To those looking for this type of help, he and his company are capable but he is difficult to communicate with and it seems if there is any problem, he disappears. I will not do business with him again and advise others to do the same. His employees seem to be great, he himself is just not reliable. I give him credit for the first repair from a decade ago, but this experience shows he's not the same person I did business with in the past.

Overall, I was pleased. Richard was professional and knowledgeable, as was the supervisor of his work crew. They arrived when promised and did a good job. The supervisor kept me informed about any problem areas, such as the black mulch stains that he was unable to remove from my porch railings without risk of damaging the paint. He also had me inspect and approve their work before leaving. The gutters, siding, & porches were cleaned to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, they were unable to paint a doorframe they repaired for me because it was misting rain all day. I was promised they would be back to paint it as soon as the weather permitted, but several weeks later I had to call Richard to remind him that they had never finished the job. He was very apologetic and admitted that they had forgotten.. After our conversation, he did send a crew out and the doorframe was painted to my satisfaction. So I wasn't happy about the miscommunication that led to them having to be reminded to finish the job, but in the end all was good.

Richard's crew came in at 0830 and were done by 2:30PM. Thye didi a great job.
