They are not a good company. The three to five day clean up wound up taking weeks instead of days, they left the air blowers to my house for painters that I have statements from too long and the wood dried out and the paint would not stick and it fell off and it cost me twice as much as it should have for the paint job because he had to scrap everything off and repaint officially baseboards and a quarter round, which I have photos of and a video. We were out of the home because of the whole house being done which started out as some damage in the bedroom and the hall because of burst water pipes but upon their investigating along and along instead of telling me at once it's going to take longer than we thought it was getting calls or emails saying, 'Well, we found more and we're going to have to do this.' They were very unprofessional, they hired unqualified people, I went into the house because they had total control of the house and I left them with house key and most of our things in the house. We did rent a pod and put some things in the pod that we thought might be damaged through the heat and they assured me there would be no damage to anything which there was. I threw away probably thousands of dollars worth of home belongings that the picture frames were lost photos, you can't replace photos that stuck together in albums and old photos of the people that were not here any longer that you value. They were careless I think in their job. I could just ramble on and on and I was extremely upset about the loss that we had happened. I went into the house one day to check and upon entering the house and pushing the door to open it, I always checked before I went in, it was open and I didn't have to use the lock or anything to open it. My front door was unlocked, so I locked it. I reported that their PRO and of course they had a million excuses, no it wasn't them. 'Well, you had possession of my home. My home was your responsibility during that time.' Also my window was opened and left open overnight, I did not know why and there was no explanation and of course there was denial on their part. I will just tell anyone not to use them. They also ripped all the carpets and flooring out of the house, their slab because the house was built on slab so the dryer pan should have not taken as long as it did drying out slab, my furniture was not properly covered and I also had photos and videos of that with the plastic flapping rather than being secured. Everything was dirty and dusty underneath and my furniture so when we moved we had to purchased new furniture because I couldn't bring anything that was not good with me. They went in there with total disregard to my personal things, my personal belonging and my home. Basically it looked as though my home I had a tornado go through it. The clean up people that they hired that went in there that had three or four ladies were cleaning up and I watched them pick up a cloth that I had left by the sink to wipe off the counter in case anything got on it immaculately cleaned because it was getting ready to go on the market. It had already been appraised, it was getting ready to be listed, painted everything to put on the market rate. When I got it took me three months to straighten the house back up to put that house back on market again, so three months lots of money. So they delayed the sale of my home with that. They ladies were there and I watched them and they were nasty, they took the cloths they had cleaning up the toilets, rinsing it up and then using the same cloths to wipe vanity and other things in the kitchen and even wiping up the refrigerator with that cloth that had been in the toilet and I just walked out because I would have really exploded and I didn't need to explode because I was ill. I would not recommend them and I would kill myself before I would let them do it.
Description of Work: I have used ServPro and it was a one-time service to clean up and repair.

First I met with there foreman thinking it would be like servicemaster after all it is on your recommendation that I chose them from your list. they were to paint and do all the inside work. The first thing they did was to have an immigrant paint the entire inside of the house in the dark. I watched in horror as this little man sprayed from a gas generator from top to bottom and then repeat the process. There are so many runs on the walls I could have a track meet on them. I asked the foreman to redo it and his answer was we only were paid to do two coats of paint. Even when I showed him the track of streaks on all of the walls. they would not fix it. they did the same thing to eleven doors with the same result. After that they would show up 4days a wk then three then nothing. They put unfinished cupboards in the kitchen(no shelves) then white washed them like they looked in the 1950s.Every single thing they did broke, fell apart and totally destroyed my house inside .The foreman did not even lock the house. So whatever tools and equipment I had in the garage was stolen. I had to borrow money and use escrow. I had to use the money I was supposte to replace my possesions with to fix the house on my own. It is just a shame that they stopped running people out of town because this company and their business practices are illegal and they are still waiting out there for you! Never even called except to get money from state farm. They never even finished painting the cupboards. It did not matter much though because they fell apart as well as all the mounted items that were put up. All ended up on the floor. Then because state farm did not pay them they expected me to on dissability. State Farm was responsible for paying them(I paid a high insurance premiums for this purpose.) They put a mechanics lien on the house for $16,000 dollars. I was not the one responsible to pay them. I was the one who became the person to get the house put back together after it all fell apart. I am disabled and homebound .I still had to find people to work on the house. Not from your resources. None of your contractors would take the job.It- was so bad. Very few would even return my calls. It was hard enough losing everything you owned due to the fire. Now I cannot even replace any of it . Are there no laws to protect us from predators? I was a single parent and drove an 18 wheeler unloading 2 trailers a day for 30 yrs and never got treated so badly. I never asked for help before I became disabled. To end up like this is a tragedy. This broke my HEART after working so hard my whole life. The house is still not finished. Running out of money! I have just a bed and a chair in my house. I give them f-minus run if you see them coming. Still to this date they have not taken any responsibility for destroying the inside my house. did you do this to me because I am disabled and unable to fight back is there no help out there????? lori m. broadwell
Description of Work: they were hired to restore the inside of my house after a fire. the structural was already done by someone who was capable of doing it. servicemaster. they did a wonderful job but we disagreed on how the inside of the house was going to be done. their on your list you recommend these people to consider using there services. this website should be shut down. you should not be able to profit by offering up your customers up for the slaughter.
