The move went well.

They were excellent both times.

Everything was super!

Overall, everything worked out all right and my possessions arrived undamaged at my new home. Initially, I spoke at length on the phone with the man I thought was the owner, and then I spoke to other female employees two times after that to confirm the details of my moving needs. Everyone was very pleasant on the phone, agreeing to adhere to the exact timing I required on moving day, giving me pricing information and telling me that their men could pack as well as move all items. I should have insisted upon a written contract - which was not offered prior to the arrival of the movers - with all details specified in writing, because on moving day, the men did not arrive at the required time and there were additional charges which I had specifically been told in my initial conversation would not be incurred. It turned out that the man I first spoke with was a new employee in training and he provided me with several pieces of misinformation, including pricing inaccuracies (he told me there would be no additional charge to move my refrigerator or for a two-story home; there were, in fact, extra charges for both). The men did pack the four extra boxes of kitchen items, but they were exceedingly slow in doing so (taking over an hour). Since fees are charged by the hour, I would definitely recommend packing everything yourself. Ultimately, the owner adjusted the fees to keep them in line with my expectations and I was satisfied with the services performed.

This was our 4th move in 5 years so we have had a lot of experience with different moving companies, both local and long distance. This move with Johnson's was the best. They moved us from Isle of Palms, SC to Mt Pleasant, SC (about 8 miles). We packed everything in boxes and they came and wrapped all the furniture. Also moved our grandfather clock and baby grand piano. We opted to pay for 2 trucks and 4 men in order to get the moved done in one day. The crew was awesome. They took great care with all our belongings and made sure to put everything (including all the boxes) exactly where we wanted them, even in the third floor attic. I would highly recommend this company and would definitely use them in the future.

I was trying to decide who to use and couldn't decide on a moving date and anytime I called with a question the owner would immediatley return my call. In the end there was a Groupon that I thought I could use but it wasn't available until June and ultimately I waited too long to book and they were not available..MY BAD as Richard was a very good deal and very professional so I had to go to Plan B which worked out just fine also.

My kids had a big wooden fort in back yard and they moved it and reassembled it. They were so pleasant after 5 hours of moving.

I hired Johnson's Moving for a local in town move. The price was competitive with others but the perosn I talked with for an estimate was more engaged. One company I called made me feel like I had interupted something and the person I spoke with seems unconcerned with what I needed. Richard at Johnson's asked questions to detrmine what i had to move how to best manage it. The crew arrived on time. They were clean and friendly and efficiently went about their business. They started at 9:00AM and by 3:30 PM they had moved us out if a 2 bedroom apartment, into a house including going to our 14x10 stirage unit and picked up those items moving stored furniture into the house and placing boxes in the garage as instructed.
