They were prompt at picking up. Then I didnt hear from them for 3 weeks. They called finally and said the appliance was non- repairable. They then sent me a bill for 2 hours labor (at 84$ per hour )and a 35$ fee for picking up the device. I question the bill as being excesssive. They stood by their 2 hour claim and refused to adjust the bill. In fact, they claimed it took longer than the billed 2 hours to figure out the refrigerant line had a non-repairable leak. So, at this point I have to ask, are they so new in the industry and untrained about this type appliance that they really dont know what they are doing. *This is a small appliance and I really can't and don't believe it could have taken 2 hours to discover it had a non-repairable leak. The process is to basically put a pressure monitor on the empty line and see if it will hold pressure over a period of time- like 5 minutes or so. *200$ is almost 1/2 the cost of this appliance new. After 30 minutes of searching they should have called and informed me of the difficulty they were having and informed me that going further was going to run up quite a bit. Instead they pursued with out our permission and ranup a 200$ bill. * I basically dont want to see others get taken advantage of and receive an excessive bill like this on such a small appliance. A responsible company would take into consideration of a limit on what the client may reasonably want to spend. They were in the position to call and notify me as the consumer that it was running up to an excessive amount and request permission to continue on my tab. Of course who knows how much they would have charge for that phone call and how many hours that would have added to my bill.
