-Step 1: Doors and drawer facings taken off and cabinets sanded and primed. No problems yet.
-Step 2: Cabinets painted. One coat on parts and two coats on parts. We had to stay on the workers to ensure two coats got applied everywhere. Workers seemed to care more about talking on the phone than working.
-Step 3: Doors came back...well, most of the doors. The doors we wanted glass in didn't come back at this time. I noticed right away that the doors had pealed paint and scuffs with a few bare spots. How does this happen? This totally overshadowed the fact that the paint really did look good on the doors.
-Step 4: Reattach the doors and drawer facings. MAJOR FAILURE I was working upstairs on my laptop and I kept hearing the worker's drill clutch engage(for those who don't know what this is...it is like pushing the clutch in on a car to disengage the torque of the drill because of too much pressure) A drill clutch should really never engage when screwing doors back into pre-drilled holes. I came down and looked in a hurry, but couldn't tell that anything was wrong. I had to rush back upstairs for work because there was an emergency. The workers left that night. I noticed that all 7 drawer facings were reattached upside down and not centered at all. Well, when you put those on upside down, the holes won't line up. The worker didn't seem to care that there were 4 loose screws left in each drawer. He just forced a couple of screws into the facings to hold them on...creating new holes. Every cabinet door was severely misaligned. I even had two door fall off the cabinet when I opened them. I spent 4 hours fixing all of that. We had an under kitchen sink drawer that opened at a 45 degree angle....well, it got screwed shut. The door shelves never got reattached either.
-Step 5: This step really should be step 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5. We continually called, left messages, and texted the owner through the whole process without a single returned call or text. He would occasionally send us a text when he needed something.
-Step 6: After about a month, we got the glass panel doors in. I had a talk about all of the work I had to do to fix the horrible job of attaching the drawers and cabinet doors. The owner spent 3.5 hours trying to fix a couple, but it just wasn't working. I told him to just stop and put my glass doors up. The whole rest of the day went to those 4 doors. I made sure to sit and watch the whole day. Again, we had to get them to touch up all kinds of spots.
-Step 7: Payment - I really do hate to pay full price for something that was not overall quality work. I even had to spend 4 hours of my time to fix bad work. I had to work from home or take vacation for several days because they couldn't seem to schedule properly. They were always on the phone with other customers promising them that they'd be there as soon as the could while trying to work on our cabinets. They'd go to lunch for 3 hours(probably to go work at another house). We paid the full amount because we signed a contract. We wrote a letter to the owner stating that he should have given us a discounted price for the whole debacle. We heard nothing as expected.
In conclusion: We were not happy with this company. Yes, the paint looks good now(due to our diligence in getting them to touch up spots throughout the whole process). We have 39 "leftover" screws. You should never have leftover screws to a job where you take something apart and put it back together. Doors are still crooked, but I am adjusting a few at a time. I would never consider using this company again.
David and his crew were OUTSTANDING. First day moved and covered all furniture, had to prime all trim in den, went from dark stain to WHITE! Completed Den on day 2, moved on to other 3 rooms. Finished trim and doors and got first coat of color on day 2. day 3 completed job, cleaned up moved furniture back and we inspected. Chris and JJ were AWESOME , 3 coats of paint in the den due to change in color, 2 on everything else. We could not have asked for more. We have 4 more rooms that need painting and I will not use anyone else than A PERFECTIONIST TOUCH LLC to do the job!!! If we could give a higher rating than an and quot;Aand quot; they would get it, JOB WELL DONE, Thanks David, Chris, and JJ.
The men were on time with all of the needed equipment.
They worked diligently and effectively.
The job included two coats of paint which they brought to the job.
I am very satisfied with the finished job and somewhat amazed that all was completed in one day.
