I have been taking my vehicles to ARE for the past 8 years or so. It's a small, two-bay operation. The owner, Ken King, is a legitimate, honest, Christian mechanic who knows his stuff about cars. He may not be the cheapest around, but definitely not the most expensive (you pay for what you get). I like taking my vehicles consistently to an honest mechanic so that they can keep an eye on things and watch for developing issues. On this particular visit, I brought in my Grand Caravan to have the cooling system looked at--it had been smelling like coolant was burning off somewhere. I also needed an oil change and tire rotation. They found the issue and called me about it. It may have been related to when they replaced the valve cover gaskets on this vehicle the year before. So they fixed the leak at no charge (plus not charging for the cooling system test). Not once have I ever had to haggle or negotiate something. When you're dealing with someone thinks keeping their word and being honest and helpful is important, you have a lot less problems. I highly recommend using ARE. Just call ahead of time to find out how busy they are. Being a smaller operation, you may need to wait a few days depending on the issue you have.

As usual, my appointment went well. Ken changed the oil and did a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle. He replaced the spark plugs. This was a small job, but I have felt equally comfortable with his work when more complicated and expensive work was required.

I was not in a hurry for the vehicle since i have a spare so I told Ken to work on it as he had time. It took two weeks but everything was fixed and I am very satisfied.

I would use them in the future.He is more expensive than some of the other people in the area. I observed the owner. He is very meticulous and he does not sell anything you don't need. I rather pay somebody some more money for a quality job.

I just bought a new car, so I haven't been in there in a while. They service all my vehicles that are not under warranty. They are very honest and trustworthy.
