Will use them again & highly recommend them

Based on their business practices and quality of work I do not recommend hiring Live Oak Services. They gave me an estimate of $4,500 to install a 16’x24’ brick paver patio with fire pit. When they started work they measured a 14’x20’ area. Their reasoning for the smaller area, “The material price quoted would only cover this area. If I wanted 16’X24’ it would cost an additional $800.” That should have been my warning to stop but I didn’t. I paid the additional $800. The quality of work was poor at best. I have since hired another landscaper to complete their work.

I attempted to get several other services to at least respond to an inquiry. Calling Live Oak was when I was concerned I might not get anyone to do the job. I contracted a fabulous price for the work. I wasn't sure if they meant the price they quoted but turns out they did. The guys showed up and got right to work. The cutter dropped branches and sections of the very tall tree right at the tree base. They cut and removed all sections and quickly cleaned up the debris. They returned to grind two stumps and did that fast. Again, they cleaned up after they were done. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I will be using them again for a future project.

Very prompt. We also had them install sod over area we had filled in a pool. Once they are able to get to it (afternoon rain showers caused a delay ), it was done in great time.

Project was contracted mid-May to grade front yard, place topsoil and install irrigation system. This was done one month later, but the area exceeded what was discussed. Poor communication between Tonya and installer. Sod installation was a part of this contract When 5 pallets of sod finally came it was about 3 pallets short. The delay in getting remaining sod down caused large weed growth. After hearing many excuses for lack of finishing sod job, I terminated her services and had to hire another yardman in August to complete the remaining areas. The timer for the irrigation system was set initially, but the backup battery never activated, so when it became unplugged accidentally the whole timer went blank. Repeated requests for help were unaswered for 3 weeks, and then I was scolded for requesting help, was told it was now my responsibility. Both my husband and I were unable to set the timer correctly, resulting in overwatering. 5 pieces of dying sod were photoed and shown to Tonya, with no offer to replace. I hope nobody else has to suffer the unprofessional work of this team.

Value for the money is exceptional. They were able to respond within just a few days. Tanya conducted customer service through text messaging and was very polite. The men on the team worked hard and quickly without compromising safety. They dropped each section of tree within feet of the tree they were cutting without endangering nearby gardens. They cleaned as they went along and did a final cleanup at the end. These guys make a great team. Good job.

Addressed our tree removal issues immediately. Very courteous and professional company. Cut, removed, ground up stumps of five large trees, and cleaned up entire area in no time.
