Garage Door Guru

I called late Friday hoping someone could come out on Saturday. Paul said not a problem and called prior to arriving on Saturday. He quickly assessed the repairs, gave me what I would say was a very fair price and performed the work in about 30 minutes. He then showed me how to perform some routine maintenance on the door going forward. I would highly recommend using Paul and will be certain to tell my friends and family of the great work and professionalism.

Sent email through Angie's List to schedule appointment...was really impressed at the prompt response I received to Schedule it for the next afternoon. It was to be done between 1-4 well I called to give them my address and the person said Paul was tied up and he was unaware of the appointment and there was no way he could get to me today..this is after I waited all day to have service. He did offer to come tomorrow but again not until the afternoon and after the mix up today I just could not afford to wait around and waste another day waiting. Plus the fact that they didn't even call to say they couldn't get to me after making me wait all day was the kicker to this. I could understand the mix up but at least have the courtesy to call and say they couldn't make it.... Very.....Very disappointed.

From the initial contact through the purchase and installation of a new garage door, Garage Door Guru was prompt, responsive, and very efficient. The entire experience was incredibly easy and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of garage door related services.

I had the most amazing service provided! I called Garage Door Guru today, Sunday, July 5th because my garage door was broken and my car was inside. I explained that I needed my car out today because I had to drive my son to his cancer treatments in the morning. He agreed to come out between 4 and 7. He showed up exactly as he said he would and took at look at the problem with the door. He noticed that the other door was broken as well! He offered to fix them both today and gave me a discount for both. That was a huge help. I had noticed on his webpage that his company supports Cookies for Kids, a group that raises money for children with cancer. I wanted to let him know that I had seen it and thought that was great! I shared with him that my son, who was standing there with me and is 24, has brain cancer. We spoke for a few minutes and he got to work. In addition to doing excellent work and explaining everything to me, when he finished he declined payment. I was so blessed by his generosity and caring. And so glad to have Angie's List to help me find the best! What a happy day!

Answered phone immediately , set up for the next day and even called to see if it was ok if they came earlier. My garage door was broke so bad it would not open and even had a dangerous tension bar ( spring ) . PJ came and dismantled the the door and even made sure I stepped out of the way .. He covered the motorcycles to be sure they were save since we could not get them out. He then left and said Patrick would be coming. I had to go meet my sister but my bf was here and PJ even called me to let me know when Patrick was on the way. It was quickly taken care of. Both were polite and honest and even cleaned all up .. ( fingerprints on door etc ) ... We got the better door that was insulated and well worth it as our garage is noticeably cooler . I highly recommend this company to anyone needing a new door or even just a " Garage Doctor " ... They most definitely are GURUS !! Even have a 3 year warranty !! Great company and Great Guys ! Spent 300 only to have to have much of work repeated by another provider.

The service was excellent. We sent a note through Angie's List before we went to bed, and we received a call at 8:00 the next morning. He was here by 9:00, and complete by 10:30. Very prompt, very courteous, and a fair price. Fantastic! I could not be more pleased.

Much lower the other quote I received, did the job quickly and reminded me I was due a discount when I told them I found them on angie's list

My garage door was acting out, I got an appointment super fast, they found the problem and solved it in no time. My sensor was the culprit, got it changed for 165$ and my door is working again perfectly fine!

I submitted my request for them to contact me, and within 30 minutes I received a call...and within another 30 minutes they were at my door. They identified the issue, gave me a quote including 2 years parts and labor, honored the Angie's List coupon, and had the work done within 30 minutes. Was a wonderful experience start to finish!

Emergency repair. Scheduling was easy . The technician arrived on time and diagnosed the problem. The technician quoted the price for the work. The repair was finished quickly as the needed parts were in the company truck. No muss -- no fuss. The technician was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We are repeat customers ---- and will be so again.

Did a good job. I'm happy with those guys. The price is very reasonable and they were pretty prompt and punctual.

He got here very quickly, installed new springs and made adjustments on the door that got it fixed.

Our garage door stopped working on a Sunday afternoon. I used this vendor in the past, saw they were still well rated in Angie's List, and contacted them through this site. Although it was Sunday, I received a reply email quickly offering time options. I asked for the next afternoon. The service guy, Mark, arrived a little early, performed tests, then took the time to clearly explain various options. He converted our Wayne Dalton parts to conventional torsion spring, pulleys, cables, .... We understand this will solve our immediate problem, and will likely allow easier/cheaper repair/replacement in the future. Mark was efficient, competent, and not bothered by questions. The repairs took a little over an hour, followed by a review of what he'd done. I only gave a 4 on price, but honestly don't have any competitive quotes to compare to (I understand I'm pretty cheap, so the cost is, most likely, very competitive). I was impressed that Mark reminded me that there was a coupon available through Angie's List, which I used. I'm very pleased with my overall experience, and would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

Could not have gone better! They arrived very quickly; within 2 hours of my call! Serviced the door; now it works great! The technician even asked if we used Angie's list and gave us a $15.00 discount. I can't think of any way this could have gone better. Highly Recommended!

My garage door did not go up on 1/20/2015 and we called Garage Guru after 9:00 pm that evening and the service representative said they would have someone out there the next day between 12:00-3:00 pm. Well my car was stuck in the garage and I had errands to run. So I called Garage Guru at 8:00 am on 1/21/2015 and explained the situation and the service representative said he would get someone out there in a couple of hours earlier than 12:00. Well I had no idea that the service guy would be coming so quickly. I called at 8:00 and the service tech was ringing my doorbell at 9:30. When the service tech looked at the issue he said the door was too heavy for him to lift alone so he immediately call for someone to help. He said it would be about 18 minutes for him to get there. Well I think it was about 10 minutes because the next tech was walking into my home. They worked very quickly to get the job done. I was very pleased with the service and how quickly the work was done.

The work was fine. He left the area fine. It only took him a day or so to come out. I would recommend them to friend.

Garage Door Guru had Mark come out about 2 hours later, him tighten and locked the belt in place. Mark fixed the problem within 10 minutes of his service call. No charge for the service call since his company installed the garage door opener in June 2014.

Changed rollers and oiled/greased all parts

My garage door wouldn't open and I was stranded in my house. I called Garage Door Guru and they sent a technician to my home 20 minutes later. TJ was very polite and professional and replaced 2 springs in about 30 minutes. Very positive experience that exceeded my expectations.

Our garage door spring broke and I called late in the evening to schedule an appointment for the next day. To my suprise they were able to send their service tech out after 7pm, very curtoeus and professional service call. Mark (tech) came out to provide the repair estimate, and unfortunatley the repair cost for just the springs was more than 45% of a brand new low end uninsulated door. Since I intended to replace the door in the future with an insulated one, Mark took the time to walk me through their product offerings. He was extremely professional and curteous with great advice. Given my budget and insulation requirement I went with a different door installer but my experience with Mark and the Garage Door Guru was extremely positive. I highly recommend them for future service.
