I had a cleaning service that was doing a fairly good job but I was really not happy with their service. I wanted to find someone who would do a really good job. Based on their reviews, I thought I would give Precision Clean a try. Their initial cleaning service had a range 0f $240.00 to $290.00. They said the amount they would charge would be based on the amount of time required to do initial cleaning. They were here about 2 hrs 45 mins and charged $280. The continuing bi-weekly charge was going to be $185.00. I’m not sure how they could do a thorough job on a continuing basis in less than 3 hrs. My current service spends about 3 ½ to 4 hrs. Precision did a fairly good job. Dusted the tops of furniture but not the face or sides. Dusted one ceiling fan but not the others. Did not dust baseboards. I ask if all of this was included in the normal service and was assured me that it was. The cleaning solution used on kitchen counter tops left a film on everything. The glass top stove smoked when turned on but not enough to set off fire alarm. Could tell the spots on the floor that were missed because the film wasn’t there. I turned the kitchen chairs upside down on the table and island bar to allow easier access to vacuum and mop floor. I assumed they would put the back on the floor when floor was complete but they didn’t. The table and counter were not cleaned where the chairs were. They wiped around them. Yes, my wife did a walk around with them, accepted their work and I signed the acceptance sheet. Nor did I call within 24 hrs to ask for a return visit. But I would rather have a service that I can trust to do a good job from the outset and not have to be an inspector every time. And what about those times when we can’t be here to inspect. I graded them down on the cost of their service. Precision did a fairly good job and their associates were extremely nice but I know of at least one other service that does the same quality work for a lot less money. I graded them down on Punctuality because they were a half hour late for their appointment. One member of the crew was 45 mins late. The reason: The name of street I live on is the same as the name of a street in a nearby town. When I received the confirmation of my appointment, I saw that they had the address correct but the town was wrong. Not mine but the nearby town instead. I called to point out the error and was told not to worry about it. They told me that their computer defaults to the nearby town and I was assured that their associates knew where to go. On the day of the appointment their associates went to the wrong town. This goes to attention to detail and professionalism which I felt was somewhat lacking with the whole experience.
