We loved our experience there and we will certainly go back! We recently relocated here and one of my children became ill prior to us getting established with a pediatrician. This practice got us in for an appointment the same day I called. The office staff was friendly, the location was great (they have 3 locations), the waiting room was clean and comfortable. They saw us right on time and the medical assistant was great. I LOVED that she washed her hands prior to taking my child's vitals. When the doctor came in she washed her hands as well as swabbed off her stethoscope with alcohol! many doctor's don't take the time to do this even though they can spread germs by failing to swab their stethoscope. I really appreciate them being clean and cautious. Their respect for their patient's health really impressed me. I LOVED the doctor we saw (Dr. Diethrich)! I will absolutely use her for our children's primary care physician. She is smart, punctual, professional and really personable. I trust her completely to care for my kids. I feel like she really took the time to listen to our concerns and really consider all the issues prior to making a decision regarding her care. I truly can't say enough great things about her and this practice. The only thing I didn't like was that the office staff wanted our social security numbers (at least the primary on the insurance) and although this is common practice in the Charleston area, it is not common on a national level. In fact, in the state we came from it was illegal for them to even request your ss number due to identity protection laws. I'm not sure why requesting social security numbers is still common here but I LOVED that they were willing to re-visit the issue and consider other options. I can't say enough great things about this practice and I feel so blessed we found this Dr. Diethrich and this practice!

We go to Sweetgrass often. Their office location is convenient. Their staff is friendly. We see Dr. Kelly Rodgers and Dr. Benjamin "Benjie" Rodgers; they do pediatric sports medicine and orthopedics. We chose them because of the pediatricians that work there. We have had of a long relationship with them. That is how we chose their office. You can get in and out pretty quickly. Their staff is nice.

We have seen Dr. Rodgers primarily for well-care visits, although we have had one "suspicious poop" visit. She is extremely personable and seems very well-versed on current medical practices/recommendations. My very favorite thing about her is that she breast-fed her children (at least past six months) and when our infant had not regained his birth weight by two weeks, she DID NOT do what many pediatricians would have done, which is immediately suggest supplementing. Instead, she reassured us and scheduled another appointment for a weigh-in at three weeks (at which point he was gaining just fine). She is practical while still giving good medical advice - she listens, evaluates, and offers suggestions and medical advice, but is not at all pushy. She has an extremely good "bedside manner", both with us as parents as well as with our son. When we were concerned that perhaps dark spots in the diaper were blood, she immediately ordered a test that was performed in the office and had the results in a matter of minutes. Her advice tends to closely align with the recommendations of the AAP. For example, she was not in favor of our co-sleeping arrangement, but her advice was given in a very professional, caring manner. I also appreciate the fact that she never gives advice to "CIO" for sleep training, and sticks to "medical advice" unless we ask otherwise. The office staff is always friendly, and the medical assistants seem competent. The back office and scheduling staff are also friendly and competent. We are generally seen within 15 minutes of the scheduled appointment time. The total visit time generally runs about 1 - 1.5 hours, mainly due to the wait once in the examination room and the fact that she takes as much time with each patient as is necessary to thoroughly answer questions. The outside billing company took six months to get our account set up in the system so that we could make our co-payments, which resulted in quite a high bill once co-payments were billed, but the office staff explained the problem to us on our initial visit and we were aware that it would be a large bill once the outside billing company did their part. I would highly recommend Dr. Rodgers to anyone looking for a pediatrician.
