I purchased a coupon from Amazon local to paint two 15X15 rooms for $169. It was very clear on the offer that it was for one coat of paint and not any trim.
I called to schedule after I purchased voucher. David answered immediately and we discussed my needs. I was open about probably needing two coats of paint and wanting all the trim done. I was also open that one room was a sunroom with 3/4 windows so there is a lot of trim. We agreed to determine the price for the extra work when they arrived.
They could have done the service in two days but I was not available until two weeks. We scheduled it and he asked me to remind him a few days before which I did.
I only gave a B for punctuality because they were about 20 minutes late.
We agreed on a price for the extra services which I thought was very fair. $600 for the second coat of paint in both rooms, which it really needed, and all the wall and window trim.
They were very professional, did a quality job and cleaned up after themselves.
I saw some of the previous bad reviews after I booked and was worried, however I had a great experience. I think people need to read terms and conditions carefully and be very open with their needs.

Scheduling was a bit awkward. I called the phone number in the morning and the gentleman said he could stop by my house and quote me at noon. One person showed up and I told him I had a Groupon for painting services from Cobb. He asked me if I purchased the Groupon and if I hadn't, don't purchase it and pay him directly. He quoted me a decent price. I told him I would call him back in the afternoon if I decided to use their services. I called him back and left a message saying I would be using them. No return phone call, they just showed up an hour later. I had already removed all of the outlet face plates and heating/AC vents, which I would assume they were not going to remove. They did not lay any drop cloths and there were several paint spatters on my hardwood floors. Luckily, I was able to lay some drop cloths literally under them as they worked to protect my $400 area rug from muddy footprints and paint splatters. The 3 workers were friendly and they and quot;completedand quot; the job very quickly. All edge work was done by hand and was inconsistent. To their credit, they did not over-paint the edges (did not get paint on the trim or ceiling). The area roller work was decent, there were a few spots where the previous white color showed through. I had to clean up a few edges after they left, wipe up some paint spots on the hardwood, and vacuum and shampoo some spots on the rug. On the positive side, they painted a rather large room in under 2 hours. If you are to use them, make sure you prep/tape the room yourself and have your valuables covered before they get there. They do one thing... paint.

Cobbs Painting was awful. I got an Angie's groupon for them. Then when I got two groupon's they said that I could use them online and then when they got here they said that I had to return the groupon and then pay them with a check. They only did one coat even though it was only about $100 per room and I had to buy my own paint, which was fine because I already had the paint anyways. The coats were terrible. There's patches where you can see through it to the bottom paint. And they didn't take off any of the switch plates or anything, they just painted around them. The only thing that could be said for them was that they were fast. The people were nice, but I think that they were just too pushed by doing the groupon, that it might have been too much for their company. They were just to stressed out by it. They were going to two more jobs after my place so they were trying to get it done as quickly as possible.

They did the job exceptionally quick. They completed the work in under two days. They had a big crew and did a good job.
