Steve Selengut I was an Atlantic termite management customer for more than ten years, secure in the expectation that the $500 per year I was paying for bonded protection would serve me well when the time came to sell my property.... perhaps I was being a bit naive. Atlantic had charged about $1,500 (plus or minus) for the original termite treatment and inspection, and provided an annual "bond" that I assumed would be transferable to the new owners. Wrong again, they stiffed me for the seven months remaining on the bond... and so much as admitted that they would recharge the new owners for both an inspection and their annual bond on the same property! So when you sell a house in SC, you need to get a CL100 inspection for termites, a $100 dollar expense that one would expect you could count on as part of the service (termite bond!) provided by the company you've paid $5,000 to for protection. The form pretty much attests to the fact that they have been doing their job since you hired them. Nope. You have to pay them another $100 for a ten minute walk through, and a report that says nothing about either the structural integrity of the buildings or the absence of termites and other wood eating critters for the past ten years.... well there's 5 grand down the drain, and we're not done yet. So the buyers bank doesn't seem to trust Atlantic very much either, and with 48 hours 'till closing decides that it better get a "Clearance Letter" to make sure the building isn't about to crumble into the dust. You guessed it, Atlantic (Hunter Ford, to be precise) told me: "We're not qualified to prepare a Clearance Letter". Go figure, the company you've paid thousands to over the years is admittedly "unqualified" to attest to the effectiveness of their work... another $150 to an outside contractor for the clearance letter (do you think Atlantic gets a kickback?) Caveat Emptor! Think twice about using this outfit... they're just not qualified.

"Mr. [Member Name Removed]-: We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with our services. We did treat your home for termites and maintained a warranty on that home for several years. You were informed that the property was eligible to have the bond transferred to the new owner and this is also stated on the CL-100 form that the warranty is transferrable. The pro-rated amount of your renewal fee could have been taken care of at closing, such as is done for property taxes, etc. with the buyer. We do charge a nominal fee to perform CL-100 inspections, as is standard in our industry. Depending on what is found during that inspection, a qualified building expert or licensed contractor may be recommended. We are not licensed by the state to give an opinion as to the structural integrity of a structure; to do so would be illegal. Also illegal, are kickbacks, as that is in violation of the RESPA act. We have been in business for 75 years, and pride ourselves on excellent customer service. I am sorry for any misunderstanding; however, please know that we did everything by our company policy and the guidelines of the laws that govern our industry. Hunter Ford- GM Termite Division"

Although they had serviced our home very well for 16 years, their service took a down turn this year when the Exterminator who had serviced our home for those 16 years left the company. First, the company did not have the courtesy to let us know their had been a change in the person we expected in our home. What they said was "someone else is helping him catch up on his schedule". (Hence "fair" rating on "professionalism".) Second, his replacement, although punctual and friendly, was not familiar with the pest control techniques which had been used so successfully inside our home by his own company. Also his treatment of the "lawn" was confined to a few feet from the house. (Hence the "bad" rating on "quality" . . . we did not get the quality of service we had been paying for and expecting for 16 years.)

IT went very well. They told me they would be back to install the termite traps, but it rain for 2 weeks straight.  When the rain ceased, their workers were there to take care of the termite problem.
 I apologize for this VERY LATE review on this great company.  The gentleman who met with me, installed the termite traps were all wonderful, patient and did superior work.  This job was done in late November 2015.  I would absolutely hire them again.  Thanks Atlantic Pest & Termite.

don't have any complaints about the gentlemen who came out to complete the work- they were on time, polite, professional. They guarantee their work x 30 days, and I will say I guess I was expecting to see the effects of the treatment for a little longer than that since they suggested we sign up for quarterly treatments to keep our home pest-free which would suggest a treatment can get you through about 90 days, but literally by about day 35 a lot of the bugs were back, which was a little disappointing but not a deal breaker (the treatment HAS kept the ants at bay, though). Also, the price for a one-time treatment ($150) was significantly higher than the price we were quoted from Palmetto Exterminators (~$90). We went with Atlantic Pest despite the higher price because they were able to schedule us next day whereas Palmetto couldn't come out for 8 days. Anyway, the real problem, though, and why I won't hire this company again, was the way their company handled a billing incident that ended up being their bank's fault. I'll spare readers all the details, but Atlantic Pest was totally unwilling to look into the matter or be proactive in any way whatsoever and just kept insisting like a broken record that we owed them a bad-check fine. After multiple calls with my bank & Atlantic Pest, Atlantic Pest kept insisting we owed the fine regardless of the fact that the check we had written wasn't bad because they thought we should pay the fine and then just get OUR bank to reimburse us that money- even though no mistake had been made on our end or our bank's- which didn't make any sense. Why should our bank be responsible for that money when they din't do anything wrong either? And obviously our bank wasn't willing to do that. So I ultimately had to demand they gave me THEIR bank's name so I could call their bank MYSELF (in the middle of my work day) since the person at Atlantic Pest was totally unwilling to contact their own bank. Seriously, they were unwilling to call their own bank and I had to do it for them. That's crazy, and even their bank pointed out that usually they wouldn't talk directly to a customer about a billing issue with a company they do business with. But after hearing me out, their bank called my bank and lo and behold, the mistake had been made by their bank. So in the end their bank called both myself and my bank to apologize and say I didn't owe the fine, but I thought it was really lousy that Atlantic Pest never even bothered to call me to apologize for all of the inconvenience. That's pretty horrible customer service.

Not very well with Atlantic.
The new company had no problem getting rid of all the roaches on the first try. They sprayed around the perimeter of the house, under the house, and all around the eaves outside. Was very thorough inside the house also..... no roach problem at all now.

We had contacted numerous other companies in trying to get rid of the unusual odor coming into our bathroom.  Atlantic discovered the problem and solved the problem.  They came numerous times as previously stated, and offered a clear description of the work they were doing.  From the technicians that came to the house, to the operator that answered the phone, they were extremely helpful and friendly.  I can't speak highly enough of my relations with this company.  They were a joy to work with.

I rent out a house which experienced an unexpected infestation. I called Atlantic from halfway across the globe and they contacted my tenants and arranged an immediate treatment. I also use them for my termite bond, and since I haven't really had any issues there, I assume it's effective! They are very courteous and professional. when I call / email.

We scheduled a consultation with this company and were put in contact with Roosevelt, who was able to come that day to give us a consultation. After giving us a recommendation of quarterly treatments, we then scheduled an appt the next day. He treated the house and advised us to call if we saw any more bugs. The only ones we have seen since then are dead ones. We will use them quarterly.
