Mr. Ben Barnes and SureLine had been recommended to us by the lighting store where we purchased the lights he was to install. (Mr. Barnes is NOT an employee of that store; he was on their list of recommended electricians.) We contacted Mr. Barnes and set a firm appointment (specifying date and time) to install interior lighting in our home. Mr. Barnes promised to arrive at our home on the date and time agreed. However, on the date and at the time...NO SHOW! After allowing a reasonable time for him to arrive...we attempted, repeatedly, to telephone/text Mr. Barnes to determine his whereabouts. No response. None. Thereafter, we tried to contact him throughout the day....again: No response. We are understanding and reasonable people...we know that "things happen," particularly in the building trades or in people's personal lives. However, two days later...still no word. No call. No apology. No explanation. We were forced to find another electrician...which is no easy task in this growing area. Mr.Barnes may be a superb electrician; but he is a poor businessperson. Failing to show at an established appointment and failing to respond to repeated inquiries thereafter is unprofessional.
