We called PuroClean and they gave us a quote over the phone, which we accepted and they were there within a couple of hours. They set up their professional-grade sump pumps and quickly got the water out. My husband was able to go out and buy a new sump pump while they were pumping out the basement. They left their sump pump in place overnight, so my husband could set up our new sump pump. By Thursday night, we were down to wet spot on the floor -- 6 inches of water gone! My husband got our new sump pump set up and working Thursday night, but it was a relief to have the PuroClean pump there as a back up in case anything went wrong.
Friday morning they were back on sight to spray for mold and set up 4 massive dryers and a dehumidifier. They also removed what had been cardboard boxes of books and other water-logged items we needed to remove. By Saturday, we had dry spots appearing and we were able to move remaining plastic storage boxes onto dry spots to make sure that "hidden" wet spots dried out. On Monday morning PuroClean returned to test the humidity in the air (it was fine) and remove their equipment.
Honestly, I can't imagine us dealing with this situation without the services of PuroClean. They were professional, knowledgeable, kind and considerate. We were overwhelmed and exhausted by the water in the basement and the staff at PuroClean helped immensely.
Like most reviewers, I hope we never need the services of PuroClean again, but it we do, they'll be the first call we make. Will certainly recommend their services to family, friends and neighbors who find themselves in similar situation.
Weather did not improve, noone can control that, but they can control how they address a bad situation. Rather than contacting me, as promised, I was left in the dark for a month. It's now March 5th, and after 3 separate times being told they'll call me back, and 3 separate times receiving no call, I called today and was told to try and look for someone else.
Update: Chris called me on this and and apologized for the communication issues, he explained an alternative plan for doing the work that needed to be done, and we went ahead and scheduled it to begin next Wednesday. In the end that's all I was looking for, a little communication.
I'll update this again when the work completes based on how everything works out. Am leaving my original review intact as everything there is still true. For now I'll move all the ratings to N/A.
Final update: work was completed today, Nick came by to pick up the air scrubber and other equipment. Was a delay in completion due to failing the first air test, but holly did a great job creation communicating the problems and came back out quickly to remedy it. All in all, I'm happy with the end result, just not the lack of communication before it. Mistakes happen and the situation was remedied. I'd feel comfortable giving them another chance if the need we're ever to arise.
"I do apologize for the poor communication, the terrible weather this winter has forced us to put dozens of jobs on hold till spring, but we should have communicated this more frequently. In addition, while not ideal, there are sometimes ways to work around our original plan, which is what we intend to do this week at Jason's house, we look forward to exceeding this customer's expectations as we complete the project."
Reviewed the basement for mold
"(Member), We shoot for all As, so I'm sorry you thought our pricing came in at a C. This was a large job that would require a lot of effort and expertise to succeed. I need to note that PuroClean wasn't actually hired, so we did not complete these services. If you would like to revisit this estimate, please let us know at 401-737-4329."
This company and its staff are unbeatable. Excellent work by pleasant reliable people.
We had used their services just
a few weeks earlier because we had 18" of water in our basement caused by a stuck sump pump.
Ray took our situation to his boss and the company gave us a break on the price of the cleanup.
We are so grateful and cannot thank you enough? THANK YOU Puro-Clean!
P.S. Do you cover damage from a plague of locusts? We are expecting a third disaster soon.
Two employees came out as scheduled, removed what was necessary and were very accomodating as far as where they were moving things and managed to work around a very large aquarium I had. They set up blowers, fans, and the most enormous dehumidifier I have ever seen. The next day another employee came to check humidity levels (still high) and the following day Chris came back to check levels which were good so he removed the equipment.
We were given lots of advice and suggestions to prevent this from happening again.
I have never dealt with more professional, courteous, helpful people in my life. This is hands down the most pleasant experience I have had in having any sort of work done at my home, despite the really aggravating circumstances. I would not hesitate to hire Puroclean again. We were extremely impressed. It's obvious that Chris works very hard to make sure this is the case with his customers.
The invoice was delivered to my email two days later, followed by a paper copy in the mail. Overall, I was very satisfied with this service.
