Description of Work: I was looking for a reputable locksmith and found Ferdie's. I called and scheduled an appointment on the same day. Eric came out to rekey 2 locks. he was professional, experienced and efficient. he finished up within 20 minutes or so. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Description of Work: I closed on a new house and needed the lock on the front door re-keyed. The lock is from the 1940's. Eric phoned to say he was on his way, changed the tumbler in about 10 minutes, made me multiple copies of the key and was pleasant and very polite. Definitely a great representative of his skilled profession.

 + 0 moreThey took about 2 hours to fix the issues with the front door handle since it was a very old handle and system...they walked us through the repair, though and told us exactly what they were doing. Our door finally works now! They arrived promptly and were professional.

 + -1 more'Ferdie' was a bit hard to reach initially (left message, return call) but came to the house when arranged to repair (in the event) replace a lock on a garage door into the house. He replaced the lock and had the new one installed in 45 minutes. An easy experience.

 + -1 moreWe closed on our new house and called them immediately to change the locks. They came in 15 minutes (!) and quickly and professionally took apart, re-keyed, and reassembled all locks except one that we didn't have the key to. That one he told me exactly how to replace - even advised me to buy the lock itself at Lowe's because it was cheaper. He also took the time to show me how to oil the locks, and made one extra key without being asked. This business has been around forever, and they clearly take pride in their work.

 + -1 moreNice people, reasonable prices, and the locksmith arrived on time. The work was good, but not great. Everything works fine, but about a week later I did have to retighten a couple of screws on a passage (knob) set, and glue a small strip of wood back onto the door jamb where the new strike was installed. The locksmith was friendly and courteous.
Description of Work: A locksmith came out and installed a new deadbolt lock, and rekeyed three other locks to match. Also, a strike was replaced.

 + -1 moreCame immediately in response to phone call advising that I had locked myself out. Locksmith attempted to pick existing lock. He ended up having to drill out existing lock, replacing it with new lock which he keyed to match other existing locks. Service was prompt and friendly.
