I can't say enough about Kevin and his team. They went above and beyond for me. I just purchased my first home and it has a dirt floor basement with NO WINDOWS!!! I was very nervous and had a million questions. Kevin stayed in constant contact with me during the entire process and put my mind at ease. I had other companies refuse to do the job because of the level of difficulty but it seemed like it was a piece of cake for Kevin and his team. The job went very well. Kevin Gonsalves is very professional and punctual. He was in constant communication with each step of the process. We did run into some unforeseen problems during demolition but Kevin was able to contact some people (after I was having difficulty in getting someone who was immediately available) to remedy the situation and the people who came charged a very reasonable price. Rather than pay Kevin one lump sum, I was able to pay for each step (Demolition, pre-cast steps installation, and finally the pouring of concrete for the walkway). After the work was complete, Kevin and his crew came by the following day to clean up and make everything look nice and presentable. He also gave us tips on proper maintenance and care. Kevin also came in $1000 less than another quote we received from another company. It does not appear that we sacrificed quality over price. I would definitely use Kevin again and recommend him others.

Kevin was a pleasure to work with. He gave me a quote a day after I called him and was already working on the job with in 2 days. He consistently kept me updated by sending me pictures at each stage of the project. He had a little extra concrete left when the original project was completed and he took the initiative to use the extra materials to patch some of the defects in my concrete walkway at no extra cost. Kevin kept the area clean throughout and was exceptionally professional at all times. He ensured I was satisfied with the work before any money exchanged hands. I'll definitely be using Kevin again for my next masonry project.

Kevin was very quick to contact me after receiving my inquiry. We discussed the repair project and he determined he would not be able to take on this particular project. He had been great - even spending time to offer advice on the repairs and overview on what a good contractor should do to repair. I had contacted several other masons from Angie's list and had very little luck in getting any of them to return my calls & emails. So, it was refreshing to find someone that was responsive, helpful, and informative. Kevin went one step further and referred me to another mason - Robert Downing (RJ Downing masonry). Robert Downing did an excellent job and I am extremely happy with the referral. Based upon my experience, I would definitely recommend Kevin to others.

Fantastic. I am SHOCKED that we were able to save the existing stairs. I grew up in this house these stairs have always been an accident waiting to happen. I am so thankful to Kevin and his crew for making our home safe. If you are unsure about hiring Kevin, look at the pictures of his work.

As we have had Kevin perform work previously (at least 5 or 6 years ago), I knew that when our front steps had finally gotten to the stage of NEEDING to be repaired, that Kevin was the man to call. We originally had the steps built by a less than qualified (or professional) individual about 10 years ago. How I wish we would have known about Kevin at that time! It would have saved a lot of aggravation, not to mention money! But it was a first job of its kind that we ever did on the house, so you live and then you learn. I emailed Kevin on a Wednesday evening thru Angie's List and he called the next morning at 9:30! He inspected the stairs to determine the repairs needed and then told us that he could be out the next day to do the work. Work started that very next day around 7:30AM and the repairs to the steps was done within a few hours! He was out to the house on Sunday morning to remove the wooden form pieces. He then showed me some small repairs the he did to the walkway and foundation. The fact that he did an amazing job on the steps AND went above and beyond by doing other small concrete repairs (that were not part of his estimate or the final payment) tells me that making the choice to hire Kevin F. Gonsalves several years ago and then just recently, was indeed a smart one. Kevin is knowledgeable, professional, personable, punctual and reliable. I keep his business card in my wallet for those occasions where someone may ask "Do you know of any good Concrete guy?", because Kevin will be the man who I will refer to friends and family without a doubt!

Great! I love Kevin. we had steps that were crumbling. We were told by others that they needed to be replaced and could not be repaired. We were prepared to replace them but kevin told us they could be repaired instead and so that's what he did. We saved a lot of money. He was so easy to work with. I only wish I had other work to give him!

Kevin was a pleasure to work with. I was impressed by how quickly he was able get the job done. I called him on a Saturday expecting to leave a message but he answered the phone and came out on Monday to look at the job. He was very honest about the pros and cons of fixing the existing steps or replacing them. His main concern was that I would be happy with the job. I opted to repair them, which saved me money. Within 10 days of my original call, the job was completed and I am very happy with it. I would absolutely recommend Kevin and would call him again.

Kevin and his crew are fantastic. Hire them. My Mom is elderly and lives alone. Her house had dangerous holes in concrete front stairs, walkway and front wall. When I called Kevin, he made an appointment for the next day, as he was working nearby, to estimate the work needed at my Mom's house in Warren, RI. When he did the estimate, he met my Mom and called me to say that although he was very busy he would put a rush on the job as my Mom could fall from the broken concrete. He came that weekend with equipment and 2 other workers to do the work. They completed the job but had to leave forms in place for the concrete to cure. Several days later he came back by himself to remove the forms and do some touch-up work. He provided before and after photos and videos of the project. The price and turnaround time were excellent. Other contractors I called, before Kevin, were not interested in a small job. The other contractors seemed to be interested in only large multi thousand dollar projects. My Mom and I are extremely pleased with Kevin and his crew and highly recommend them. We will use them again on any other concrete work we need done on our properties.

Kevin is a pleasure to work with. I had to leave town before the construction. Kevin sent photos of daily production while I was on the road. Job was complete in 3 days and looks amazing. He is very professional and prompt with his services.

He kept me fully informed and he and his crew were right on time. They did the job quickly and efficiently. The clean up after the job was well done. and the price was reasonable. Excellent workmanship! I've used Kevin Gonsalves for concrete work in the past and am completely satisfied with his services. Kevin reasonably priced the job and did not go over budget. I want to also give a special thanks to J. Lowery General Services who handled all the demolition work for Kevin. Collectively, these gentlemen are not only contractors but honest, hard working and selfless individuals who take great pride in their work. Trust me, you will be satisfied!

Kevin was very responsive from the very first call to him. He came out and provided an estimate that was very cost-friendly. He is very concerned about long-term impact of the project and steered me away from putting a full walkway in front of the house where tree roots could eventually damage the walkway (recommended a flagstone approach that I will do eventually). He was able to fit me in in a reasonable amount of time and made sure I knew ahead of time when he would come out to do the work. He was very efficient. Throughout the job, he would keep me updated on how it was going and would confirm how things looked before he poured the concrete. He poured the first portion of the walkway on a Friday and came back to finish the remaining portion on a Monday. He was back out on Tuesday to remove the final molding for the sidewalk. He gave me tips for helping the curing of the sidewalk and long-term maintenance of it. He also did a couple of minor touch-up projects to our steps (with no additional cost to the estimate). Again, during and afterwards, he would check in to see how it was looking and my satisfaction with it. I've had several people compliment us on how nice our new walkway looks! I wish I had done this sooner! I would definitely recommend Kevin for your concrete work (I have already passed his contact info onto some friends). He is passionate about doing great concrete work. If we decide to get our steps completely redone in the future, Kevin will be the first person we call.
