Roger sanded and applied 3 coats of polyurethane to my floor. It was evident after the 3rd coat of polyurethane that there were some obvious flaws in the finish (multiple roller marks and spotted in one area) due to the way it was applied. I may have lived with it had it not been in the dead center of the room and the first thing you saw when you walked in the front door. I called and left him a message the next day and my call was not returned. I had to call again several days later. His response was that it would fade in time as we walked on it. I insisted it be addressed. A week later he came back and sanded just that area and applied another coat of polyurethane to that area. I questioned if it would blend in. He said it would be fine. Needless to say it wasn't, you could see the outline of the added coat of polyurethane. After I called him two more times I said if need be I wanted the entire floor buffed and a coat of polyurethane be applied to the entire floor if that was the only way to blend it in. When he returned (another week later) he said if he tried to fix it, it may look worse (which really should have been his concern, not mine), and of course that is what happened after he blobbed on another coat of polyurethane just to that area without even sanding it. I called and left him another message to call me, I was never called back. My husband called and left a message and he returned his call. My husband let him know we weren't very happy with his work. He essentially told my husband it was my fault for wanted him to fix it. My husband asked if it wouldn't have been better to buff the entire floor and go over the entire floor with another coat of polyurethane. Needless to say he didn't offer to do that. Ultimately we had to pay a third party to buff the floor and go over it again with another coat of polyurethane. From start to finish it took us three weeks to have our floor completed, talk about a huge inconvenience when you have to keep the room empty. We ended up having to have thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant and the floor should have been done 2 days after Halloween! In addition I want to add there were multiple areas of dried tiny bubbles in Roger's final coat of polyurethane. Roger and his coworker were also not very professional in that they badmouthed another client as they worked on my floors. In addition they were not careful in my house as they banged into my chandelier and his coworker carelessly banged into my new kitchen cabinets with heavy equipment right in front of me! His coworker also rolled down my living room window so he could spit out of it. Roger also called me eagle eyes to his coworker for pointing out flaws which I didn't appreciate. Not professional at all! Huge headache! Save yourself the aggravation!
