He was awesome! Arrived on a weekend to assess the job, and he fit me in on Monday. The job was perfectly completed with no issues. I would use this service again with plumbing or any issues!

Update... Alex and handyman 24/7 did sue myself and my husband for payment after refusing to fix the problems. We countersued for the amount it would cost to fix the problems (amounting in close to $3000.00). Both cases were dismissed. During the time before we went to court, Alex had his lawyer send a letter threatening to sue myself for defamation over my angies list review if we did not take down our review and drop our countersuit immediately and pay him. It was obviously a scare tactic but goes to show how far he would go to get his money for work considered unfinished. Even after the cases were dismissed, he continued to say that unless we paid him that he would sue for defamation for more money than we could ever afford. We have since also had more problems, needing a new backplash for our countertop due to it not being sealed properly, yet because of all of this, we unfortunately do not have the money. He seems like a really nice guy until he doesn't get his own way. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Upon our walk through, we noticed that the sink did not sit flush with the counter top on the left hand side and the plumbing looks as if it were done by a 5th grader. The counter top itself was a half inch shorter than it should have been so there is now a gap between the counter top and the chair rail. Also when drilling in handles, a hole was drilled in the wrong place under where the handle was actually placed. Another handle was also placed off center. The cabinets themselves don't all sit flush with one another either, which is due to poor workmanship when screwing the cabinets together. When starting this project, we also decided to add a new wall of cabinets which i had a graphic design of made with measurements included. Unfortunately, even with the help of the graphic design, the installer STILL managed to put them in the wrong spot. Upon speaking with Alex, he stated he would sort only the sink, and ONLY if i paid him 100% of of the remaining balance that day before he left my house (which included unauthorized extras for a total of $1112.50). As per his contract, only 75% is due while work is in progress and i stated that i would not pay for the unauthorized extras and would give him up to 75% until the job is actually completed. He then tried blaming the sink saying that it wasn't their work, it's the sink that's the problem (since then i have had another contractor out AND a plumber and BOTH say that it was installed incorrectly, the clamps weren't even tightened on the sink, and both questioned the integrity of the plumbing under the sink also). After some back and forth with Alex demanding full payment of the remaining balance before he would leave, Alex proceeded to myself and my husband that he's "dealt with dishonest people like you before, and i'll sue you and put a lien on your house. I'm the kind of guy that will spend a thousand dollars to get a thousand dollars from someone like you". At that point, myself and my husband asked him to leave our home to which he stated "If i leave now, i'll never come back and i'm going to sue you". Later that day, he emailed me yet ANOTHER invoice, which was now for $1532.50. and he decided that the job was now not valid for the angies list coupon for 10% off. We now have to hire a plumber to fix the work with the plumbing and sink, order a new drawer fronts and have them changed out, fix the wall where they made the counter top too short and to move the new wall of cabinets to where they should have been placed originally. All in all, we have been given 3 separate prices from Alex. The $2100 which we paid 50% of upfront (which was originally agreed that the 10% coupon for kitchen remodel was valid and that our remaining balance upon completion would be $850). Then upon supposed 'completion' of the project we were given an invoice totaling a balance of $1112.50, citing extras that were never authorized (one of these being a trip to home depot where the contractor as well as supposedly buying parts for our job which totaled approx $40, did his own personal shopping with the receipt totaling almost $300). And then later, yet ANOTHER invoice, which was now for $1532.50. Consumer beware!

They are absolutely wonderful. I am really delighted with their services. They are really wonderful people to work with, I think. I feel that 24/7 Handymen really tried very, very hard to make sure that the customer is satisfied. I feel as if they go out of their way to deliver a good product at a good price. I also feel that when they come in to talk with you for the first time, and to get a general idea as to what you need to have done, they listen to what you say. For example, in my situation, I really needed new bathrooms and a new kitchen. I had a limited amount of money that I was willing to spend for it. And they were wonderful at working with me to keep me within the budget - within the amount of money that I was willing to spend. And I think that's really important. Sometimes a contractor will come in and their focus is to get you to spend as much money as possible. Here, with 24/7, I explained what my long term plans are for the house, I explained how long I expect to be here, and what I wanted done, and the amount of money that I was willing to spend and they took it from there and they really, really ran with it. Something else that a prospective customer might want to be aware of is that they do try to think creatively to solve problems that might crop up. Fore example, in one of the bathrooms, we very much wanted some additional storage space. Actually, we wanted some storage space. The old bathroom had virtually none. Its a very, very small bathroom. This is a house that was built in the early 1970's and its a town house and there's not a lot of space in the bathrooms. They are all small. But the contractor was able to come up with a really good solution that worked and that was extremely reasonable in price. So it might not have given us as much storage space as we would have liked, but for the amount of money they we were willing to invest, it was a very good solution. In those situations where maybe they said 'I'll be there at 5 o'clock' and they weren't going to be able to make that because of getting tied up with something that happened earlier in the after noon, there was always a phone to call to say 'We have a bit of a problem. Would 6 o'clock work with you?'

It went well. They were easy to work with. Price was fine for all that they did. I will use them in the future.

Told salesman about pricing issues and he did not care at all. "Oh, okay...then you won't be using us?" and that was all that was said.

Some went better than others. They were good for handyman type jobs. They did paint my dining room as one of the jobs and the paint started to peel. They offered to come back to fix it but I couldn't find the original paint. They did bids on bigger projects but the estimates were a bit high. Went with another contractor for bigger project. Would still use for general handyman stuff.

The job was very professional. Very clean and affordable.

We are extremely pleased with our experience with 24/7 Handymen and plan to use their services again in the very near future as we continue to update and improve our townhouse. We set ourselves a budget for this project, and Alex and our contractor Roberto really listened to our priorities and concerns, and worked with us to meet our budgetary goals and other requirements. In one very small bathroom, we wanted to add some storage capacity but thought we might not be able to do so because of some plumbing peculiarities and space limitations. Roberto was able to provide a creative, attractive, and economical solution to this problem. The work was completed on time, and Roberto and his workers were attentive, courteous, and very easy to work with, including Scott and his assistant who did electrical work in our attic crawl space on a day when the temperatures were close to 95 degrees. During the course of the project, Alex called a number of times to see if there were any problems and it was a pleasure to be able to say no. The bottom line is that our new bathrooms not only met our expectations, but actually look better than we would have thought possible for the money that we were willing to spend, and we would certainly recommend 24/7 Handymen to other prospective customers.

It got off to a slow start. The lin provided when I purchased a coupon didn't work.And after I called and had an initial visit, their e-mail server wouldn't send an attached quote. But once their logistics were reorganized, almost everything went well. The work proceeded on schedule and was done well. I was pleased enough that I asked for estimates on two other jobs and plan to follow thru later this fall or next spring. Reframing the door was a much bigger job than they anticipated because the existing doorway was neither level, plumb nor square. The new door, and its associated storm door had to be cut down more than anticipated. Which led to the main glitch in the project. The storm door originally purchased had to be exchanged for a smaller one. The contractor took it back and exchanged it. But it wasn't till several days after the work was completed and paid for, that I realized that the replacement storm door was a different style than the one originally selected. It was on a back door, so the aesthetics were not crucial, but I didn't like the appearance as well as the original. More important, one is more likely to push against the screen itself, rather than the metal bar on the other style. The contractor was apologetic and promised to provide a discount on the next job to make up for the mistake. All-in-all I was satisfied with the workmanship and price, and plan to use them again

I needed to have this done before my borough inspection took place and I was not disappointed. They worked within my time frame and did a great job. Originally I was just going to get the living room completed but then was offered a discount for also doing the dining room so I decided to do both. I am glad that I did! I'm very pleased with the results.

I have had a great experience with this company. The person that I've had contact with is Alex and he has been very professional and pleasant. Most of the work has been completed and the remaining work will be finished next week. They were accommodating and met me at times that was convenient for me. Anytime I had questions or needed to change something Alex was quick to respond and very patient (I had made a couple of changes to the work being done). My house is very old and the windows that were replaced had to be customized. I expected this to take a long time but he was able to get them in less than a week. I would definitely recommend 24/Handyman and will use them in the future!

They are very attentive. They did an excellent job on the painting. The electrical was a little inconvenient due to scheduling but other than that all of the jobs were done well. The guy who did the painting was excellent. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again in the future.

He promptly furnished me with professional and detailed estimates on siding and paint, via email. His estimates were VERY competitive. I had several estimates done and had to chose one, which happen to be a different contractor. Several weeks later, IRE-MODEL contacted me, inquiring my decision. He was willing to work with me on the price but I had already confirmed another contractor. If I hadn't already confirmed another contractor, I most likely would have chosen IRE-MODEL.

I was really surprised by my experience with this company after reading the great reviews. On the first job I had 'quoted', Alex contacted me promptly and arranged an appointment within a few days. They arrived a little late, but had the courtesy to call ahead to let me know they were running late. The work we needed done was having 2 faucets hooked up and a new shower handle installed. They looked at the work and said they could start the work the next day. I thought that was great, but they hadn't actually quoted me anything. When I called to get a quote, I was told that it was hard to really give a quote. When I pressed further, I was told that it could take 1-2 guys 1 - 1 1/2 days. I do not have a lot of experience with plumbing, but that is a very broad quote for a fairly specific job. I was told that they don't know how many times they would have to run out to buy a supply or something...that just seemed strange to me. I told them that I couldn't understand such a broad quote...so they narrowed it down to 'it probably wouldn't cost more than $700. $700 for replacing 2 faucets and a handle in the shower was just too excessive, so we decided not to have them do this work. The second quote we requested was to install 2 recessed lights in our hallway. The wiring was there for one light and the electrician they sent said he would just run a wire from that box to a spot 6 feet away and it would all work from the existing light switch. And, since the lights could be accessed from the open attic above the hallway, it would be a very simple job. Also, we already had the lights, so that would not need to be included in the price. We had previously had 5 recessed lights installed in a kitchen in a ranch house by another electrician. That electrician did everything including buying the lights and running the wiring to the breaker box in the basement and that cost about $500 and took him about 6 hours. So I was very surprised when Alex quoted us $325 when this job was much simpler than the kitchen job. When we expressed surprise at the amount, he said that every house is different and that they were going to run new wiring to the breaker box. This house is to code...we didn't need new wiring and the electrician didn't suggest it at all. I only wanted a wire run to another light...nothing to the circuit box. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt...maybe the first experience was just a fluke. But, after getting the second quote, I really started to feel like they were just adding things on unnecessarily. I had purchased the $99 for 3 hours of labor deal on Angie's List...I have a hard time believing that at least the wiring job would take longer than 3 hours. I wanted to start out with a small job just to see how this company operated. We have several more remodeling jobs to accomplish and I was hopeful that I could use just this one person to coordinate all of it. I takes a lot for me to write a bad review or complain about a company. But, since this is the whole purpose of Angie's List, I wouldn't feel right not leaving my honest feedback. I hope that anyone who deals with them in the future has a better experience than I did.

They did a fine job on the first two, gutter and basketball pole, but two days later we discovered that they'd not turned off the hose. In the bathroom, the worker got all wet because he told me my shut off valve needed to be replaced. He also said he couldn't put the piece into the toilet correctly because the pipe was too long and needed to be replaced. When they left, the toilet did not work properly. We called our own plumber and he adjusted the piece in the toilet, because it was adjustable (not because the pipe was too long). He replaced the washer in the shut off valve which solved the problem. When I talked to Alex, the man in charge, he said we should have replaced the toilet.

We had no complaints. Both Alex and Martin were professional and courteous, responded promptly, had reasonable prices, did their work on time, and left us with contact information if we had any follow-up issues. We've already recommended them to several neighbors on our street.

Worker was a bit tardy for the first visit but everything after that went as planned except for the fact that he had to work really hard to repair and color match the crown molding. He spent so long doing it, I kinda felt sorry for him. Finished up on a second visit during the weekend. Job was completed satisfactorily and for exactly the agreed upon $, despite this extra time. Alex was always in touch with me to make sure I was happy with his contractors work.

I recieved an estimate for two windows on either side of my fireplace. I went with another company because of a lower estimate, but I would consider them again for a large job; I had no problems with the initial encounter.

The estimate process was wonderful and very good. They were at my place when they said they were going to be. The guys who came out were very cordial. The estimate was right on target. I would use them again in the future.

Alex, Martin and his team were on time, professional and courteous. All work was completed as promised and was very well done.

I cannot tell you how extremely please I am with the process...start to finish. I moved out-of-state, and contracted Alex to fix up my house so that I can put it on the market. He was 100% professional with everything. He called at least once a week to update me on the process, and e-mailed me pictures as the work was being done. If you need work done on your home or office, look no further. Alex is your man!

This company was good about visiting my house and providing detailled quotations based on my request. They were the most cost-effective solution and very customer-friendly. When we discovered electrical issues, not part of the original scope, they provided an optional, low cost service provider, which we choose and worked out great. The only issues I had were 1). not enough materail was ordered (twice) and 2). local permit process was underestimated. Both lead to delays in the project completion. However the end result was positive and will be quoting them on future remodeling projects.

Excellent service, estimate was exactly as quoted, everything was above my expectations, was timely, cleaned area when finished. I would definetly recommend and use again.
