Roman windows offers services in installing and repairing replacement windows that grew popular in the 70's to the present. Replacing fogged glass, screens and replacing balances so the window sashes stay up. R/W offers service at the home. It's much more convenient to repair the older window than replace it. A good replacement window should last 50 yrs. Although you may have to periodically service it. Over 30 years experience.

I called him and he responded promptly. He came out on a weekend, which I appreciated, to look at the job. He was a bit late. He walked in the house and said, and quot;nope, not something I can do. And winter is coming, so it will be cold.and quot; I appreciate his honesty and his coming out, but it almost seemed like he didn't want to try. It was really strange. Other contractors I've had look at this went around to inspect the casing, etc, and didn't think it was a big deal to put the window back up.
Description of Work: Came out to look at boarded up window where I wanted to put in custom window (which I have) back in its frame.

Description of Work: Provider was not available to do the service. Had surgery. Came to see what needed to be done, and decided he couldn't do it. All I asked was to have windows and operators replace, which is what a window company does. But he said he couldn't do it. Not sure why he came in the first place.

Description of Work: I spoke to Dave, the owner, regarding our windows that need repair. He was extremely professional and the most knowledgable contractor I have spoken to. He is unfortunetly having knee surgery and will be out for 8 weeks. With 5 questions, asking me for specific ID#s on the windows, he was able to greatly help me better explain the problems so I can better explain to see if I can find someone to help me in the meantime. I have had such a hard time; I have made a special note so that if I haven't found someone else I trust; I will be first on his schedule when he resumes work.

Everything went very well. Dave Roman is very knowledgeable and professional. We would recommend him to anyone needing window work.
Description of Work: This was the 3rd time we called Dave Roman for a window issue. We received his name from TRACO window company. The first time he installed a new piece of glass we received from TRACO after the seal broke in a window. Even though TRACO sent the wrong size glass Dave made some adjustments and we were able to use the window until TRACO sent the proper size. Dave came back installed the proper size and the window works perfectly. Recently, we had a problem with another very large TRACO window (unfortunately, the residential part of TRACO is out of business and our warranty is also gone). Dave came, checked out the window and advised us where to get a comparable piece of glass. Dave is very personable and knowledgeable. He shows up on time and does follow ups after the job is completed. His prices are reasonable and I would recommend him to anyone needing window replacement.

I am going to have two more put in. He not only installs the windows, but he will follow up with you. He is a straight forward guy. He will come back if there are any problems.

I had a window broken by a bb gun. I called Dave to discuss the options for repairing or replacing it. He said since it was an Anderson window, he didn't think he could repair it, but he put me in touch with Andersen to order the replacement window. He offered to install it when it arrived. Dave worked with my schedule and the weather forecast to pick a good day to do it. He got here on time and got the window replaced quickly for a reasonable price. I enjoyed talking with him. I would call him again if ever I needed a window replaced.

David Roman is the owner. I spent $250 for the windows. He was great. He did a great job of installing the windows. If there is any problem with the windows, he will come back out and fix them. I can get any type of window done by him. He is excellent. I have shopped around and I am sure that there is no one who can beat his price and his service. His service is the main deal. He will come back after the installation and make sure that everything is okay. I have an old house, which is more than a hundred years old. He makes sure that the windows fit correctly. He provides outstanding service. I will be using his services for windows in a couple of weeks.

Dave came and checked out the windows to see if they needed repaired or replaced. He said he could fix them if he could get the parts. Waiting for the parts took the longest. I was selling the home and the new owners required that I get those windows fixed. The closing was moved up and Dave made sure he got in there and fixed the windows before the closing. I am very satisfied with the job, the promptness and the price. I have already recommended Dave to other people.
Description of Work: Dave replaced the baluster cords in 6 windows.

Dave got back to me right away. He checked out the problem, showed me exactly what what going on and fixed the problem. He was efficient and cleaned up after himself. He asked if I had any WD-40 and showed me how to spray areas of the window to prevent future problems.
Description of Work: The top window would not stay up. Dave came out and discovered that the window was not broke at all but that the window frame needed adjusted. He took the window out, repaired the frame using nails to tighten the frame in the middle and put the window back in.

VERY REASONABLY PRICED. DAVE EVEN SHOWED ME HOW TO MAKE THE REPAIR IF IT RECURRED. ALSO GAVE ME TIPS ON CHECKING THE OTHER WINDOWS, AND AGAIN SHARED HIS EXPERTISE.
Description of Work: DOUBLE HUNG WINDOW BALANCE TORSION SPRING CAME OFF WINDOW, AND WINDOW WOULD NOT STAY UP. ADJUSTED TENSION ON BALANCE SPRING ON BOTH SIDES OF WINDOW, AND RE-HUNG WINDOW.
