I am very happy with the excellent work. Jim, described to me in detail the work that needed to be done, how and when it would be completed.. He constantly kept me informed on every step. Everything he said he would do was done. He also identified other preventative work that was needed in the crawl space, and it was completed at no additional cost to the original estimate.. Jim was highly professional,, trustworthy, and on time. Given the severity of the problems with the beams, it could have damaged the entire structure of the house. Jim put me at ease and assured me that the problem would be taken care of at a reasonable cost. I appreciate the way he communicated with me. Often times it is not only what you say but how it is said. During my 30 years plus as a former employee with New York City’s HPD, the largest municipal housing program in the country, I engaged with various contractors over the years, as well as with contractors for my personal work. Working with Jim has been the best experience I ever had.

Jim and his assistant arrived on time and were a pleasure to work with, very matter of fact, honest and hardworking. They worked with the home inspector to identify problem areas and what needed to be done. The inspection being on a Saturday, Jim was in contact with us later that evening to answer our questions and get a feel for what we were thinking, which we really appreciated. On Monday we were in contact again with a general idea of the quote, and then he sent over the quote in writing promptly the next morning, just as he promised. Jim's professionalism, honesty, and ability to communicate have secured him as our go-to contractor for as long as we're in the area.

Excellent. H-H is the best. Our old chimney was crumbling. H-H came and had to knock half of it down and rebuilt it. Not an easy or small job. They came quickly and did the job with great care and craftsmanship. Just as always, they did job safety and to proper code with the safety of our family mind. Jim and Josh really care about their work, their professional reputation and they value the customers well being and safety above all else. They do top quality work and all work at a very reasonable price.

Jimmy is a man of his words, and was right on time. I explained to Jimmy that I worked remote and will be on the phone and whenever he knew, there will be drilling and loud noise and he asked that, that will be okay so as not to disturb me. His thoughtfulness and consideration of my work day had shown me his professionalism, respect and courtesy which I truly appreciate it. He gave me a time frame on what it would be done and before lunch my deck was brand new. There was more work to be done on the inside of my home and I certainly I'm having Jimmy come back. I highly recommend him to anyone.

H&H Contractors are as fine as the come - anywhere. Jim is quite polite and professional, to a fault. He'll answer the phone promptly (no get back to you 'someday' leave a message); answers your questions in professional manner: and keeps you informed as to his time and when he'll show up and then follows thru in a most timely fashion. When showing up to provide an estimate he'll do the job right at that time if possible. Jim does great work. He stands by his performance and builds his business on the concept of gaining a return customer for life. He gained my allegiance on one job. I'll be using H&H contractors again in the near future and will always recommend them to others. Thanks Jim for a great job. jp

Terrible excuse after excuseswhy they couldn’t come. They came looked at the Job . Never told me how much it would cost and then for a month and a half did nothing but tell me they would call me back . This company is a waist of your time don’t bother.

The quality of work was excellent. They were professional, timely, polite, and cleaned up upon completion.

On time and on budget! If you can say this about your contractor, they are the exception. Jim and his crew are exactly that exception. He did not charge us a dime over what was promised in the contract and. The quality of work is impeccable and Jim was always available for questions and suggestions. His vast knowledge and experience is clearly demonstrated in his work. I wholeheartedly recommend Jim and his team.

H-H is a great contractor. They scheduled us immediately and got the job done efficiently. The door looks beautiful and the sink looks and works great. There was some bad water damage and they were able to correct all damage with no issues. I feel confident and trust in their work and we will definitely use them in the future.

They were extremely professional. I didn’t expect them to be able to strip the paint off as well as they did. My deck was peeling badly, and I had tried to power wash the paint off myself, but failed badly. Jim told me that they would be able to get 90% of the paint off, but got off more than 99% of the paint. I was amazed by their results. The stain went on great, and my deck looks like it is brand new again. They even fixed some deck boards that were coming up, which is more than I contracted for. Why would I ever consider hiring anyone else? I wouldn’t. H-H will be my contractor for future projects. The price was also very fair. I estimated in my head what I felt the job should cost, and he matched exactly what I thought it should be. No haggling. Thank you H-H for being there for me!!

Fantastic. He was very kind and considerate. I called him on a Tuesday for an estimate and the job was completed by Friday afternoon of the same week. I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely call again for future services and repairs.

We have hired many contractors through our lives and have had many take a deposit, start projects, tear a hole in the wall, and wonder off as soon as a bigger job comes along, leaving us hanging. H - H will not do this to you. They are HONEST. They GET IT DONE. Always quality work to code at a reasonable price. This is probably our fourth or fifth job hiring H - H. The reason we keep calling them back is because they do a great job every time! They are also nice guys to deal with. Never condescending and they explain everything they are doing so you understand what is going into the job. They have made recommendations to me on projects that have saved me lots of money without compromising quality, where less ethical contractors would have recommended the highest price points. H - H always looks out for the customer because they want you to call them back.

We saw that H-H had excellent reviews on Angie's list. We use this numerous times before and had excellent luck with all the contractors we ever used. Not this time. We called and had them come out for an estimate. The gentlemen was very curious and professional. We seemed to have the same ideas on what we'd hoped to get done. Upon leaving he said he would check out some stuff and give us some ideas. He did call the next day with an idea he had. But we weren't go excited about it. That's the last we heard. We texted him once and left 1 message. He never had the courtesy to return the call. Even if the job was too small (it says on his card "we do it all") I would've appreciated a call or text saying he was not interested. I got zippo. I've left quite a few reviews on Angie's list. All very good. This is the first negative review I have ever left. I would not recommend H-H Construction.
