First off, let me state that I already have experience in installing 2 bathroom showers with floor tile, as well as 1 kitchen backsplash. I am not new to the tiling after doing it myself. But with 2 kids under 2 years, I no longer have the time to do these projects quickly, so I wanted to outsource this project to get it done professionally and sometime within this decade. ;0) We recently updated our kitchen with new cabinetry and quartz countertops. Because the kitchen is in an open concept room shared with our dining and living room, I wanted the tile work to be PERFECT because it would always be visible to everyone. .I read the reviews online and opted to go for Jon since he was right in my area and he would actually be doing the tile work himself (with John, his helper). Here's how it went: Planning: - Jon looked at the space a few weeks before hand and offered some ideas on where to set the tiles on the countertop - he offered solutions for what to do with funky bullnose edge since our upper cabinets and countertop lines were not the same due to overhang on countertops. Jon gave me different options of what could be done to make it look the best - offered grout suggestions and dropped off samples that I could preview with my tiles in different lighting to make sure I picked the right one - very responsive. Contacted me the night before or 2 days before (I forgot which one) to make sure we were good for the agreed upon start date Installation: - Very clean and respectful of our house. Even put tarp/drop cloths down in our garage where he used his wet saw to protect our garage (I've never seen a contractor or anyone else at our house do that). Cabinets were taped up with plastic drop cloth to be protected - Very professional...when I said earlier that I wanted the tile to be perfect...I have high expectations if I am paying someone to do something that I already know how to do, then I want it to look as though it was professionally done. The subway tile installed was perfect. I love it every time I go into the kitchen. The way that the corners are completed, the grout lines where the counters meet the cabinets...all done perfectly! It could be in "House Beautiful" magazine or HGTV - We also re-discussed what we had agreed upon when we were in the planning process so he knew he completely understood what I wanted (in case anything had changed too). I hate when contractors make design decisions for you that you have to live with, so I was happy that he would ask me questions when it was appropriate - friendly and showed up on time. He is an easy going guy, but very detailed. John, his helper, was terrific too. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone in the area. Additionally, we have some tile work needed in our 2 upstairs bathrooms and while I don't know when we get around to doing the work, we will absolutely plan our updates around Jon's availability to ensure he & John will be available to do the tile work because I want it to look as good as our kitchen backsplash does.

Jon is a true tile guy which I have found to be rare in the Harrisburg area. He is very professional, offered advice on design and his attention to detail was terrific. Quality of his work is fantastic. I will definitely use him for future tile jobs. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed working with someone that cares and is trustworthy.

I cannot emphasize how talented and professional Jon is. He takes time to listen to your wants/needs and discusses everything with you along the way. His skills are superior and the shower looks amazing. As a result of such a great experience we have hired Jon to install a tile backsplash in our kitchen. This has been one of the best installation experiences we have ever. Jon is a joy to work with and always felt completely secure knowing that the job(s) will come out beautifully.
