I wish I knew Steve before. This is the first time I used him and the experience was awesome overall. Steve came the same day to diagnose the problem. Steve found the problem to be a faulty thermostat and installed a temporary generic one so that we can keep using the refrigerator. After the part came, he called and scheduled an appointment very fast and replaced the part. Refrigerator is running fine like new. I highly recommend using Steve for all your appliance repair needs. Steve is highly knowledgeable in appliance repairs and very easy to work with.

After reviewing local appliance repair services in Angie's List, Steve Haklar was my first choice based on excellent reviews by 24 previous customers. I called his number this morning at 9:40 AM and Steve personally answered the phone after a few rings. After I told him about my ice maker problem, Steve asked me a few questions about my refrigerator and was able to determine the most likely cause of the problem. After verifying that the parts were available to correct the problem, he said he would be at my home between 12:00 and 2:00 to do the repair work. As he promised, Steve arrived at my home around 12:30 and completed the repair in about a half hour. I was amazed that anyone could complete a non-emergency repair in just a little over 4 hours after receiving a service call, Steve is both professional and personable. His service call and labor rates are very reasonable. In my case, most of the cost was for the necessary parts.

Steve is an exceptionally professional technician who arrived on time, and went to work immediately, and continued to work without interruption or delay. During this entire time, he patiently explained both what needed to be done and what he was doing as he worked. During the cleanup and invoice writing process, Steve reviewed what he had done and answered all of our questions. Because of his knowledge and work ethic, we will hire him again without the slightest hesitation!

Successful. I got an answer on my first call and we set a window for the service call. I provided my model number. On the day of service, Steve called to say the part delivery would be delayed 2 hours and agreed to call as soon as he had it in hand. He promptly called back, arrived at the new time and performed the installation. Very professional, explained the problem with the old unit and gave some advice for future maintenance. I would call him back without question. Very reasonable on price. $150 parts / $65 labor + some tax

My wife and I found out our freezer was not functioning late Friday, 11March2016. We cleared most of the perishables to another fridge in the basement. I unsuccessfully called and emailed several Angie List providers but never received a call back. I called Steve Haklar this morning at about 9:20AM. I told him the problem; he asked for the fridge model number and he showed up a little over two hours later. He was in and out between 30 to 45 minutes. I had the fridge pulled out and accessible to him which he thanked me for. I have his card and if the fridge goes down again I have his contact information. I would recommend this gent to anyone. I found Steve here on Angies list. When I called about my dishwasher, he listened to what I had to say and came out the next day. He came with parts just in case, but found that the water pump was clogged with a piece of glass from a water glass that broke and gotten through the strainer. Steve is very personal and friendly and have found my new appliance repairman for now on. Give Steve a try, you wont be sorry.

From my first contact with Steve he listened to the issue which was a leak under my dishwasher, took the model number of the dishwasher and said he'd be out later that same day! Already this was a positive sign. He was at my house when he said he would be and promptly started working on the repair. He was clearly knowledgeable and polite and wasted no time fixing the problem which was replacement of the water inlet valve. When he was finished with the repair , he turned the water back on and made sure that the dishwasher ran without leaking. He also took a look at my refrigerator which was also leaking water out the front on occasion. He cleaned out the drain and chipped the accumulated ice from the refrigerator floor. He was careful to clean up the water and put everything back when finished. His price was very fair and I would definitely use his services again.

Steve was extremely personable. He replaced the fan motor in the freezer compartment of our refrigerator quickly and efficiently. He is the man we will call should we ever need appliance repairs in the future

It was very good experience working with Mr. Haklar. He was very professional and prompt in returning my call and setting up appointment to come and look at the dishwasher. Mr Haklar was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time (as much as was needed for me to understand) and care answering questions and explaining in great detail the problem with hard-water in our area and how it was impacting the dishwasher. The dishwasher is fixed and working properly now and I am very happy overall with service provided. Additionally, his price was reasonable and fair.

He's one of the nicest and most efficient repairmen we've ever had! He was fast, reasonable and very polite.

On Friday October 28 I realized my refrigerator that was not too cold was seriously deficient. The milk was curdled, and the other items such as yogurt were quite warm. I called providers from Angie's list hoping for Saturday service. I called several providers who said the best they could do was Monday! The thought of going 2 more days without refrigeration was not pleasant. Steve Haklar answered the call, and called me back as promised since he was at a customer's site during the initial call. He agreed to arrive on Saturday, the next day between 11-1. He also said he would call when he was on his way. True to his word, he called at 11:30 am on Saturday and arrived as promised 15 minutes later. His work was very neat --there was lots of ice cubes to empty out from the freezer. He was very professional, His fees for his labor were most reasonable, and the price for the replacement defrost heater was certainly cheaper than buying a new refrigerator! I am grateful for his prompt affordable courteous service since appliance repair is a blind item for me. I will call him again for appliance repairs as needed. Heads up: he said he does not repair Samsung or LG appliances due to the difficulty getting parts. All in all a happy customer!

Steve scheduled an appointment for the same day I called, asked the model of the dishwasher and the general problem. He arrived with part in hand and repair was complete within a half hour. Definitely will use Steve again.

Came when promised, had to return with a part the next day. Steve gave a clear estimate and did the work for the price quoted. Very pleased with his effort and knowledge. Washer working fine now. The replacement part cost about $180.

Steve answered my call and assured me he would come out today to look at my wash machine which stopped spinning on the eve of company coming. He came out in the afternoon, called when he realized he would be little late. He was very polite and professional,

Excellent service. Steve came in at a short notice. Before coming he discussed the details of the problem over phone and gave the estimate of what it takes to fix the problem and how much it costs. After finishing the job he charged exactly what he quoted over phone though, it took a bit longer than his time estimate. We called him for dishwasher, but had the refrigerator also fixed at a very reasonable cost. He honestly charged for his time and effort. The quality of his work is top class. We highly recommend him.

Our washing machine stopped working one day. I made several calls to appliance repair technicians in the area and Steve was the only technician willing to come out and take a look at the problem right away. He scheduled an appointment around our work schedule, and fixed the issue, which was a clog. He explained what he was doing every step of the way, and was very fair with his pricing. I highly recommend using this contractor.

When we called, he diagnosed one of two thing over the phone and ordered both parts before coming out so we would not have to pay for two service calls. He was prompt, courteous, and professional and cleaned up after himself.
