DS PAINTING

DS painting did a fantastic job! Paint looks beautiful - lines between trim, walls and ceiling are perfect. Job included the entire house and was done while we were home, they were very professional and a pleasure to have in our home. They cleaned up at the end of each day and made the project enjoyable. Derek even helped us select colors. They are highly recommended!!

He rescheduled the appointment the night before, an hour after I reminded the tenant that he was coming. 2 or 3 weeks later he was late in arrival. Work looks good so far.

Wonderful experience working with Derek over the course of a week to complete the job. On-time every day, very professional, excellent clean-up, and took time every day to walk me through each area looking for anything needing touch-ups. I would absolutely recommend Derek. He helped turn our house into a Home.

Derek performed the work we agreed on and stayed to do more as we kept adding on when we kept seeing the transformation they were giving our home. They spackled and painted almost the entirety of the home by the time they were done. We couldn't be happier. We will be asking Derek to return when we have more for him to do. The decision to hire Derek was his honesty from the first phone call, to all of the work, to making sure our home was clean when they were all finished. One of the best traits about Derek and his brother is their love for dogs (I'm sure other animals as well), as one day they had finished up and they had stayed for a little bit to play with the dogs who were couped up out of the way for the day. The dogs loved it, they were quickly best friends and were the whole time. Derek and his brother were very accomodating and respectful. They were more than happy to help with moving furniture without asking us to do it but to help them we tried to stay ahead if we could. If we couldn't it never phased them. They work quick but do not compromise quality. I will certainly be using them again. To speak to Derek making sure it is quality work there was a spot in the ceiling in our hallway that didn't look like it coated properly on the edges due to the previous wallpaper that was there and without even mentioning anything Derek pointed it out to us and fixed it by coatiing and making sure it looked right, even though it took more work than what was originally quoted. I respected his wanting to make it look right and treating our home as if it were his. Can't beat the workmanship, price, and quality. They truly transformed out home. Approximate cost of service was painting only, not the paint.

The brothers are terrific. They were professional and detail oriented while also very personable. I enjoyed having them here and will have them back whenever the need arises. They even made fast friends with my 4 dogs.

Derek and his brother were excellent. They came on time, fixed a couple of cracks, painted the foyer beautifully, and left the foyer cleaner than it was to begin with. I would summarize Derek as being very professional, skilled, and with the right attitude.

Derek and his workers did an awesome job. They were punctual and very careful in covering all the walls first. His trimming along the edges where the ceiling paint met the wall paint was precise. The job took 2 days because the ceilings took 2 coats. I looked around for pricing and Derek's price was awesome. You will not regret hiring them. They are professional, friendly and I will recommend them to my friends and to anyone that is on Angie's list. Happy painting! 😊

The garage was painted extremely well with attention to detail and excellent clean up. The main bathroom ceiling and drywall work was outstanding.

Second floor of our house is about 800 square feet and took almost 6 days to paint. It's an older house that hadn't been painted for very long time and second floor has been a rental for over 30 years, so it required extra work and posed more challenges than normal. One of the challenges was plaster on hallway ceiling and foyer being so old, the paint was not sticking to it. Derek had never dealt with this situation before, and it slowed him down, but he was able to come up with solution that produced nice result at the end of the day. I let Derek know where I wanted cables, nails, etc removed from walls & baseboards and he is good about doing what you ask. It's important to let him know rather than assuming he will read your mind. Most of first day was spent spackling, excessive amounts of spackle applied to fill in all the dents, holes, etc. Derek and his brother Dana have good work ethic and experience, so I feel I hired the right guys to get this job done. They arrived early every day and got right to work and they have positive attitude, which always goes a long way. Their pricing is reasonable for the amount of work they do. The only complaint I have is that I didn't get copy of receipts and I think customer should get that if they want it, since they are paying for paint. I am glad I hired them and will use them for future jobs if they are up for the challenge.

DS Painting did a great job. Derek came to the house before the job to consult on drywall repair and ceiling painting. Derek and his brother arrived on time and were both very polite and took care to complete all work for our job, as agreed. The drywall damage was repaired and we are satisfied with the quality of work performed.

We contracted for a fixed number of hours. I was hoping that our very large great room and foyer could be painted in that time. Not only did Derek and his brother paint the great room and foyer (20+ foot ceilings) with two coats but also the upstairs and downstairs halls, mud room area and the stairway to the basement. They were energizer bunnies of painting! We tried to have things cleared and ready to paint but wow, in the end they did so much I said go home early on the second day! Definitely no concern over slowing down on a by the hour job. We are VERY pleased and would hire again.

I was very impressed by the quality of work and the speed in which the job was done. Both painters were personable and professional. The only complaint is that they used really dirty drop cloths. They made an attempt to clean my hard wood floor, but after spending more than an hour cleaning it myself, I will still need to spend more time tomorrow.

Great. Compared to CertaPro, which I also used around the same time, DS did a better job at a lower cost. Have recommended DS to friends and will definitely have them back to do more painting.

Derek and his brother arrived on time and worked until the 40 hours was completed. Everything went smoothly. I was very impressed with the painting.
