Very professional, punctual maintenance crew did an awesome job on our lawn. They were friendly, attentive, and focused on the details. Excellent service so far, and we will be using them for the foreseeable future for lawn and yard maintenance.

I can't say enough about this company.  I had decided once last year (2014) that I could find someone less expensive and did.  All to my own dismay, they didn't know what they were doing.  Advertised as supervising their men with a licensed master gardener I came to realize he didn't know a mum from an azalea, and made up stuff as he went.  And then he quit coming, which was in itself a blessing.  I stopped that service and crawled back to Cascade on bended knee!
If I need something extra, I call the office and it gets done, or someone comes out to discuss it further. Very responsive, and they try hard to make sure you get what you want at a price you can afford. Had bark put in all the garden areas and it's beautiful!

Two workers, who performed the requested sprinkler repairs, were cheerful, worked rapidly, cleaned up each area thoroughly and provided suggestions as to how better locate sprinkler heads and add one or two for better water coverage.
The company was sold shortly afterward and we did not call them for service again, but sought out another company for future sprinkler maintenance.

$30 for mow and blow, the front yard only. Here less than 5 mins just
blowing crap all over the yard. The mower is set so high it doesn't even
cut the grass! It just makes tire marks in the yard. Edging is a joke.
They don't even clean up the edging mess! They were supposed to weed and
rake today. They didn't. My yard looks so bad after them being in
charge of it for over a month, that people knock on my door offering
their services! We used them before and fired them. We gave them a
second chance and regret it. They might be cheap but in this case, you
get what you pay for. For $5 more I get REAL lawn service by people who
actually pride themselves on doing a good job. Never again.

I needed an emergency, same day repair to my lawn irrigation system. I had a valve leak in the irrigation box that was so severe we had to shut off water to the house. My usual irrigation service provider was unable to come out same day, and I called 5 other companies looking for someone who could help us that day. Cascade was able to quickly accommodate us and made it out that afternoon to make the repair so we could get our water turned back on.

On Sept.13,2011 Bernie Bravo arrived with his crew to install a block wall with a drain behind it, and leave the area level in front of the wall. That was the contract. He gave a sense of knowledge and dependability. We agreed that was what was to be done. On the 14th Sept. I was concerned that the wall was half way built, the ground was not excavated level and the workers were trying to put the drain behind the wall,so I called Bernie Bravo by phone and asked him to come and look at the project, because I felt the drain should be at the bottom of the bank it was supposed to drain. He asked why I thought I knew more than he about the wall building business, but he agreed to come out. (I have photos of the drain and wall). I went to work and when I got home there was a message on the home phone saying everything was done and they were leaving. The wall was 12 inches above the bank. The total height of the wall was 24 inches. I had intended having a concrete path and patio installed next summer, but I was concerned that one end of the drain could be seen half way up behind the wall, so I called a concrete company. he gave me an estimate which include removing the wall, leveling the ground and replacing the drain at a different location to drain properly. I e-mailed Bernie Bravo this information, also that the drain was too high on one end. He mentioned it had to be that way and it was also draining away from the house. (I had paid only half the money at this time). He was persistent about coming back and redoing the work and doing it right. He said I could supervise the work. No! that did not work with me, so I called a professional.inspector to give an evaluation. He mapped where the drain was and showed where it should be (I have photos which he gave me) He tested the flow with dye and found it was not flowing forward. (Cascade had connected the drain to the downspout/sewer pipe, though he could not find where at that time) I called Cascade and said they could re-do the work and have a copy of the inspection report. On 10/31 the work started 'l9ain. I went out with Bernie Bravo and crew and he assured me the ground would be level with the base of the deck step where he was standing. He spoke with his workers in Spanish and I felt confident again. They dug hard wit shovels, lowered the wall, made a second connection to the down pipe and removed the earth from lowering the wall. The earth in front of the wall was not removed it has the same grade as before-not level (I have photos) I e-mailed Bernie Bravo and asked him to look at the work and see what e thought. He e-mailed back after he looked at it and noted that it looked good. FACT: Cascade Landscape could not do the simple job after two attempts. I paid the rest of the money so they could be gone, it was a nightmare. The excavation still has to be done. The wall looks nice but I don't know if it will have to removed again. Yes, I will pay the next contractor too. I did not mind the late starting time.
UPDATE: 7.26 cubic yards of earth was removed to level the area in front of the wall. One of the drainage pipes is
attached to the house so high it required a step up in the concrete. so. . .
collection pipe at such a high point that it required a step in the concrete

"Here at Cacsade Landscape & Irrigation Inc, we appreciated the fact that our Customers take the time to post a report about Cascade. We respect our Customer's oppinion but we are posting this response only to provide our side of the Story, in this case we just want to say that we will be happy to come back and make the this project right if desire by the Customer, we already went back to re-do the project once and Customer did told me that she was not 100% convince that the area in front of the wall is 100% level, we place a level over the area and the area was level but i did offered to the member that we can do more leveling if necessary she said no, the purpose to level the area is to install a cement patio so i believe the cement Company needs to do their own prep work because they know what they need and i know they may have to excavate more but again if Customer decides we will be more than happy to do that for them even when the prep work for the cement patio was not part of my contrcat. this note was posted with respect to our customer we appreciate the business and respect her oppinion about the project hope she understand."

I use them regularly. I don’t remember the exact cost. They are very reliable. They put in the sprinkler system about seven or eight years ago in my front area. They maintained the old one in the back along with the front. Last year I had him take the old one out and put a new one in the back yard. He’s very reliable. If I need anything I call him and he comes. He also does some digging and replanting of trees and so forth. He combines that with his examination and the sprinkler system. He’s knowledgeable. He’s trustworthy. He’s not necessarily the cheapest person but he’s also not the most expensive either. I just have confidence in him. I haven’t compared his price with anyone else. A couple of years ago he moved some plants and I paid just $30 which wasn’t bad. He had a couple of guys to help him out. He gives a bid online and makes a contract, and guarantees the price will not go beyond that, but it might be under. So once he gives you a price you know that it’s not going to be more than what he said. I would use his services again in the future.

When they began the project, they cut our internet/phone line on the first day of the job. They did not make any effort ahead of time to have lines marked. So right away, this became an issue as it took a few days for Verizon to fix this, and we learned a month later there was a $325 fee from Verizon to put in new line. Bernie offered to pay any expenses related to this issue, so although an inconvenience this was not a deal breaker. However, the Cascade team dug up portions of our yard to install the sprinklers and turned mulched areas into mud areas when they were finished. This was a problem because we have 2 small children who like to play outside, and I didn't expect to have to re-mulch and "fix" the areas they worked on, especially considering the $1500 bill we paid to have sprinkler system fixed. They also charged debris removal fees, yet they filled up my debris can with yard debris. When I called Bernie (I'm the wife, and initially all communication with Bernie was through my husband), I tried to discuss these two issues. He quickly became irritated with me. When I pointed out that having to remulch areas of our yard was not part of the our expectation, he said this was "my opinion." He also said he would discuss this with my husband with him. He was rude to me, didn't acknowledge my concerns, and over the course of our conversation, three times he said he wanted to talk to my husband which was a clear message to me. I was worried moving forward that any landscaping or maintenance issues we may have, he would not be responsive or even polite to me. Unfortunately, we had to terminate working with Cascade Landscape.

"12/13/2010 We respect our costumers opinion about our company but i just want to give some feedback in regards to this project. I made several attempts to meet the member face to face everytime i got a time and date set up they called a few times to say that they were unable to be home for one emergency or another. As far as the project i just wanted to comment that we did call to locate the utilities but sometimes the locationg companies mark the wrong areas and if they mark the wrong the area and we cut a wire/cable we don't have to pay for repairs. It was a huge surprise that Verizon charged $325.00 this time to repair a wire the receit was never shown to me. Also we did 2 free landscape maintenance visits for this folks to make up for the inconvinience, the problem started when i got a phone call to my office one day from the member saying that she wanted me to remove a ridicoulous $35.00 charge for disposal fees than i commented that the $35.00 charge was included in the initial total yard clean-up estimate that they approved and she replied back to me saying that my coustumer service scale was poor that i should just delete the $35.00 instead of saying that the $35.00 were included in the estimate and than that they didn't want us to do any more service for them because i was being rude by not removing the $35.00 charge. She also requested that we provide and apply free bark mulch in their yard to cover some of the trenches done while installing the irrigation which i offered to look at the area with her and her husband so we could figure it out what areas and i was going to be happy to do that for them. The last thing i got was an email from the member cancelling service and a note in the mail saying we will not pay $325.00 because we had to pay Verizon to repair the wire. We gave them the $325.00 credit so we did pay for those charges but they never gave me the opportunity to prove to them that we are a fair and honest company. There is nothing in this world that cannot be fixable exept death and we are always open to resolve any issues or mistakes but the opportunity was not given to us this time. Bernie B"

We callled several landscape companies for estimates to cure a significant drainage problem in our backyard. Bernie was not the least expensive estimate, but we sensed he had the most appropriate solution for our problem. He was responsive and very professional in all of our interactions. His crew was punctual, professional and were very careful throughout the project. They even powerwashed the area in the street where they had soil delivered. We later, several weeks, discover a leak in the irrigation system and Bernie had a crew out to locate and repair the problem within 48 hours. I would highly recommend Cascade Landscape and will certainly hire them again!

It went very well. They came out and determined the problem from my description of what was happening. They made the repair quickly and provided me a detailed itemized receipt so that I could get reimbursed by the utility company. Their report clearly specified the cost I was responsible for (the sprinkler head) and the other work done that was eligible for reimbursement.

I called them on Tues and they said they could be here on Wed or Thurs, and would call me the night before to firm up a time. Not having heard back by Thursday 5:30pm, I called and they said they would be here on Friday AM. On Friday 2 men arrived at the stated time, and completed the job in under one hour. It included digging out around the irrigation box and removing a burst manual valve that should not have been there in the first place. The materials cost seemed a little high ($19) for some straight PVC pipe and a coupler, but with some markup I suppose it was within reason. Overall, I was pleased with the qualify of work that was done. They cleaned up around the area and the repair they did has not leaked at all.
