chimney repair
+ -1 moreThey did not dazzle me at all. I did not pay them anything because they were following up on the job that they should have done for the first time. What I got from them was lot of excuses and finger pointing at the person who actually built the house back in 1970's. We had really big snow couple of years and water got behind due to which duct froze. We had 24 inch of snow there and that would have caused the leak. I got thousand of excuses from them; but mostly it was blaming somebody else. Then they said it would be some really expensive work that coincidentally fits into their schedule because no one was doing anything at that time. I won't trust those guys for anything now. I wouldn't recommend them. I wouldn't do anything to help their business grow.
Description of Work: Weather-Pruf Remodeling caulked around the chimney during February.

+ 0 moreWeather-Pruf was very punctual and I liked the team, but I realized later that I had paid a great deal too much for their services. It was my fault; I did not check Angie's list and I did not get multiple bids; they were recommended by a friend of my Mom's who told us they did lots of little extras for her that she didn't have to pay for. They didn't do little extras for me; in fact, I went around after them and cleaned up some sloppy white edges, repainted places on the house color that they had missed, and picked up paint chips from the yard. I also didn't care for their tendency to tell me why things I wanted done just couldn't be done, when in fact they could and were.
Description of Work: I had them scrape and repaint all the trim on the building, a single story duplex, replace the gutters in the front, scrape and repair fire damage on about 15 square feet of one end of the building (outside.) In two days they had done the work, and came back on another day to finish one flashing project I had included in the bid.

air duct cleaning
+ -1 moreThese were great guys who came within days of us calling, on a Saturday morning! They are very courteous and knowledgeable. We will definitely use them again, Don't get work done until you get a quote from these guys!
Description of Work: The contractor brought this crazy vacuum truck out to my house when we needed our ducts cleaned. He noted right away that 2 ducts were not letting any air through. He later noted that he sucked out giant balls of hair the size of a small dog (the previous owners always had labradors and quite possibly NEVER cleaned the ducts)!! He turned the heater back on and the air was blowing like I have never felt it blow!! I just figured we needed a new heater, which he incidentally quoted $1000 less than the home improvement did to install a Trane. This crew can do it all! We asked for a roofing quote.. while they were up there, they noticed a rubber seal around a pipe was torn and found a hornet's nest inside. They returned a week later with some raid and replace that for $60. This is our new go-to company. We will eventually talk about gutters with them, as well.
