SURFACE

Everything went beautifully. Surface uses amazing tile setters, who installed my surfaces, with huge care and great professionalism. I'm thrilled with how my home looks, Surface was brilliant in everything except follow thru... I had a glass half door installed in my mini master shower, sadly that contractor placed it in the wrong bathroom shower, leaving several holes in the floor tile, that needs those tiny pieces replaced. It's been 2 months, nothing from Surface, other then "we'll get it fixed" . I was also to receive several tiles, from each surface, for down the road repairs, if needed. Those are also in the wind. I would use Surface again, were it necessary, but would also put a fine system in place, to encourage follow thru. Surface has access to more tile and carpet ten I could ave imagined. What I chose is beautiful, but their after install customer service simply stinks. Go there, get ideas, use their tile setters, as you won't find better, anywhere, but don't expect ANYTHING from Surface, after you cut them their final check....

They did a poor job in the accuracy in the ordering of product. This company had very poor customer surface. They did not get back to me when they said they would and I felt out of the loop for the majority of the project. They had a lack of communication with a third party installer. I would not recommend them to others.

It has always gone very well. We bought bamboo floor from them a couple of years ago, which a family member installed in our home office. The product is beautiful and has held up extremely well. We are now almost finished with a kitchen remodel, and we bought the counter tile and the back splash from them. Their selection is excellent, they help narrow the search with lots of good, creative ideas, and their prices are extremely competitive. Because of weather, the holidays, and shipping difficulties, we were having trouble getting the counter tile, and they made it happen somehow. We thought it would put us behind schedule a couple of weeks, but that didn't happen, thanks to Bobby. Everyone there is great, but we have always worked with Bobby, who has been terrific. We looked at products at other stores, but we always came back to Surface for the selection, the price, and the personal customer service.

We had admired a friend's new flooring that they just had installed, so much that we asked who did it. Surface was the one, so we went in and met Kara, one of the two designers who handle all the customer cases. Kara scheduled and stood up at least 4 appts, times when we went left work early, or late, causing us to lose pay. She was impossible to get a hold of, and very rarely returned calls. Since she had treated us so poorly, she promised us 'contractor pricing' for the floors we wanted. When we went in to pull everything together (floors, counters, backsplash, cabinet matching), she helped us pick out everything, yet wrote nothing down. She promised us an estimate in 4 days. 3 weeks passed, and no word. Finally she sent me an email with the bid, but it was all wrong. She had written down the wrong wood, wrong materials, she miscalculated the backsplash, it was just terrible. And the was no 'contractor pricing' deal in it at all. Overall, it was a horrible experience.
