They were great and awesome. They were prompt and three workers came. They knew what they were doing and they were nice. They are knowledgeable and they know plants and yard. They cleaned afterward and they did a really god job.

Tracy and her crew are always on time and always do exactly what I ask. Tracy checks in with my by email a couple of days before our appointment to see what I'd like them to work on. When my schedule allows, I work alongside them. I have learned so much! They also make great suggestions for things that I may not have thought of. They have helped me decide where to move shrubs and plants, and have in some cases moved and replanted the plants for me. They are more expensive than a "mow and blow" service, and their expertise and attention to detail make them worth every penny. I look forward to working with them for years to come.

I love Smiling Gardens! They're a team of women gardeners, led by a horticulturalist: their pricing is fair (not cheap), and their work is expert. Tracy gave us advice about plantings of all sorts, and her team worked half a day mulching, hand weeding, pruning, suppressing grass, etc., etc.

I love Smiling Gardens!! Tracy is very hands on and her crew are wonderful. Communication is excellent and the price is certainly worth the work they do. I would recommend Tracy and her crew to anyone who needs some yard work/landscaping done.

Tracy and her crew of two women arrived at 8 a.m.. Tracy and I did a walk through of the garden, she making notes of what I wanted done. She instructed her crew and the three of them began working. They worked steadily and were efficient and thorough. By 2 p.m. they had completed the clean up. The yard debris was put into the back of our pick up truck which we dumped at a yard debris recycling center. Having knowledgable people working in the garden unsupervised is priceless.

We were out of the country for 5 months from February through June and needed a company that could do the garden maintenance independently and professionally. Our garden is pesticide-free and backyard habitat certified with extensive plant and flower beds, so we needed someone willing to do hand-weeding and able to deal with a wide array of plants, and not just an unskilled lawn-mowing service. As a passionate gardener I needed someone I could trust with my garden for the 5 months we were gone and could not supervise the garden work. I asked Tracy from Smiling Gardens for an estimate because of her track record of professional gardening. But she was also passionate about gardening and genuinely interested in our specific garden. After our return we found the garden in great shape and more beautiful than ever. And the final cost was only half of what Tracy estimated in the beginning. She only charged for the actual work she and her team had done.

She is wonderful. She is amazing. She charges me for the visit and it is on an hourly basis. The appointment is set up and she comes every other week and we also work on special projects as and when. I would be lost without her because I don’t know anything about gardening. She is a horticulturist as well, so she really knows plants.

I was disappointed because she said that the project was bigger than what she wanted to take on. I appreciated her clarity about that though. I don?t know if I would use her in the future.

When we purchased our home 2 years ago the garden was very neglected. Apart from some rhododendrons and azaleas I could not identify the other plants and didn't know where to begin in bringing the garden to life. I first contacted Tracy 2 years ago and am so glad I did. Tracy identified the existing plants, trees, and shrubs and came up with a plan to revitalize the space. I don't know the first thing about plants so Tracy's knowledge is very important to me and I trust her completely. Tracy and her team are great, they are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and always professional. What a fabulous job they do. Tracy's quotes are very detailed and reasonably priced; she's very receptive to ideas and questions. Last year she added a new plant bed and maple tree and she custom built a raised bed for planting vegetables. Someone from Smiling Gardens comes every other week to maintain the garden. The rhododendrons are also kept in check and pruned when necessary. I've received many compliments from neighbors and passers-by on how good the garden looks.

First of all, Tracy Osborn, the owner of Smiling Gardens, provided a very detailed estimate, which included the price of each plant, materials, and hours of labor. There were no "hidden" costs, it was all there in black and white. I like that, because I know exactly what I am paying for. Tracy was very friendly from start to finish. She is an extremely nice and honest woman, and is always smiling. I just had a good intuition about her from the start. We communicated mostly by email and the bid came by email as well. For the most part, I knew exactly what plants I wanted and where I wanted them. However, I did ask her opinion about a few things and she gave me her suggestions. I did go with her suggestions on a few plants and ideas and I was happy that I did. She is a well trained and educated Horticulturist and she knows what she's doing. She is NOT just some fly-by-night landscaper that thinks they know about planting plants. She REALLY does know about different plants, how the seasons/weather affects planting, the soil, sun/shade, irrigation, etc.... She is a true expert and professional. If I remember correctly, her crew are all Horticulturists or studying/training to become Horticulturists. They ALL know what they are doing! She provided top-quality plants. They all looked amazingly healthy and vibrant. Basically, they just came and did the work and left without a trace. It was a very rainy day and they were knee deep in mud, however, I did not see one ounce of evidence that they were there (other than the new plants of course!). There were no muddy footprints on my patio; no scraps of leaves, rocks, weeds anywhere; no piles of dirt or barkdust leftover...it was amazing! I was really excited, because we had so many ugly bare areas for so long and finally it was all filled in and beautiful. The work they did looks amazing! I really can't say enough about it. One issue came up with the area where the Arborvitae were going to go, but Tracy and I talked it out and came up with a solution. It worked out great...she is easy to communicate with. Our sprinkler system is very superficial in some of the areas where they were digging and they were very vigilant about it. Also, since they were already muddy and digging holes, I asked her if she could put in a few decorative bricks along a pathway for me (I gave up on digging the holes myself and never finished the project). I told her that she could add labor time to the final bill for doing it, but she didn't. She said that it was no big deal and didn't charge me for it. I thought that was very nice of her. On top of that, the bricks looked awesome...very professionally done. Everything looked clean and professionally done. Tracy and her crew were top notch! I would use them again and I highly recommend them. I had other bids as well, but Tracy had the "whole package." She guarantees her plants and work for one year, and I have no doubt that if any of the plants had some weird disease or died that she would replace them with out a problem. I am very excited to see everything in bloom next spring/summer!

She is a horticulturist and so she is able to decide what to plant where. She knows exactly how to care for all types of plants and if there is something she doesn't know she will do research to find the answer. She is wonderful to work with. She is very personable, reliable and cooperative. She is fabulous.
