OFFICE FURNITURE SALES

After being a long time customer of this business since 2002, I have recently received very poor customer service from this biz ,and even treated very poorly with regards to needing to make changes with my order. First ,one of the cabinets they delivered was improperly assembled and the lock did not work, which they said they would return to fix. However, before placing my order I was told that the product I wanted was a commonly stocked color and size in their warehouse . When this cabinet turned out to be too large, I requested that instead of sending someone out to fix he locks, that I wanted to return it for the next size cabinet down, and this is where the customer service turned ugly. They insisted on charging their long term customer, who was still planing to purchase waithing room chairs and more file cabinets, a $180.00 restocking fee. I asked them very nicely to reconsider this charge given I was going to purchasing more furniture. They insisted that this policy was clear on their purchase receipts. Well, guess what I was never delivered with my purchase, not a single receipt or purchase statement has been delivered in any form. I asked to speak with the owner of this business because I was astounded that any business in these times would treat a loyal customer with such short sited policies.

What a pleasure it was to work with the staff at Office Furniture DIRECT. Initially, I went to their warehouse on the east side of Portland. Then twice I visited the showroom on the west side. I was delighted when I discovered this company. It carried the same brand of furniture, Performance, that I was attempting to match. Kenny, Chris, and Matt could not have been more knowledgeable, helpful, or accommodating. All three gentlemen worked with me to make sure that my needs were met. They did not try to up-sell me. In fact, I was surprised when they recommended products at the lower end of the price range. The delivery schedule was amazing. I had my order within one or two days of purchase! Kenny, Chris, and Matt made my shopping and buying experience a pleasure. I hightly recommend Office Furniture DIRECT to anyone who needs to furnish office workstations with good quality furniture. Best of all, it is reasonably priced, but the elegant, contemporary design looks very expensive.
