EcoCare Pest Control

I am on a 6 month program where the come out and check the traps. It started in Jan, Feb and kinda March. My dogs and I had to leave for awhile while they were spraying that stuff. It was a great job. They covered up the areas where the rats were coming in. They didn't just cover them up with dirt, they used mesh screens and quick fix cement. I haven't gotten any more rats down there since then. They are really good. Brandon is just an excellent guy to talk with. They service quality was great. I would definitely recommend them to other people. Their response was fantastic.

The first visit was a bit scary, as there was more activity than I was prepared to hear about. Brandon seemed to really know the rodent issue and knew how to tackle it --I feel confident that my home will be free of rodents.....

All went well and they came out again to address additional issues due to a 6 month guarantee.

The woeker was efficient, piolite and actually enjoyed questions i would ask about the ants what his strategy would be, etc.

They were awesome. Figured out and repaired how they were getting in, found another problem area we hadn't even realized was an issue and fixed that too. They didn't push us to buy additional services.

They did an awesome job. Walked around the house making sure everything was covered so we wouldn't have any other friends living with us. They were really friendly and followed up asking how things were going. Let us know to stay away from the traps as well as letting us know the spots that they were going for, which I really appreciated because I have an 8 yr old son. He also explained to me and to him that they were "ouchies" and showed my son how the traps snap which was also very helpful in showing my son that it is not a safe area. He also let me know to keep him away from the utility room until he could solve the problem. I was grateful to that. They were very reasonably priced for the situation.

Wonderfully easy to work with! I arranged for the EcoCare pest removal person to come while I was at work, they sprayed for ants, and since then I've had no ant problems! They sent me an invoice the following week. This is the second time I've used them and will not be going anywhere else! Thanks again.

Just fine, so far. It has been about one month with no bugs inside or near any of the decks.

This is an update of an earlier review, upgrading their rating. After 4 visits, they got the ants under control. Left us a tube and a half of Advion and showed us where to apply it to keep the ants at bay. Long-term solution they recommended (drilling holes in the concrete patio and injecting poison) isn't happening, but the short-term measure is working. I'm not sure the current solution is environmentally friendly, but perhaps that's not an option if you have a large concrete patio under which the ants can set up shop. Overall, my recommendation would be to make sure you go for a multi-month package, not a one-shot deal.

Everything went according to plan and was done in a professional manner.

Jimmy showed me where some of the ants were coming into our house. He was very professional and thorough. He was also very courteous and responsive to all our needs. He also explained exactly what he did. When I asked Jimmy if he would also do around and in the shed after he finished the house, he was also very willing to do that. He explained that there did not appear to be any rats burrowing into our crawl space under the house but perhaps into the shed (and showed us a burrow near the shed). We'll probably have that service done in the near future. Jimmy was also willing to give us the additional 5% discount if we paid upfront for the year-long service. Jimmy arrived in the time window they provided and was very nice and professional. He even remembered our dog his visit last year which was very sweet. The spray has worked thus far. No live spiders in the house (including the basement).

It went great. It took about 30 minutes--which is why I am saying the price was a little high for what was done. A few ants have shown up lately but I think they are manageable

Excellent! They provided the most detailed explanation of how they perform their services and why they stage the work they way they do. Their work lasted over a longer timeframe than the other providers, but it made more sense to ensure full eradication. The technician, Jimmy, showed up on-time to each visit, was highly knowledgeable, very professional and a delight to work with. They guarantee their work for a year and should I need further pest control, I will definitely go back to them.

To our absolute horror, there is a massive rat infestation in the attic (which is the most common place for rats to take up residence!) that other pest contractors who have now examined it say has been going on long term. The attic, unlike the basement crawl spaces, the closets downstairs, and the house perimeter was NEVER treated or attended to by EcoCare for rodents. There were no traps there and nothing was *ever done while we were under contract with them. This is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. The rats, over time, have chewed through and ruined the insulation in the entire top part of our home. EcoCare's response? Too bad, your contract ran out 6 months ago. Again, because of the extent of the damage, the other pest experts say this has been going on for a long time, far longer than 6 months. They charged us several thousand dollars to take care of the pests in our home for years (and did NOT do what they were contractually supposed to do), yet they offered no refund, no remediation, no solution -- nothing. The damage is over $5000 as the insulation across the entire attic needs to be redone. This company is utterly irresponsible, unethical, and unprofessional, we highly urge anyone considering their services to choose someone else.

We had a rodent problem at a rental home that was quite serious. Brandon was incredibly knowledgeable about the problem and was able to explain the process so it wasn't so over-whelming. They were able to provide a video of the crawl space to help us understand what was happening under the house. It required several steps and one full day exclusion process and now bi-monthly maintenance appointments. At times it was challenging to work with the renter and they were very patient and professional in dealing with the situation. I am not including a price because each situation is unique in dealing with this type of problem.

The ants disappeared within a few days and haven't been back. The rest of my yard and driveway also had a lot of activity, that has completely died off. I'm so happy I can use my backyard without worrying about it.

This is an interim review, but far enough along that I'm very worried that it's going to be the final. It started out OK; Mike showed up promptly and was very thorough in treating all the places we showed him where the ants come in. He did advise that it would take some time for the ants to reduce in number because they use eco-friendly substances. After a couple of weeks, the number of ants had not reduced, and ants had shown up in additional rooms. When we called, they told us that normally they ask that customers wait for a month for a re-treat, but since the ants were in new places they would come out again. Mike came back promptly, 18 days after the first treatment, and did another treatment, including the new spots. It has now been another two-plus weeks. The ants are all still there. If anything, there are more of them. Every morning I kill a couple dozen or more on the kitchen counter before I start making breakfast; I kill more as the day progresses. Today I wiped out a very large cluster and trail coming into the family room -- the old-fashioned way, by crushing them. Having ants crawl up my legs while I'm sitting and watching TV in the family room is getting quite tiresome. Writing this reminds me that it has now been more than a month, more than the time they suggested was needed for their treatment to work, so we will be calling again tomorrow. We paid for a 6-month treatment plan. The amount I put down is approximate; it could have been more. It has been a waste of money so far. If they are able to come back and make it better, I will write a revised review.
