Corvallis Family Medicine used to be a great clinic when it was run by Drs. Piepmeyer and Rampton. Since they've both retired, it has become a very strange practice. The lobby is empty, yet they treat longtime patients like my family as though we're bothering them. They cant seem to get the insurance billing straight - I had to make 5 trips there to correct the same mistake over and over. And the front desk staff both check people in and answer appointment calls, meaning you may have to wait 10-20 minutes after arriving to check in. Heaven forbid this makes you one minute late for your own appointment - I was refused service after standing in line for 15 minutes because it was then 10 minutes past my appointment time. Left in March after 8 years with this clinic and wont be going back.

She is a great doctor. I like her a lot. She is thoughtful. She seems to spend the time that she needs, but then, I am a pretty healthy person. Her staffs are pretty nice. They seem alert, aware, and quick.

They have a great system. They always have a on-call doctor. We have used almost everyone on-call. They listen to you and take their time. We always get immediate and prompt care. Everyone is always friendly and prompt care. We like it.

Zoryana was very professional and quick, making a less than pleasant experience tolerable, a great thing in my opinion!

Dr. Mark Rampton seems like a nice guy but he is not a good doctor. He asks about signs and symptoms, but does not listen and internalize the answers.
In the end Dr. Rampton misdiagnosed me. He did not respect the diagnosis of diverticulitis given by the internal medicine doctors at the hospital. Since I have had diverticulitis multiple times I tried explaining to Dr. Rampton that my symptoms were consistent with my past diverticulitis episodes. He simply would not listen to me and insisted on another condition with which the signs and symptoms did not match mine.
Because Dr. Ramptons refused to listen and internalize the signs and symptoms he misdiagnosed my pain as something other than diverticulitis which resulted in a lot more pain, lost work, wasted money and more visits to another doctor.
Dr. Rampton seemed to feel that being a doctor for 35 years means that he is a good doctor. I'm here to say, just because someone has been practicing for 35 years does not mean they are a good doctor.
I do NOT recommend Dr. Rampton as a General Practitioner or an OB.
The next time I need to see a doctor right away, and my other doctor is not available, I will go to urgent care.

Dr. Piepmeyer became angry with an innocent comment I made about possible future treatment. Has has always seemed in a hurry and too willing to "try" this and that for my condition, rather than taking time to consider what might be best for my specific back problem. Going to find a different primary physician now, as he was not only impatient last visit, but stunningly rude.

When I go to see my doctor, it takes as long as it needs to take. He listens and is open. He isn't a demanding physician. He listens to my input as well as his own medical judgment. I found him on a fluke when I moved here. I have been going to him for twenty years.

The appointment went very well. Dr. Rampton was on time, very personable, asked for lots of details to better understand the nature of the injury. He drew pictures to describe the nerve pathways in my hand, gave me a time frame for the healing process, and outlined stages of sensitivity I might experience during the process.
