after he was in the house for awhile he said he would get back to me in about a week and havent heard from him since. Its been about a month now and still havent heard from him. Work was never performed.

ServPro's crew showed up with a couple of hours of my placing my first phone call in the late afternoon. That first night the crew worked for several hours removing stuff from the room, cleaning and disinfecting, disposing of paper, etc. They were polite, friendly, and worked without any need for supervision. They came back a number of times, once to haul away furniture and other bulky stuff in their truck, and several times to check on the drying of the drywall. They were very flexible about when they came over, taking into account our schedule. I was very satisfied with their work.
Description of Work: We had a back-up of sewage due to a clog in a drain line. This back-up led to an accumulation of a couple of inches of dirty water in a concrete floored room that functioned both as a furnace room and a storage room. ServPro laid down plastic sheeting in the adjacent great room, and removed every item (and there was a lot of stuff) from the storage room. They cleaned and disinfected anything that had come into contact with the dirty water and disposed of all the things, ranging from furniture to paper materials that had been affected by the water and which were deemed non-repairable. They dismantled some built-in bookcases and hauled them off. They then cleaned and disinfected the surfaces of the room itself and set up fans to dry areas of dry-wall that had been affected. This took several days. They came back several times to check on the drying process and bring and remove various kinds of fans. Ultimately, they inventoried all the non-repairable items and sent our insurance company the inventory and their bill. I have provided the insurance company with a valuation of the inventoried property. Although I have a deductible, I expect that the insurance company will pay ServePro's bill because the value of the lost property plus the bill definitely exceeds the deductible.

We found them on Angie's list. The valve of our water heater failed when we were on vacation. When we came back and turned it on for regular use the water pressure was real high and it broke the valve of the hot water heater and drained the whole thing into the basement and ruined some things and got everything wet. We had over an inch of water on the floor and it was soaking into the closet and breaking things. It was making an awful mess. We got the local one from Happy Valley, Milwaukie and they came out and they promptly worked in and cleaned up the mess. The insurance company told me to pay my deductible about $1000 and they paid around $1000. They were very good. Some things happened but it was not their fault, somebody fell sick, but you can't delay something's. The work they did was pretty good. They have put everything back together and it looks great. I didn't put up a bid, I didn't compare the price, but the insurance company was happy with it and we just went with them. It was of high quality and it was excellent. In the beginning they were responsive. I was trying to get something back from them, they had taken a carpet from my house, because somebody got sick it got delayed and delayed an extra week or so, but we got it eventually. The person who came here originally to supervise got sick and it dragged for couple of weeks and that's what messed things up but it was not her fault. I am happy with her professionalism. They do a good job. They were careful not to damage any other part of my house. They bought in probably 18 pieces of equipments into my house and thought our electrical bill will be right through the roof, but it wasn't and it was $20 more than normal.

Servpro was the ONLY company that responded the Sunday that I realized my fridge was flooding due to a faulty GE water filter. Because it was spewing water all night, the water not only flooded the wooden floors, but also leaked through to the garage below, and to the exterior front of the townhome. Servpro showed up IMMEDIATELY, got to work quickly and professionally, until all of the equipment was in place to dry up the water. They communicated thoroughly and professionally on a daily basis throughout the week, and were always prompt to arrive at their scheduled times. They did an excellent job in keeping the work area neat and clean, and were very careful when moving around equipment. I was very, very impressed with their professionalism and service.
Description of Work: They assessed the water damage to both the first and second stories of my townhome, brought in their drying equipment, ripped out the part of the wooden floor that needs replacing, and dried everything up over a period of 7 days.

1-5-07: David came out, but he has not fulfilled any of the promises he made for which we paid the $250.00. He brought no equipment, he did no testing and as of this date has not produced any detailed report or estimate. David did not respond to my concerns sent via emails and is never available when I call. I had my husband call him and he will talk with husband and return his calls. My husband asked Dave about the report and was told that the insurance adjuster would first submit a report, then the ins. co. would contact David and he would use his report to refute anything the adjuster said that was untrue. The ins. co. has denied our claim based on their adjuster's report and as of 1-22-07 David had no report prepared for us or our insurance company. David told my husband he would get a detailed ESTIMATE mailed to us by 1-24-07.
Description of Work: None. David Hanson claimed over 10 years experience with Manufactured Homes and that he would give us an in depth report regarding the loss to our home, that he had the equipment to check water and mold damage and that his job was to work with our insurance company to get our claim approved and many other promises. We were charged $250 which he said would cover his time as it would take him at least eight hours to work up a detailed report and estimate, that he would give to us and our insurance company and that the $250 would go against our deductible if we used his company.
