It looks good, but the weather was the difficult part. Galvanized metal requires special paint and Ray knew that and submitted a quote with the right paint. He understood the job and accomplished it as soon as he could.

They scraped the trim, then masked off the brick, finally painted and then cleaned up. A very professional job, arrived when they said they would, did what they said they'd do...we are very pleased with the results. Will definitely use them when it's time to pain the interior.

Good, clean transaction. They did everything they said they were going to do when they said they would do it.

Did have to have painter return for some items that were missed on their estimate because I was not home at time work was actuall done. They accomodated this re-visit very promptly and without any extra charges.

Received an estimate August 22, 2011. I was told that they were running around 2 weeks out. We did call after that to check on the schedule. We set the schedule for Sept. 12th. Craig was at my house around 8:00 to start. He covered the floors and carpet and taped everything. After painting he removed all the paper, plastic and tape and swept. He took the drawers boxes and fronts and the doors back to the shop for spraying. Craig returned Sept. 13th to apply a second coat. The drawers and doors were delivered that same day. They look great! This is the third time I have used Ray the Painter this year. They always show up on time and are very careful.

There was no charge for the estimate. They were prompt with the time for doing the estimate. They came exactly when they said they would.

It went well. We got estimates from three painters on Angie's List. Ray's was the middle of the three. One was outrageous and one was suspiciously low. We contacted Ray's and they set up a time to talk (the estimate was quickly made but this was to view the site and check the color choice. They completed the entire job in three days, one for preparation and two for painting with clean-up on the last day. They did excellent clean-up and performed the work well and for the price of the estimate (including two color trim work). They set a time within one week of our call and stuck too it. An excellent experience.

I called Ray's on Memorial Day Weekend for a bid and received a call back the same day, on a holiday weekend. Already I had a good feeling. Amy and I sat up an appointment for an estimate on my exterior painting, which was also completed quite timely. I accepted the bid the next day and the painters were at my house two days later. By far, the best experience with a contractor I have had. I was told they would have a crew at my home Friday at 8:00 a.m. On Friday at 7:40 a.m., I noticed a pickup truck in front of my home. The contractor stayed in his pickup and at 8:00 a.m. on the dot, he came to the door and he and his six-man crew got started scraping the old paint, reparing old damaged wood, and prepping for the new paint, i.e. caulking, priming, etc. The crew worked all day and got the entire exterior ready for painting. The finished their work around 4:00 and spent the next 45 minutes cleaning up the area. This was a real clean-up. I have had contractors in the past clean up after the job is completed or simply move things out of the way until the end, but Ray's actually cleaned up all the scraped paint, tape and construction paper from the prep work, etc. They moved all our patio furniture for us so as not to accidentally drip paint anywhere. They told me they would return Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. to start the painting. When Monday rolled around, same scenario. Crew was here before 8:00 ready to go, but waited until 8:00 to ring the doorbell. The entire crew worked until the job was completed. All told, it took the men two days to finish the entire exterior. They cleaned up and made sure I was happy with the job. All the damaged areas look perfect. The men even removed all the rubber strips from the doors and painted the inner edges of the doors (which I would have never noticed, but they did). They also alerted me that my son had said the code out loud to open our garage door and that I should probably change it and tell him not to say the code while he was entering it. I very much appreciated that. They also went around on the last day and personally checked to make sure all of my doors were locked. They went above and beyond professionalism, in my opinion, and treated my home as carefully as if it were their own. I would recommend them highly and plan to use them again in the future for any painting needs I may have.

I was very pleased. They were courteous and professional. I only had to call them once and they showed up when they said they would and they did a good job for me.

This company is excellent. The workers are so professional. They were here every morning at 7:00 am and worked steadily until 5:00. The exterior has been through one winter and still looks as good as the day they were finished. I got my money's worth and more. The inside work has been perfect too. I would recommend this company to anyone without reservation. In fact my neighbors across the street have hired then to paint their garage and I have hired them once again to paint my front exterior door, the steps and a new brick wall I recently had built. They are scheduled to be here and do the work in 2 days and once again, I can't wait to see the difference it will make to the exterior of my home. Recommend without reservation. I only have good things to say about this company. ******I would like to update my review 4 years later. My home--the brick, trim, and deck already need to be repainted. The house looks terrible. The caulk that was used on the bricks of my house has all bled through the white paint and is showing up as yellow lines all over my house. I paid for a first rate premium job---$11,000 for a 1350 sf house. All the paint was suppose to be Sherwin Williams top rate paint. All the green trim all over my house has faded completely out and there are giant yellow blotches all over the green trim. The paint is chipping off in large pieces all over the house. The small deck that was suppose to have been stained was just painted and is chipping off terribly. I am 60 years old and have seen many paint jobs. This is the most pathetic job I have ever seen. The house looked great 4 years ago but 4 years later the house trim and deck all need to be completely repainted. If you are considering using this company just drive by my house and look at the work they leave you with. Run from this company as fast as you can. If you hire them you will be throwing your money down the drain

The peaks on our house are large areas, we were concerned about how it would look and we are 100% completely satisfied. Excellent, professional company to deal with. Highest recommendation.

They did an excellent job, they were on time every day and cleaned after they finished every day. If I asked them to corrected anything they did it right away.

It went ok. They estimated that they could start in a week or two, but they also said they would call later to arrange the exact day. One day I came home from work and they had started without calling me. There work was very light duty on prep work without much scraping and no pressure washing at all. There was also some bad communication about whether the house and trim were to be painted one color or two different colors. Overall it worked out ok. I thought I was getting more of a premium prep and restoration job than I actually got. Still, I got a reasonable deal and they finished on time. I'd use them again to paint a rent house or something that I needed a quick inexpensive paint job on. I'd think twice about getting them to "restore" a house that I loved and planned to keep a long time,

We had painted the house ourselves twelve years ago, but were no longer able to tackle such a project. Luckily, Ray the painter's crew was available and they performed excellently. The 1979 wood double garage door looked like a new one. Rob and Chris surpassed our prior performance and our current expectations. Besides being skilled painters they were pleasant and cooperative. They got along well with our four rescue dogs and didn't seem to mind the dogs watchful supervision.

It went ok. I thought I was being quoted an excellent, premium job at a discount. I got an average job at an average price. I was not ripped off or cheated, I got what I paid for but I got a little less than I had thought I was getting. I scheduled the work about 3 weeks in advance. They were supposed to call and schedule the exact day of the work later. One day I came home from work and they were already there and working. They didn't do much scraping of the old peeling paint. They didn't use a pressure washer at all. They did an excellent job of re-caulking the windows and re-painting the metal windows. Make sure you understand specifically what prep work they intend to perform. They did a quick and reasonable job for me at a quick and reasonable price. I'd hire them again to paint a house I was selling or wanted a budget paint job on. I'd be hesitant to get them to work on an old house that I wanted to restore to pristine condition.

After starting to work, we identified some changes to our original plan. Ray the Painter never notified us of any change in cost to his original $13,000 bid. After we had paid him some $18,000, we were notified that they would require an additional $12,000 to finish. Our house is only 4,000 square ft. Ray the Painter pulled their crews from our worksite after we informed them that they would be in competion with new painter to finish the remainder of the work, leaving us with an unfinished home.

Ray the Painter offers a very pleasant work crew. They handled all my wants and needs with ease. I would recommend them to anyone!
