In the last month I have used this company twice. The first time they rescheduled appointments two times and neither time did they tell me they just sent an email that only appears to confirm your time. I was happy with the work even though it seemed a bit expensive. Then my stovetop broke 3 weeks later and I have had the exact same experience. They keep having to reschedule and they keep sending out different techs. When you contact the company they tell you nobody else complains and you're the only one. Very unprofessional. I'm finding somebody else to do my appliance repairs.
Description of Work: They fixed the dryer but have not been able to fix my stove top because they cannot get a appointment set up.

Repair guy came out first and diagnosed the problem. This dryer is not top of the line. The parts (plastic parts) were expensive. Phillip ordered and picked up parts. The parts and labor are guaranteed for a year. This price was high because you pay $99 upfront whether they fix it or not. I decided that I had no interest in shopping for a new dryer spending about $500 and lots of my time and delivery and taking the old dryer away!

They sent out a repair man the day after I called. He figured out what was wrong, but the cost was pretty high, so I asked him to wait until I found out the cost of a new dryer that was like the one I had. Well, the cost was twice as much as the repair. I called the company back and he was able to come out the next day and replace it.
Description of Work: He had to replace the circuit board in my dryer.

The technician was very courteous and answered all of our questions. The only cost we were out was the service call which in my opinion is reasonable. We have used them in the past for dishwasher repair which went well too.
Description of Work: We needed diagnostics done on our washer. It seemed to be the clutch assembly so one was ordered. The problem ended up being the transmission which would cost almost as much as a new washer. Since we never liked this washer in the first place we chose to replace it instead of the repairs.

The Mr. Appliance technician evaluated the problem and recommended it was not worth fixing the freezer. I appreciated that he did not try to sell us parts for a freezer that was destined for the trash.

Description of Work: It's funny, after I read a review on this particular Appliance Repair shop, stating that they made an appointment , customer arrange time off from work to meet, they Called her and cancelled the day of, stating that the repair tech called in sick! it happened to me the very same way....only I told them not to bother coming out, and I called someone else...Later to talk to others, that this shop has a habit of not meeting expectation, and overcharging.....Beware!!!

I had an appointment to have my refrigerator repaired today. I got someone to cover for me at work and planned to take the afternoon off. No problem. I received a call this morning and was told that the repair person who was scheduled to come to my house called in sick and they needed to cancel the appointment and reschedule for Monday. I understand that people get sick and cancellations have to be made. BUT. . . first, I think an apology was in order. I know if I have to reschedule one of my clients, the first thing I do is apologize. Also, it was pretty presumptuous of them to assume that Monday would be just fine. When I told them I'd taken off work, couldn't change the schedule at this late hour, and couldn't take off again on Monday, I think they should have apologized again for the inconvenience and offered to find a way to work with me so they could have come out at a time when I didn't have to take off of work. I think any professional who cared about their clients would do that and it would just be good business. I'm disappointed in thier lack of professionalism and have rescheduled with another business (who has a higher rating on Google and is coming out on Saturday for no extra charge).

Thank you for your review, it is important that we know about these things so we can improve our system. in this case I was sitting next to the CSR that called this customer,(because this is a serious problem when it happens, we were trying to make any arrangements possible and as soon as possible, because there were 7 other customers we had to also call)and I heard her apologize several times and she offered the earliest appt. possible to reschedule. I'm sorry we were not able to keep our appt. due to the technician calling in sick. We work 50 plus hours in the 5 days of the work week so we don't work on the weekends. ON APPROXIMATELY APRIL 1 OR 2 CUSTOMER CONTACTED MR. APPLIANCE FOR WASHING MACHINE REPAIR. EMILY ANSWERED THE PHONE TAKING ALL PERTINENT DETAILS OF THE SITUATION AND CUSTOMERS INFORMATION. AT THIS TIME EMILY WAS POLITE AND ACCOMMANDATING TO CUSTOMER. EMILY GAVE PRICING INFORMATION TO CUSTOMER OF $79.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE THAT IS APPLIED TOWARD THE REPAIR COST. A REPAIR DATE WAS AGREEDED UPON BY EMILY AND CUSTOMER FOR APRIL 4 BETWEEN 1-3. CUSTOMER LEFT WORK EARLY TO MEET APPOINTMENT CUSTOMERS MANAGER ALSO ASKED FOR INFORMATION REGARDING PROVIDER BECAUSE OF LEAK IN HER WASHING MACHINE HOSE. PROVIDERS ARRIVED AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30-2:45. PROVIDERS OBTAINED INFORMATION FROM CUSTOMER REGARDING THE PROBLEM THEN PROCEEDED TO EXAMINE WASHING MACHINE TO LOCATE THE EXACT PROBLEM. PROVIDER DETERMINED THAT THE SWITCH WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PROVIDER INFORMED CUSTOMER THAT THE PART WAS NOT IN STOCK ON THEIR TRUCK AND WOULD HAVE TO BE ORDERED. PROVIDER CALLED THEIR BASE (EMILY) TELLING HER OF THE SITUATION. EMILY REPEATED WHAT HAD ALREADY BEEN TOLD TO ME AND SAID SHE HAD AN OPENING ON TUESDAY, APRIL 8 BETWEEN 3-5. CUSTOMER RESPONDED BY TELLING EMILY LEAVING WORK EARLY AGAIN WAS NOT POSSIBLE SO SOON AFTER LEAVING FOR THE PRESENT APPOINTMENT. CUSTOMER TOLD EMILY THAT SHE COULD BE AVAILABLE AT 4 PM BECAUSE THAT WAS WHAT TIME CUSTOMER ARRIVED HOME FROM WORK. EMILY THEN STATED CUSTOMER "HAD TO BE AVAILABLE BETWEEN 3-5 IN CASE THE REPAIRMENT ARRIVED AT 3. CUSTOMER AGAIN STATED THAT CUSTOMER COULD NOT LEAVE WORK EARLY AGAIN IN SUCH CLOSE PROXIMITY. CUSTOMER DID NOT MENTION SHE HAD USED ALL OF HER PERSONAL LEAVE BANK TO MEET THE PRESENT APPOINTMENT. EMILY WAS STILL UNWAVERING AND UNREASONABLE TO CUSTOMER AND STATED THE COMPANY WAS PERFORMING A SERVICE FOR THIS CUSTOMER WHICH WAS VERY INSULTING IN LIGHT OF THE FACT THE CUSTOMERS PAYMENTS AND APPLIANCE BREAKDOWNS IS WHAT KEEPS THEIR COMPANY AFLOAT AND I THINK A LITTLE RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION WOULD HAVE GONE A LONG WAY. EMILY WOULD NOT MEET THE CUSTOMER HALF WAY TO DETERMINE A FAVORABLE SOLUTION TO THE TIME SCHEDULING AND AT THE TIME OF THIS WRITING CUSTOMERS WASHER IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. THE TECHNICIANS LEFT APOLIGETICALLY AND THE NEXT DAY I RECEIVED AN E-MAIL STATING I OWED $79.00 FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND STATING I HAD REFUSED TO MAKE A RETURN APPOINTMENT OR PAY FOR SERVICES RENDERED WHICH IS NOTHING SHORT OF A LIE. I WAS NOT ASKED FOR ANY PAYMENT I SUPPOSE BECAUSE OF THE SURROUNDING CIRCUMSTANCES. WHEN I RETURNED TO WORK APRIL 7, I LET MY MANAGER KNOW THAT THE PROBLEM HAD NOT BEEN SOLVED. I AM WORKING EXTRA TIME TO ACCUMMALTE LEAVE THIS WEEK TO ENABLE ME TO LEAVE EARLY THIS FRIDAY TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION. I ALSO TOLD MY MANAGER THAT SHE CAN DO EXACTLY HOW SHE WISHES BUT SHE WOULD BE PRUDENT TO AVOID USING THIS COMPANY FOR HER OWN WASHING MACHINE REPAIR NEEDS. I HAVE ALSO CONVEYED THIS INFORMATION TO OTHERS THAT I WORK WITH FOR THEIR FUTURE NEEDS. WHEN A CUSTOMER SIGNS WITH A PROVIDER FROM ANY OF THE SERIVCE RESOURCES ON THE WEB THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO END UP IN A HE SAID SHE SAID SITUATION AS IF THE CUSTOMER IS DEALING WITH IMMATURE CHILDREN. THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT ALSO HAVE TO DEAL WITH LIES AND INUENDOES USED TO COVER UP THE INCONSIDERATION OF A COMPANIES PERSONNEL. I HAVE ALSO MAILED THIS COMPANY THEIR $79.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE WHICH TECHNICALLY THEY ARE ENTITLED TO BECAUSE I DID AGREE TO PAY THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE. I HAVE ALSO FOUND THAT THEIR DIAGNOSTIC FEE IS ALMOST $30.00 HIGHER THEN SEVERAL OTHER APPLIANCE REPAIR PERSONS I HAVE RESEARCHED. SO FOR FUTURE NEED OF APPLIANCE REPAIR IT MIGHT BE PRUDENT TO RESEARCH OTHER RESOURCES AND AT ANY RATE TO AVOID THIS COMPANY.

WOW ! The extremity of this review, I don’t care to address the points. I will say that at Mr. Appliance we strive to give the best customer service possible. We do have regular work hours and if we don’t have the part on the truck we have to order the part and schedule a time to return to complete the call. We are not able to run across town to get the part and come back immediately. I’m sorry that things turned out the way they did and I hope [member name removed] will be able to find someone that she can work with. She did pay the service call that was due.

HOWEVER, MY SON HAS A COFFEE SHOP IN DOWNTOWN EDMOND AND HAS A RESIDENTIAL WINE COOLER IN HIS SHOP THAT THEY REFUSED TO SERVICE BECAUSE IT WAS IN A BUSINESS. IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE UNIT IS LOCATED WITHIN A BUSINESS OR NOT, IF THE WINE COOLER (WHICH WAS VERY SIMILAR TO THE ONE WE HAD FIXED) NEEDS REPAIR, THE SERVICE COMPANY SHOULD BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE REPAIRS NEEDED. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR "POLICY" REGARDING UNITS WITHIN A BUSINESS.

They came in and within five minutes they came up with the cost and started the repair. This is the fourth time I have called them and they’ve done a great job each time. The price was great and they were able to offer a senior and tornado victim discount.

It did not very well. They didn’t’ fix it because they said it was a power surge. It wasn’t a power surge because after a couple of days it started working and it’s worked great since then. Also, with them putting down power surge, our insurance wouldn’t even pay for it. They came out quick and they showed up on time but I wasn't impressed. They didn’t listen; they just assumed there was something wrong.

I'm glad the machine started working for you again but this is through a home warranty program, American Home Shield, and they contract us to do work for them and they make the decision to repair or not. We were told by them and by the customer that they had a power surge and that this was the second time it had happened. So by there contract that is not normal wear and tear and that is why they denied the claim. I would suggest putting a surge protector/filter on that unit. Jim Mr. Appliance
