B Downs and Bros

One brother asked another brother to go and check out our repair needs. He never showed or called. The next morning at 4:00 am (yes I said 4:00 am) we received a texted saying, sorry my brother did not tell me he did not make it over. He then proceeded to tell me he would come by early afternoon and patch the issue up no matter what, "I owe you that much" I won’t leave you hanging and will call on my way (his words). Tried contacting them at 11:00 am. He told me I was in luck he had a customer cancel; he would gather his stuff and head our way. at 2:00 pm he text and said he was on his way to our house waiting for price). Did not hear from him again until 4:30pm (I am assuming he just arrived at my house???) looking for an outdoor outlet. Told him we did not have one and yet he proceeded to help himself to our back yard to have a look around and leave the gate open. WE HAVE DOGS!!! (still no price given) AT 6:00PM I text to see if he was still there and he said yes and he could get stuff done if he did not keep getting interrupted. (So unprofessional) . At 8:00 pm the kids said he was still there (doing what, I have no clue) When I arrived to see the work , he had done it was beyond explainable. We had looked it up to see how it should have been done and for some reason these guys just slapped up some crap and called it good and never reattached the guttering to the roof , they had also backed their pickup onto our monkey grass and on the flower bed to use as a ladder???. the next day I texted them to let them know that the little piece of plastic 18" x 12" had blown off. They did not respond. Text again a couple days later and they did respond and he said, ( I am not a roofer and was trying to help but I got the short end of the stick and now don't you think you should have gotten a professional roofer) I am thinking really, maybe you should have told us you knew nothing about what you were doing and we would have looked elsewhere? we also looked at our receipt and lo and behold he charged us for things that did not pertain to our repairs, since when do you charge a customer for a $40 carpenters apron to fix their issue?. (our mistake there we should have looked before paying). These guys are NOT professionals, and will I tell a friend to use them, NO!. They fail to let you know up front they cannot do something, and they have no respect for someone’s property. Things could have been different if they had just told the truth to begin with. I understand this was a mistake and will not make it again nor let a friend make it either!
