Metric Motors

We have gone to Metric Motors for several years, and the service has been outstanding. After some recent heavy rains, one of my windshield wipers failed and wouldn't work. My wife took our van in (no appointment) to see if somebody could look at it. Within 10 minutes, it was repaired, at no charge. Again, amazing service. That's why we won't go anywhere else. Thanks again.

It was a very smooth service. They even gave my daughter a loaner car while they were working.

Fantastic!!!! Well above expectations

This was a very easy process. I called and made an appointment to take my car in. I dropped it off and described the symptoms. They called me to tell me what they found and what the cost would be for repair. They were very nice and didn't make me feel like an idiot. They offered information and answered all questions in a professional manner. I was without my car for only a short amount of time. I will recommend them to all of my friends.

First time I have been to them. Very Professional and very punctual. It was a very pleasant experience. They didn't pull any punches or throw up any smoke screens. Just the straight facts fixed exactly what was needed and gave me my discount. I will use them again. I had quotes for as much as $ 959.

The car is running reliably again. I am very happy with the work and the price.

I've noticed higher noises coming from my car when I go over small bumps in the road for some time; nothing terrible, just louder than it used to be. I suspected worn bushings. I take my 2000 Toyota Avalon to Metric Motors and told them to replace the strut bushings. (I've read many times that they go bad; sometimes in only 2-3 years.) I also asked them to check the control arm bushings, change the fuel filter, transmission fluid, transmission filter and check the air conditioner Metric Motors calls and says the bushings are fine. No need to replace them. SURPRISE! Most garages would simply have changed the bushings and charged me $800. After all that's what I asked for. They say the fuel filter is a lifetime filter and they don't recommend changing it unless there is a problem and they seldom see problems on Toyota Avalons. Again they could have just changed it and made money. Transmission filter? It's a lifetime filter. Toyota doesn't even sell a replacement and Metric Motors would not recommend using an after market filter. Keep the old filter. Wow! AC? It's still fully charged after nearly 16 years. No charge for AC inspection. We're down to changing the transmission fluid which they did. I'm expecting to spend $1,200. Instead the bill is $256 for a 16 quart synthetic transmission fluid replacement. Synthetic fluid is expensive. Standard Dexron III would have been something like $100 less. This is the type of honesty and service that will keep me coming back to Metric Motors for a long, long time. So, why was I hearing noise when going over rough surfaces? Turns out when changing the cabin filter two years ago I failed to reinstall one of the fasteners. Replace fastener: Problem solved.

I had two other Hondas prior to this one, and I always replaced the timing belt myself; however, I was at the point where I didn't want to do this again, and I took the car to Metric. I picked it up, and it idled OK, but the performance was lacking. I suspected the timing belt was off slightly, so I took the car back and asked them to check it. They kept my car the day, and when I picked it up, I was told the belt was fine. They said to put injector cleaner in the tank. As the car warmed up even more, it ran terrible. Given I know how to install the timing belt, I took the covers off, and sure enough, the belt was off a tooth. I took the car back, and Metric fixed it. I know this repair was done years ago, but every time I drive past their building I think of this, and a little anger wells up each time. I would have been screwed if I didn't know how to do the repairs myself. They also lied to me by stating the belt was on correctly - they obviously never checked it when I took it back in.

I had several Hondas and I have always used them if I had any mechanical work that needs be done. I think they are pretty reliable and seem to be pretty ethical. They are competent and trustworthy.

Honesty and fairness seem to be a bit rare in auto repair but not at Metric Motors. I was told my Audi needed a thousand dollars in repairs and came to them for a second opinion. They were up front about everything and all I really needed was a brake job. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation but told me to save my money for Christmas presents. The work was top notch and professional, but I felt like they were my friends.

I have been taking my car to them for 25 years. Everything went fine and they are the best. They are very efficient, honest and fairly priced.

This vendor, Metric Motors of Edmond, Oklahoma is one of the nicest, cleanest, well managed auto repair facilities I have had an experience with in my many years of owning autos. Even the waiting room has comfortable, plus sofas for waiting. They do not just perform a service, they tell you if they can't do the work required and then refer you on to another provider. I trust them and for a 78 year old, single female that is saying something. Most auto repair vendors just try to pull a snow job on us old people and I resent that. Metric Motors is authentic. Thank you for featuring them as one of your preferred vendors.

We took advantage of the night drop and left our key and minivan overnight. We listed three items we wanted looked at by them in addition to the oil change. We received a call the following day which confirmed the timing belt tensioner was leaking oil and the timing belt needed to be replaced, some recent work at another mechanic for a steering issue had damaged the steering pump O-ring and the A/C needed additional refrigerant. They indicated it would take a day to get the parts and then it would be ready the following day. I received an update when the parts arrived and then another call when my car was ready. They accepted the Angie's list coupon and explained that we should drive the car for a week and then bring it back for the A/C UV leak check. We brought the car back in for the UV leak check and no leak was found. No additional charge for the UV leak check - one of the first times I've ever left a mechanic without a fee. Overall, good quality work, no upselling of additional services/repairs and regular communication.

I went to Metric Motors because I had a check engine light on that all the places I'd gone to before told me could only be read by a dealer. They used their diagnostic tool to tell me that there were codes for all 4 oxygen sensors and the catalytic converter. I scheduled an appointment for later that week to have it replaced and to have them check/replace my brake pads that had been squeaking. I expected the work to take at least a few days so imagine my surprise when they called me just a few hours later to tell me my car was ready and that my brake pads didn't need changing just yet, for some reason other than being too worn down they were just squeaky. They offered to change them if I wanted but told me it wasn't necessary. I picked up my car and was pleased to see my check engine light was finally off. About a week later, the light was back on so I took my car back to Metric Motors to see what was up. The new part they put in my car had failed. That wasn't their fault but they replaced it and only charged me the difference in price of the second part vs the price of the first and again had it back to me within hours. The staff was always friendly and they seem to stand behind their work.

All went extremely well as always, every time, all-the-time! Metric Motors' staff are always extremely friendly; courteous and professional. Additionally, I can always rely on the adage "say what you mean and do what you say", this adage is certainly valid with Metric Motors. My vehicles are always delivered on-time and within the quoted price. I've never noticed any personal property missing, radio stations changed to the mechanic's station and my vehicles are always returned clean, i.e. no grease marks, etc. My truck had several issues that needed to be checked so the review and needed repairs took a day, no problem but the time span presented a logistic problem for me not anything to do with Metric Motors! As a result of this logistic issue my truck was in residence for a day and a half. Out of the kindness of Jeff and Mike, Jeff went out-of-his way and made arrangements to pick me up at my home and drove me to the Metric Motors to retrieve vehicle. I'm extremely grateful to Jeff for going out of his way! Not only are the front office guys great so are the personnel in back ops too! The Metric Motors' team are exemplary examples of how to run a business smoothly and provide outstanding customer service day in and day out! You are an asset to the Edmond community. Thank You.

I am very happy with them. They were very good. Their price was half than what others charge. They did a great job. It’s all good. They answered my call. They got the work done. They were friendly and professional. I will certainly use them again. They were good at keeping appointments and time frame schedules.

Overall great service and I will be bringing back our other import vehicle for additional service. Lobby was comfortable to wait in with magazines, WiFi, and TV.

It went great. I am always in and out within 30 minutes. I trust them to let me know of any issues with my vehicle.

John at Metric Motors is wonderful. He was able to get the price lower than what was estimated, and both cars were done early. We are extremely happy with every step of the process, which is why we ended up bringing both cars in and we will continue to bring both cars in until we get different cars. (and we will take them there, also) The quality of the work was outstanding and the customer service is wonderful. We felt like friends instead of customers, and that goes a long way with us.

I have used them since the 80s. They do what they say they will do, they give you estimates, and sometimes do it for less than the estimate. If they run into anything or have a problem, they contact us and make sure we understand what they are doing. If I want to see the old part, they keep all the junk around and show it to me.

They're wonderful. The service was absolutely an A. They are always on schedule and they always get his car back to him when they say they will.

We have been using Metric Motors for years and would not take our cars anywhere else. Brian is so great and we trust them to do our repairs and never worry about added costs, etc. They worked on our brakes and even though we expected to have to replace both rear and front, Brian told us we still had life on the rear set - how terrific id that?! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone - they are top notch!

Brought vehicle for second opinion on break work. Dealer indicated work was needed. Metric Motors indicated work was NOT needed. How refreshing. Will bring my vehicle here for all future work.

My son had had an issue with his headlights, after having replace the bulb twice within two months at Pep Boys, I knew it had to be more to the problem. I suggested that he take his car to an actual car dealer who services Infiniti's. He took his car to Bob Howard and they gladly contacted him back with a estimate of $1,100 to replace something called an HID box. I then decided to use my resources and look up Auto services on Angie's List. After reading the reviews on Metrics Motors, I told my son to take his car there. Once he got their he said they where very friendly and professional, they asked if he had a way back home and if not that they would be glad to have some to do so. He got the call back saying that he had some wires that and blown out and was able to fix the problem for about $160.00. I can't express my gratitude enough for your honest and fairness. After receiving the quote from Bob Howard he was actual going to go without having his lights fixed, so that his kids could still have a good Christmas, but after going to your establishment, he was able to get his lights fixed and not break the bank and still provide a great Christmas for his kids.
