He not only replaced the trim and painted the bad areas, but also touched up a few other areas on the door frame so that I would have everything looking good.
Description of Work: John removed the brick molding trim around the back service door to garage and around the back entry door to the house and replaced it with vinyl brick molding and painted the frames. (We had damage on two outside doors this year. Carpenter ants damaged some of the trim on one door before discovered, and rotting wood damaged the trim on the other door.)

Description of Work: Our wooden deck had several rotted boards, and was in need of painting (the last contractor who painted it did not do the work properly and the paint was peeling badly). John arrived when he said he would, explained exactly what he would do, and gave a fair estimate. He completed the work on time and did a fine job.

Description of Work: I had my mailbox knocked over by a car. I found this out on Saturday morning. I needed someone to dig out the remnants of the old mailbox post and install a new mailbox post and mailbox that I was going to buy that afternoon. Since I had no mailbox at the time, I needed this done quickly as they will not deliver mail without the box. I called Honey To Do and described my problem. They were very busy with other jobs all the next week. He realized the urgency of the request and he told me that if I could not find anyone else to do the work on Monday or Tuesday, to call him back and he'd come out on Monday night to do my mailbox. I made some more calls and I did find someone to do the work in the time period I needed. So while he did not end up doing the work for me, I was very impressed at his offer to come out after hours on Monday due to the urgency of the request.

+ -1 moreHe came on time for the estimate, but had to follow up with him to get dates to find out when he was coming (he said either Thursday or Saturday, I found out Thursday when I called him that he would be out Saturday). The day he was to come he called about 5 minutes after he was to be here because the hardware store he went to didn't have the part he needed, so he had to go to another store. We were pleased with his work, however, and would hire him again.
Description of Work: Repaired downspouts and sump pump drains, added support rails to back steps, caulked around some exterior outlets, re-caulked kitchen sink, counter, garden tub and showers, he also changed out a breaker for the correct amp age, he corrected a drainage hose in the dishwasher for height, and he cleared a downspout for blockage in the gutter.

Description of Work: I needed 3 new faucets installed, and 3 new light fixtures installed. I also wanted new caulking in my shower, and new weather stripping around my front door. John came to do the estimate exactly at the time we arranged. He was very knowledgeable about what was required, and gave me a very reasonable estimate. We agreed on a date, and he was very punctual and completed the work beautifully. Two of the light fixtures involved some drilling and patching, because the wires weren't where we expected them to be. John had to comeback to do the patching and arrived, once again, right on time and completed the work promptly. He was very careful to try to contain any mess, and completely cleaned up all evidence of his work.

He did the required repair in a timely manner and well within the cost that I could afford. Very nice person, quality was excellent. He was so helpful to me and definitely will hire in the future. I wish that we would have had him 6 months ago!! I would recommend John to anyone in need of repairs.
Description of Work: Repair of water damage to base board and tile in bathroom. Checked toilet bowels and replaced needed parts.

THE ONLY QUALMS I HAVE IS I HAD HIM TAKE SOME MEASUREMENTS TO RESCREEN OUR PORCH DOOR AND SCREENS ON OUR SCREENED-IN PORCH. I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM HIM YET, AND I DON'T THINK I WILL UNLESS I CALL HIM. IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND HE SAID IT WOULD BE HERE WITHIN THE WEEK.

THOUGH ONE NEVER LIKES TO SPEND THE MONEY, I AM GRATEFUL THAT I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE I CAN TRUST SHOULD I NEED HOME REPAIRS IN THE FUTURE.
