Comfort Keepers Home Care

It did not go well. They did not try to match up a person that would fit my mother. We ended up with a very young woman, who said she could cook and couldn't. The caregiver said she did certain housekeeping task and she didn't. We wanted someone to cook her dinner and stay with my mother, until she was done eating. The dinner food was sitting on the table and not eaten in the morning, from the night before. We informed them several time about out concerns and they were ignored. We told them not to come back after two months of dealing with the poor service.

We were sent 2 different people over the 3 days they were there for about 1-2 hours each day, the last one was a very frail looking, unkempt older man who seemed to be out of breath with the least exertion. It took him over an hour to drive the 3 miles to Walgreens to go thru the drive up window to pick up the prescription. He left early after doing absolutely nothing but tell me comfort keepers told him all he had to do was sit in the living room because there was some sick old man in the bedroom.

The helper from Comfort Keepers was terrific. The problem was that my dad didn't want her to do what we had planned- to complete the care plan. He felt that he could do the tasks himself, and so, after 4 visits, he canceled the service. I am certain that we will need their help again, and Elaine was very nice when I called to cancel. She said that my dad would remain in their system and so, when we need help in the future, we can call and get the services we need.
I do appreciate Comfort Keepers and would recommend them to others needing assistance.

I can not say enough good things about this agency, they really care and try to work with you to find a good match for both personalities and needs.  They really try to do the right thing.   I had tried other agencies before this one, the others were more interested in sending a warm body than they were a good fit - Comfort Keepers really works diligently to find a good fit.  They are a wonderful organization, and I hope they are around to take care of me when I get older and need help.

They were wonderful. They pitch right in and help wherever they can. They are very caring and very professional.

My elderly father was in the hospital and although I had stayed overnight in his room, I needed to get a night's sleep at home and did not want to leave him alone. I called Comfort Keepers and told them the situation and they quickly said that they could provide someone. I was very appreciative. They told me that the rate would be double for the hours from 8-midnight since it was labor day, and I didn't really have a choice. I wanted someone to be with my dad. They sent a very nice person but there was a language barrier and my dad couldn't understand the person very well. My dad said he did not need a sitter for the other nights. The cost of this service was an issue and we cannot regularly afford this service, but we do appreciate that it was available when we needed it.

They are very professional. They're bonded, insured and do background checks.This particular branch is very professional and responsible. They're friendly, personable, professional and polite. Their quality is good. I like the range of services they offer including running errands, shopping, doing laundry and cooking. They also will pick up my child and do housework. I'm still using them on an ongoing basis.

They were excellent care givers.  One of them even followed the emergency squad and stayed with my Mother in the Emergency Room until my arrival when we found out my Mother would be admitted to the hospital.  It was so nice that my Mother wasn't alone in the Emergency Room.

I have been very pleased with them. They have been able to accommodate the schedules that we need. The people that they have been sending have been very good. I feel comfortable when I have to leave my father. I never have any trouble reaching them when I need schedule changes or services. So, I have been very pleased. They were not cheaper, but they were comparable.

The overall experience was okay.  There were a couple people that came in that really didn’t do a whole, but then there was some that came that were excellent. I’d recommend them to others.

They have been very responsive. My sister and I live out of town and relied on them to take care of our parents. On occasion, my father could be difficult and so it took a special kind of person to deal with them. Some of the employees have now become part of our family.

The only real problem is that they always send out different people so I have to tell them what to do each time they come out. Sometimes the people they send out are not the most professional.

My wife is disabled and they are nice and talk with her and help her out with things. The approximate cost is per hour.

THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AT FIRST. THE LAST TIME THEY RESCHEDULED AT LEAST THREE TIMES! EVEN THEN NO ONE SHOWED UP. THEY PROMISED, IN THE CONTRACT, SPECIAL TASKS BUT WORKERS WOULD REFUSE. THEY CHARGED $20 AN HOUR WITH A TWO HOUR MINIMUM.

THEY ARE WONDERFUL! RATES ARE REASONABLE! VERY PLEASANT AND POLITE!!
