Description of Work: In 2014 I discovered that Scotts was charging me based on 10,000 sq ft of space when in fact I had only 7,500 sq ft of treatable ground. I measured the entire lot and determined that Scotts was using the plot from Union Township which did not exclude the house, patio driveway and sidewalks. When I informed them they were not cooperative and when I forced the issue, they finally returned the overcharge for one year, refusing to go back at lease four years the period I was overcharged. Their staff knows practically nothing about grass in this area and when a question is posed, they look into space. The best example was when they wanted to plant grass seed within 24 hours of a crab killing treatment and fertilization. It was only luck that I was home and stopped the seeding. I couldn't believe their comments that it was okay to seed. I have enough literature addressing grass in this region to know that they were wrong. I have more tales, but these were the most current.

Description of Work: I started service in mid year and was to get four treatments by the end of the year. I only received two with no reason given for the skipped treatments. I'm now supposed to get these additional treatments next year. I will not continue treatments beyond the ones I have already paid for.

Description of Work: I reviewed Angie's list for weed control and lawn care. I received a few bids by phone. I had a meeting at my home with a Trugreen sales rep. The sales rep. was not a fast talking, nor a pushy type. He took his time and answered my questions. He painted a very nice picture of the company. And after he measured my yard, the bid was about $10.00 less per application than the others bids. I signed a Service Agreement on 4/25/2013. After signing the rep. gave me some 'tips' on lawn care business and gave me his cell phone number. He said that he and Trugreen really cared about my lawn. About 3 days later my wife called to find out when they would be coming to apply the first application. She was told 5-7 days from signing the agreement. I also received two letters from Trugreen. Both stated that a 'specialist will be visiting my property to perform a lawn analysis including soil condition, grass type, lawn usage'. No one came. Both letters stated that if no one was home, a service summary will be left at my front door. On a personal note, I had an operation on my ankle and I'm stuck in my home. I'm here every day and night. No one from Trugreen came to do any work. No service summary was left at my front door. Today is 5/14/2013, and still no one from Trugreen has been to my home. I have called the phone numbers in the agreement and left messages. No one returned my calls. I called the sales rep’s cell number and left a message. He never called back. This morning I called the 800 number and a pleasant sounding lady answered. I started to tell her that no one had come to work on my lawn and she said that I was on the list to have an application on my lawn today. I told her that if no one came I was going to cancel the agreement. She assured me that the guys are coming today. I waited until 4:50pm. No one came. I called the 800 number again and this time a guy answered. I told him to cancel the agreement. His response was that the guys could be there any minute. I demanded that he cancel the agreement. He said that he would but it could take 3 to 5 business days to refund the money that I paid. I called an '866' number and found my way to customer service. I was told that my Agreement is canceled and in 3 to 5 days the payment will be refunded. So I'm waiting.

Description of Work: Scotts Lawnservice was spraying in our neighbors yard, and our dogs were outdoors in their own backyard during my lunch break. Within seconds, I heard our dogs barking and ran outside to see what was going on. The Scotts seviceman was spraying down the side of our fence, and the spray was getting all on our dogs who running along side of our fence. I went running outside to try to get my dogs, but the serviceman did not stop, he just kept right on spraying chemicals which I could see clouding up everywhere. He didn't even try to give me a chance to get them away. It was so rude and unprofessional, and my dogs smelled like chemicals afterwards, not to mention if it was harmful for them to breathe it in. We use TruGreen for our lawn and I would recommended them instead.

Description of Work: SIGNED UP FOR STANDARD LAWN SERVICE --38.00 PER APPLICATION.i HAVE A SMALL LAWN AND HAD TO REPEATEDLY CALL THEM WITH WEED ISSUES..NEVER COULD GET A DECENT LOOKING LAWN..AFTER CANCELLING TWICE AND LE T THEM TALK ME INTO GIVING THEM ANOTHER CHANCE...FINALLY GAVE UP AND QUIT THEM FOR GOOD.WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! i NOTICED THEIR VISITS TOOK ONLY 10 MINUTE OR LESS...NO WAY COULD THEY DO A DECENT JOB IN THAT TIME FRAME...LOOKS LIKE THEY JUST WANT TO "GET IN AND GET OUT" AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE...
