Advanced Door Systems

We invited bids to replace our garage door, a "double wide" that had had several encounters with hockey pucks in recent years. Advanced Door's product was not only competitive with everyone else, but included a larger number of color options, one of which matched best with our needs. Throughout the Q/A processes, Jenny Marsh was immediately responsive at all times and helped keep our decisionmaking process on track. Finally, the installation was precisely on schedule, and done professionally and quickly. The old door left the premises with the installers, and the work area was spotless. Can't ask for better than that.

The owner Billy Marsh arrived within 24 hours of my call. He was puntual and professional. Upon completion of his work, he walked me through everything that he did and explained to me what steps could be taken to prevent a reoccurrence.

Our garage door was stuck in the open position. We assumed the spring broke. Advanced Door came very quickly, found that the problem was in a link rather than the spring, and serviced the door. We also asked them for a quote on a new door opener, and they were totally honest about the conditions at our home that could affect both installation and long term maintenance. We were very impressed with their knowledge, and honesty. We will definitely use them again.

We left a msg before 8am to request quote to replace the spring. Jenny returned the call before 10am from out of town. She was able to offer a end of the day appointment instead of another firm which was only willing to quote "sometime" in the afternoon. Thirty minutes before the appointment, she call to advise that the technicians are on their way. Because I missed the call, she actually called back again after 10minutes to make sure I got the msg. Two technicians showed up within 5 minutes of the scheduled appointment time. They were both patient in answering questions and efficient in performing the repair. It turned out, one of the technician was the owner, and the two of them have been work partners for many years. From start to finish, the job took about an hour to complete. I appreciated the advise that certain part of the door is showing wear and should be attended to. It is always nice to work with a dependable independent business owner who is hand-on. Angie's list is a great way to find such a company.

On the 22nd, My torsion spring broke. So that night, I googled how to fix it. Most of what I read said leave the torsion springs to the experts. So while at work, I got on Angie's list and called Advance Door Systems (since they were highly rated and close to my home). The receptionist was able to get a team to my house that afternoon. She gave me a window of between 2 and 4. I received a call saying they finished a job early and could be there at 1. I couldn't make 1, so when I got home at 2, they had just pulled in the drive. They repaired the spring, and they also lubricated all the tracks, wheels, and all the stuf on the opener as well. This was all performed withing 30 minutes. The crew was professional, and polite. I definately will use them again. Maybe even to get a new opener.

I left a voice mail Thursday night. I received a call back Friday morning around 9AM and took an apointment for the same day afternoon. The person showed up within the given time window and was done within ~40 minutes. The work was done without any issue. Very professional company. I strongly recommend. I will use again when I need servicing or replacement for my garage door.

Great experience likely saving me about $100

From reading other Angie's List reviews, I expected things to go well, but Advanced Door Systems exceeded those expectations. Their efficiency, pleasantness, professionalism, communication, and pricing were all absolutely excellent. I was so relieved to get the problem solved so easily and quickly. Everyone was terrific.

Things went very well. Although there was a bit of a hiccup in communication about everything that needed to be done, when I pointed it out, they took care of it right away. I cannot believe how quiet my door is, and it is so great to drive up and not see the bottom part of the door out of alignment and to not worry about the opener pulling out of the wall and hitting the ceiling. Very good, down to earth people who are genuinely very nice to work with.

It went very well. They were quick, efficient, and didn't try to upsell me. They gave both doors a full inspection and told me how to maintain them. Any additional garage door work I need they are the first company I will call.

My son pressed the opener button and we heard a terrible metallic scraping sound. We went into the garage to see our door falling off the rails, wheels popped off, the opener detached and rails bent. Advanced Door Systems came out to quote us a new door and the gentleman explained that our door was in great shape and he would be able to repair the door for us. The next day it snowed 5 inches and they weren't able to make it over due to the road conditions. The following morning and were at my door at 8:45am. They worked efficiently replacing needed parts and reattaching the door opener. My husband hadn't attached it correctly so they moved it to where it needed to be. They answered all of my questions and determined that a plastic bat had probably gotten stuck between the garage door and side of the house causing the opener to pull harder until the wire broke and wheels popped off. This is the company I will trust to call for any future garage door needs.

They got here very quickly and did a very good job. Everything works. We were happy with the work. One of the repairmen told me that he was amazed that the door had worked for so long with the spring broken. He sent me literature for a possible replacement. I thought the work would be a lot more involved. They had everything with them, and they were able to fix it the first time they came. They seemed to know what they were doing.

One of our 20 year old openers finally quit. Advanced came out and couldn't repair it. We agreed on installing new openers on both sides. They were very professional, came exactly on time, and the price was very fair (2 new belt drive openers, extra remote, and keyless entry for $600 installed). The installation was neat and professional and the new openers work great!

Extremely well. Service technician arrived exactly when promised, diagnosed the problem, and walked me through every step of fixing it. He also gave me a lesson in how to properly maintain the door. Importantly, we had another company out to fix it a year ago, but the problem came back. The Advanced Door technician identified the core issue as improper installation of the opener, which he fixed quickly and well.

They came out the same day we called. We thought it was just jammed, but it turned out we needed a new garage door opener. They were very polite and very professional. They told me exactly what we needed, and we were very happy with the work. It got taken care of that same day.

The work went on well and I got an estimate for $210 over the phone. The serviceman then called back and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He gave me a time period from 9 to noon. He stuck to that time period and was there for about an hour. He did a great job and left. He was top notch. I would use their services in the future too.

I really liked them. They have good prices and service. They are really friendly. There was only one spring broken and they replaced the other one just for the cost of the spring which was really nice. I was really happy with them.

Outstanding. I have had the same guy work on my garage door before. He is very trustworthy, honest, thorough. I used this same company when I first moved in and the garage door was so noisy. They are very knowledgeable. Worked with me on the timing of the call, and I could leave him to his work so I could get to mine. Jenny will work with you to find a good time, and they are not trying to push you to buy things. I was READY for this new door opener. The door opened right up with the code when I got home that night and it is practically silent. I am thrilled.

They came out on time to do the work. They did the job quickly and they did what they said they were going to do and at the prices they said they would do.

Great. The technician explained all the steps he was performing and why, so I could do some self maintenance on minor issues in the future. The particular problem of the day was fixed with a slight increase in the torque screw (my term) but he also sprayed WD40-like substance in the track which quieted the operation perceptibly. I hadn't noticed it was noisy until it was fixed. The door is less sensitive now to stopping when it hits something, but I knew exactly what to adjust to fix that to my liking because of the in service from the technician.

Went very well, even came out before the installation of the new door to patch a broken spring, allowing us to use our old door opener until the new door arrived.

I scheduled with Jenny. She was very polite. The technician arrived at the scheduled time and was also polite. He wasn't aware of the $10 Angie's List coupon so I paid the $90. I called Jenny. She said she does honor the coupon and apologized that she hadn't informed her technicians. She offered to mail me a $10 check the next day. It happened that the technician forgot his ladder so he brought my $90 check back and I gave him a $80 check.

The rep. was very nice, and we almost hired them, but decided to go with a slightly higher quality door from another company for a slightly higher price. We felt Advanced Door was a qualified company who knew their business and would have done a good job.
