My husband and I went to Dewey Furniture to look for a recliner. The saleswoman greeted us, and showed us the recliners. She was friendly and responsive. We were able to look around the store unhindered and found an item we were interested in buying. We purchased the piece with a protection plan. We were told it would be approximately six weeks for delivery. We were told that the delivery team would call and give us an approximate time for delivery. On 4/27/13, the scheduled day of delivery, the men showed up unannounced. They were hurried but not rude. I felt they could have been more gentle with the furniture, but it didn't seem to be damaged. They wanted to know exactly what we had ordered because there was another piece like ours on the truck only with an additional piece with it. I told him we only had the one item. I looked over the recliner and did not see anything that said it had been treated with a furniture protectant. I didn't find any tags or stickers. I called Guardsman and was told that there should have been a sticker on the piece. I called the store and was told that if I had bought the treatment then it had been applied. Two days later one of the decorative nail heads from the front arm of the chair was found on the floor. There were several other ones that were loose, also. They were not spaced evenly or deeply enough like they were on the other chair arm. My husband said that it did not recline smoothly like the other side. There was not the same amount of stuffing either. I called Dewey Furniture and their repair man came out. He examined the item, took many pictures and notes and told me that he would see if it could be returned or repaired and would get back with me. I asked about the treatment sticker and was told that they do not put stickers on the furniture because it could cause a discoloration on the fabric. On June 12th I called the store because I had not heard back about what was going on concerning the recliner. I admit I was rude with the manager which was wrong on my part. I was told that the repairman was on his honeymoon and would get back with me. On June 17th the repairman called and I spoke to him about my disappointment with the recliner. We agreed to send that half back to the company. He said it would be several months before I would receive a replacement, and I agreed. He came to the house, and proceeded to do the same things he had done on the first visit. He took pictures and notes and fixed the center console that was crooked while he was here. I called on August 8th to find out the progress on the recliner. I was told that Flexsteel would not take back the one half of the recliner and that he was waiting on the nail heads, stuffing, and reclining mechanism to come in. When they did he would take the piece and repair it. So, this is the story so far on the Flexsteel love seat. I have received some service, but the work has not been done on the loveseat, yet. I know I will not buy another Flexsteel product. I am disappointed with Dewey Furniture.

My only disappointment was our sofas were back-ordered but the store had nothing to do with that. My husband was there for the delivery. He said the delivery went smoothly. We are very happy with our furniture and the service we received from Mark at Dewey furniture. We would definitely go there again.
Description of Work: We looked around the store trying to figure what we liked. We saw some furniture but we were not quite sure of how it would fit. We talked with Mark about our dilemma. He said he could come out and measure our livingroom for us so he could better help us with sofa and table sizes. Mark was on time for the visit. He gave us a few options. The next time we went to the store we were much better prepared thanks to Mark. Once we picked out what we wanted, Mark double measured to make sure everything would fit properly. He spent a lot of time with us. We never felt rushed.

They are excellent. They bend over backwards to help you. This time, we chose to have them come out and give us ideas instead of us going in with our own ideas. We are now redoing the living room, dining room, and kitchen. They are extremely friendly and do a fantastic job. The people there are just so easy to work with and we have been very satisfied with their work over the years.
Description of Work: We are getting furniture, carpeting, and tiles from them and they are installing it.
