I was told that the first cut was going to be $40 and each week after that would be $30. I signed the contract. I ended up writing a check for the two appointments done in May and advance for the 4 weeks of June on June 5th, totalling $180.00. I was told that my lawn didn't need to be mowed the week of the 5th and they also didn't mow Friday the 28th since I called and said that it wasn't needed. Friday July 5th they called and said that they wouldn't be coming out to mow since it had rained the previous day. This when they also started claiming that I owed them for the month of June. They said that they wouldn't mow anymore until I paid the, I have a copy of the bank statement showing when they deposited the check for $180.00. They didn't comment on the fact that I had made out the previous check for 180 and he kept saying that he had cut 4 times. The $180 is 6 cuts at the price of $30 so I'm not sure what he was trying to say. They threatened to take me to court for non-payment and they said were going to terminate the contract. They never did acknowledge that I had paid them in advance. The call ended with them saying that they would cut my lawn twice for "free" and then consider the contract terminated. I never received a copy of the contract after signing and they had listed, on their advertising flyer, the Angie's List logo. Turns out they aren't on Angie's List as far as I can tell.
Description of Work: I hired Summerscape Landscaping in May to cut my lawn on a weekly basis.
