Excellent. We could not be more pleased with Jacob and his crew. Jacob designed a craft room and half-bath to be constructed in our basement. He secured all necessary permits and his staff communicated with us on a daily basis informing us as to who was coming in next and at what time they would be arriving. All crew members were extremely polite and cordial. Cleanup was performed at the end of each workday. They were cooperative when we requested several minor alterations to the original plan. Bob and Jeff offered several suggestions which worked out better for us. The finished project more than exceeded our expectations. We are already considering Jacob's Ladder for another project. We had Jacobs ladder install a hardwood floor in multiple rooms, rip out and cap plumbing, drywall repair, painting, 3 window installations, and installing wainscoting. They did an amazing job. It took 8-9 weeks for them to start, but they said and the reviews said that they do take a while to start work. Mike and Jacob were in touch regularly to let us know where we were at. They are worth the wait. Our house looks amazing. They really take pride in how their work looks when it is done. If you want a job done fast they are not for you. If you want your home to have work done that you can be proud of and enjoy for years to come, then go with Jacobs Ladder.

Work was done when promised and completed on time. We are very happy with the work. My only concern is that we still get roofing nails coming out of the downspouts when it rains. So maybe they could have done a better job of cleaing that part up. Otherwise we are very satisfied.

After partially finishing the job, contractor owner argued with me, then promised to complete it. A week later he refused to follow through, unless I paid double the original amount. I advised him that his services were no longer needed. Previous work done by this company had been satisfactory. But, I am very disappointed in contractor's failure to complete current job per his written proposal. Payment in full was sent to end the nuisance. We will not use and can not recommend Jacob's Ladder in the future.

Everyone was very good but there was not a lot of notice when the ladder was in and they were ready to install. Quality and clean up were very good. They also sent the bill solely by email, but everything was as expected.

This company did a fantastic job. We needed a new roof and had some rotting wood in the bay window. We got three quotes and Jacobs Ladder was the only one who thought of cheaper alternatives even after they found out we had ran insurance claim. The other two seemed to want to get as much money as they could from the insurance company. Jacob was honest, did the work required, his workmen were clean and polite and the cost was reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone!

The two carpenters installed the attic ladder in a couple of hours. Hauled away the old ladder. Hot conditions in the garage didn't seem to slow them down. They did excellent work. I'll use them again for small jobs around the house.

Extraordinarily well. Jacob's crew cleaned up at the end of every work day. They were punctual, communicated their schedules well, and extremely polite. I couldn't be happier with their services and will absolutely not use anyone else for future remodeling projects. (We have two more bathrooms to do, and a host of other projects.)

This was an emergency. My old water heater had leaked through the sub floor in my furnace room. I had a new water heater coming, but no one to replace the floor. I called Jacob and he sent out a very nice man who replaced the floor. Not just anyone, but a master carpenter with many years of experience. The service and response was super! Last year Jacob replaced my front porch, repaired some fencing, pulled a larger bush and hauled away some yard debris. If you really need something done right Jacob is the one to call. EXCELLANT!

Very well. Jacob came and did a very extensive, free diagnostic so he could give me a relatively accurate price quote--which was extremely accurate. I had some difficultites with my sink after he left, and he returned the following evening, even though I was an unscheduled, and he was busy, to completely repair my kitchen sink and water pressure. Very professional, punctual and cost effective.

No problems. Good communications. On time and fast. Lowest quote of four bids (but not by much -- all bids were clustered pretty close together). Advised of extra work (damaged sheeting, damaged/deteriorated vents) via phone before replacement. Good cleanup.

the job was done neatly, professionally, and efficiently this is the third job these guys have done for me. I would not hesitate to call them again.

The quote was $8500. They were very thorough, very prompt and very professional. He was a very nice guy. I felt very comfortable with him and him being in my home. We have actually hired him to do the stairwell project that we have. He will be replacing a door and then doing paneling down in the basement hallway. The quote was right in line with the other two quotes that we had already had. I felt that he was thorough with the estimate. It was essentially a hard decision for us because all the three companies were very highly recommended on Angie's List, and they were all right in line with one another.

Jacob Lewandowski and his crew were excellent from the beginning to the end of our remodeling project. They tore everything out of the bathroom, leaving only the studs, and in four weeks we were amazed at what they were able to do. Not only did we have a beautiful new bathroom, but new countertops and a new sink in the kitchen. They also replaced a complete wall in one bedroom, did ceiling and wall repairs in our upstairs hallway, did some ceiling work in a second bedroom and also in the kitchen. The professionalism and craftsmanship of the whole crew was outstanding. They made sure that we were satisfied with everything, and they were quick to respond if we had any issues. The whole job was completed in the original projection of 4 weeks, and even though the crew ran into a few challenges, they worked through them, and much to his credit, Jacob was able to keep the cost at the price that was agreed upon. Jacob was also very helpful at the beginning with suggestions for the layout of the new bathroom, and he immediately put us at ease about taking on such a huge project. I have other projects in mind for the future, and I will definitely welcome back Jacob, Mike, Bob, Jeff, Chris, Joe, Isaiah and the rest of the Jacob's Ladder crew to work their magic again!

Overall it went well. Thought we'd need to wait 6 weeks but there was a cancellation and it was done in 2 weeks.

Jacob was punctual and his estimate was very reasonable. The work was done well and quickly. I recommend him highly for the aforementioned plus his eye for detail, work ethic, and professionalism.

researched handymen on Angies List and saw great reviews about Jacob's Ladder, called him up, he came out promptly, provided a very fair quote, and commenced work shortly thereafter. Couldnt have asked for a better arrangement. Quality work and trusted them to perform work while we were not at home.

I had a list of items I needed work done and met with Jacob and we went through the list and looked at each item and discussed what needed done. An approximate time was set up and we agreed on being flexible as one item was outdoors and it was December. The work was completed as quickly as weather permitted and my back yard fence is in better shape than I imagined it would be.

Job was estimated accurately, performed accordingly, and completed in a timely manner. New roof looks terrific and we have noticed no problems subsequently during this rainy month of April. Good communication with workmen during the job - they tried to minimize our inconvenience and were careful around our shrubbery, outside fixtures, etc. They kept the job site tidy while working and performed very good clean-up at the end No down payment required and no unexpected "up-charges" at the end.. Company honored its Angie's List coupon without hesitation. We are quite pleased with their work and highly recommend them. Have used them in the past for miscellaneous repairs, painting, etc. and look forward to doing so again.

The original estimate was $7500.00; due to the ridge edge roofing having to be cut back to apply new fascia boards and drip edge, it was an additional $675.00. The job originally was estimated at taking 1 1/2 weeks to complete; due to rainy weather, it took 3 weeks. Bob and Jeff are always meticulaus in their work. I was very impressed with the aluminum trim work framing the window and doors, as it hides the J channel of the siding, therefore eliminating lines. There was no insulation installed on the original siding job, so this was also applied. The breezeway was in need of repairs where it connected to the garage. The guys did an excellent job with this. The old painted 4 x 4's on the front porch were replaced with vinyl ones (added more character to the overall house than I expected). The siding looks so good, I didn't want anything re-attached to the house (not even the phone lines - oops, sorry Bob..my bad). Two days after the guys were finished, another crew showed up and installed seamless gutters.

I contacted Jacob's ladder during the week of April 1 to complete some miscellaneous repair work at a rental property that we are converting for sale. When I called, I was given a date the following week for Jacob to come and provide an estimate. On the day of the estimate, Jacob was on time. He was extremely professional and provided a detailed quote including a recommendation for the door we were replacing (with cost for the door). My husband was very impressed with his professionalism and schedule the work for the following week. We were not required to pay a deposit at the time the work was booked. Our job was relatively small (mostly labor) so this may not be the case with larger jobs. Jacob scheduled the work to be completed the following Friday (April 19). On Thursday morning, he called us to ask if they could come a day early, which was a first for us in the contractor world. :) We agreed to this and unlocked the house (it is empty) for the workers doing the work. A couple of hours later, I stopped by to make sure everything was going ok. The man doing the work on teh front door (Dave I believe) was extremely professional and courteous. My husband stopped by later to check on the work. Jacob was also there. He had come back to the worksite to check on the progress of the work and to make sure the quality was to his standards. Unfortunately, I have found that this is also a rarity with contractors. The work was completed in one day and was done to a high quality standard. The workers cleaned up the mess and took the old materials (including old door) away. I couldn't be more pleased with the responsiveness, professionalism and quality of the work done by Jacob's Ladder. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again. The total cost for the work including the door itself was $725.

Jacob's Ladder Handyman Services were wonderful. They had a little difficulty with punctuality, he was running 15 minutes late on our first meeting when he was coming to give us an estimate - he called and said he would be running a few minutes late. He was supposed to come on a Friday and he didn't. He called and apologized, there was a secretarial problem, it was the secretary's last day and she didn't pass the assignments on to some of the workers. He gave us a reduced rate as a result. He was just wonderful and so was the work he did. He took the attic stairs back to his workshop having said they weren't going to be repairable, but he did a few adjustments and brought them back and they are working great. He put doorknobs on, put lines up, put screens up on our doors, vents in for our furnace. It was quite a bit of work. I have nothing but an excellent review for him.

I wasn't pleased with the end result the first time around. I informed them and they came back out and did a wonderful job in correcting the issue and would not accept payment until I was satisfied with the work.
